The office staff was friendly, the nurse was attentive to my concerns and relayed them to Dr. Stutzman. When the doctor came in she was the perfect amount of calm and concern. She asked questions and listened to my answers and concerns. She explained to me what options I had for testing and walked me through what the schedule would look like. She was reassuring without it coming across as dismissive. I appreciate her and the quality of care this obgyn office provides.

This procedure was supposed…read moreto help figure out why I suffer from chronic hiccups--episodes that last 24 to 48 hours straight, where I hiccup with every single breath I take. While I was with the nurses preparing for the procedure, Dr. Briggs walked in and asked, "How are the hiccups, are they getting any better?" I told him no. His response was, "Sounds like you're going to have to deal with that the rest of your life." In that moment, my heart sank. I felt like all hope had been ripped away from me. I held back tears in the room, but inside I was completely shattered. The thought that I might have to live the rest of my life like this was unbearable. After the procedure, I sat in my car and broke down, sobbing from the devastation of his words. But deep down, I know this isn't the end of my story. With the right doctor and God's will, there is hope. I will never return here again.

She is Lebanese and has a really cool accent. I appreciate show efficient and clear she was with my symptoms and diagnosis. She mentioned the allergy season is getting shorter but more intense, which coincides with my experience. After the examination, I was walked to someone else's office to discuss insurance and payment information. They were very thorough. I appreciated the amount of details. I decided to schedule a test to determine what exactly I'm allergic to. Their Utica office is more convenient, so that's where I went for my test and treatment.

I said no my co-pay is $35. They refused to verify my co-pay stating they had already verified it. So I called my insurance company. It took about 20 minutes, but my insurance company called to tell them that my co-pay was indeed only $35, not $50. I was then told by the office staff that 'everybody makes mistakes.' maybe so..... but I was basically accused of being a liar! I don't consider that a mistake. I just consider it rude and inappropriate. So I attempted to pay the $35 co-pay, but they did not have change, so I did not make any payment at that time. After their 'mistake', I was told that I was now late for my appointment, and it would be the provider's decision whether I was seen or not. The doctor did see me. I was with him for no more than 10 minutes. He was not able to offer any help. A few days later, I called and spoke with what I was told was the office manager. I explained to them that I was basically called a liar and then subjected to being accused of being late for an appointment. I requested that the doctor be notified of what happened. I also requested that the co-pay be waived because of how the staff treated me. I simply wanted to make sure that the doctor was aware of how his staff treated me. I never got an answer, I just got a bill. My guess is, the doctor has no idea happened. I chose to pay three dollars of the $35 co-pay. Next month I'm only gonna be able to afford $1. I notice many of the reviews for this clinic cite poor treatment by staff. I agree 100%! The staff at this clinic is unprofessional, and quite frankly, hateful. The doctor needs to hire new staff. Not impressed! Go elsewhere folks!
