Wow! Where do I begin? We were looking to buy the house we had been renting for the past 8 years and already considered our home and I was nervous that we couldn't do it. So, I am at least 10 years behind in leaving my overwhelmingly POSITIVE review for Brent Wilson and Anthony Bartone! I have closed countless loans with them in over more than a decade. I have personally ben involved (as a broker, buyer or as a referring agent) with Brent closing loans in the counties of Sacramento, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado and a few others as well! How we met: As a real estate broker, an offer with Brent and Anthony's pre-approval for a VA loan came across my desk circa 2005 on a listing I had. I was a very productive agent at the time, closing 25-50 transactions per year and, I had not yet worked with Brent. The offer submitted was a great offer however, I was skeptical as I had never worked with Brent or Anthony in the past and many loan brokers in town couldn't handle VA loan navigations and therefore, typically generated the need for multiple time extensions, caused delays and, ultimately, these "other" VA loan brokers never closed the loan disappointing the veteran and the seller. I called Brent to assess his pre-approval process and the buyers ability to qualify for the product written in the offer and, I got to know him via a phone interview. Brent sounded very efficient and effective over the phone and, answered all of my questions. I was able to recommend the offer to the sellers and, they accepted. Brent CLOSED THE VA LOAN EARLY WITH ZERO PROBLEMS!!!! The veteran got their dream home and everyone was pleased with the process. I was so happy with Brent's professionalism and navigation of a more difficult loan type that he immediately became my go-to loan officer FOR EVERYTHING! As time moved on and we closed more and more transactions together, I additionally recommended him to my circle if friends, family and people I do business with and, he closed loans in at least seven counties throughout California for my friends, family etc... including my very particular parents, 3 acre ranchette home in the wine country! Brent and Anthony can handle loans all over the state and in all price ranges. You will get as much attention and expertise if you are buying a $150,000 home or a 10-million dollar home. I know this for sure as I have closed multiple price points with Brent and Anthony over a decade. I am FINALLY writing Brent, Anthony and their loan processor Rebekah a big THANK you as they just closed our dream home in Santa Barbara! Shopping for a home under 2-million in Santa Barbara is TOUGH due to short supply and, we missed out on several homes to other buyers. After TWO years of shopping, we prayed for a miracle! We just needed a place to live other than our 400-sq/ft apartment and rents here for houses are out of control! Finally God smiled on us and we got a THIRD position backup offer accepted and finally moved into first position! We were in escrow! We were SO excited... well, for five minutes... and then I started to stress to the max!!! Like pepto, tums and prilosec level stress. I literally was so worried and stressed out during the entire escrow process that I made myself SICK and had to keep antacids by my bed! Santa Barbara is incredibly competitive in the under 2-Million price range, especially if you cannot pay all-cash, and I lost sleep every night that we wouldn't get the house we fought so hard to get into escrow and still only got THIRD backup on. One wrong move in an escrow here and you get CANCELLED! Luckily, I just kept telling myself my loan affirmation "If anyone can do this loan Brent CAN! If anyone can do this loan Brent CAN! If anyone can do this loan Brent CAN!" As I had closed countless loans with Brent I knew that he was the only person I could 100% trust to get the job done, on time, and not get us cancelled due to multiple loan extensions and/or loan delay shenanigans! The scary part was, I knew if Brent couldn't do our loan, there was nobody better out there and we would lose our amazing house. Long story short.... we closed escrow!!! On time, no hassles, even given our more difficult loan type, AND NOW WE LIVE AT THE BEACH!!!! We finally were able to adopt a dog from the county shelter and life is great!!!
