We are actually from Raleigh but needed some bottles and items over the holidays, as our usual place was closing by the time we got back home. The customer service here was too notch! The visit was really for my husband, as he is the brewing in the family, but on his behalf, I'm writing the review. We came to Brew and Bottle from Norfolk after the location we were originally planning to go to for supplies was mysteriously closed. We arrived just before they were due to open, so gave it a little bit so as to not walk in as soon as they opened. My husband was looking for a few particular items and was successful in finding them. He then had some questions about the difference between a few products and the type of brewing (mead) that he does. The man working today was extremely knowledgeable and easily answered the questions while also giving other tips and advice he hadn't thought about. We were pleased with out visit, the selection and the service. We'd return again. read more

I had some issues with my kegerator at home and decided I would stop in here to see if I could get some advice. I met Brian and he got me setup with everything I needed. Very good customer service!!! Came here after the shop on my side of the HRBT closed and I am so glad I did. Their selection of ingredients and homebrew supplies is excellent and I personally love the wall of hops they have. Brian was very helpful and even helped me do some conversions I needed. Its a 40 mile drive for me but, well worth it. See ya next brew day (tomorrow), lol. read more

Where do I start... My better half mentioned to me that I hadn't offered a review of Brew and Bottle yet! I guess I don't do reviews very often... I've been a happy customer since the very first time I walked into the store soon after its grand opening. I'm proud to say that it's my local homebrew store. I feel very fortunate to be able to get all my brewing supplies from here as the selection of products is top notch, the owner, his wife, and the few guys who work there are just awesome, and they're always excited to help. I'm new to home brewing and have only done my first batch this year. I have only been to a few home brew shops also, but I'm not new to customer service or human relations. I have to say that the owner of this store has been unpleasant each of the three or four times I've been here. He answers simple questions with a smug look on his face and snarky tone of voice. I would think he would be interested in helping out new brewers in order to ensure future business but that doesn't seem to be the case. Prices for many items at a shop like this are probably always going to be higher than you can find online so people come here for the interaction with knowledgeable staff, a (hopefully) nice personal shopping experience, and to support a local business. He has done nothing to encourage me to spend my money here in the future. That said, I see a few positive reviews so he must know how to treat at least some customers and I hope he doesn't treat future newbies the way he has treated me. read more
