One of them is pretty large and keeps the older kids busy (though my toddler loves to try to keep up). Bunch of climbing options, various slides, swings, and monkey bars. Down the path, you'll find a smaller play-set more suitable for the young kiddos, along with a cute home-made style jeep, merry-go-round, and even more swings. The creek here runs through park and there are plenty of paths to explore. You'll also find people picnicking, or just hanging out to read on a shady bench. It is a perfect place to hang out with friends due to it being in the middle of a neighborhood and the recessed center makes it private. You can purchase parking when you arrive by scanning a QR code. It was really easy and made parking a breeze. There were some people tailgating which made me happy but not to the extent that we do it at home. It was a short walk to the stadium from there. Entry was painless and the staff were super friendly and ready to help with directions. The interior was well kept with multiple levels and so many different things to see. Everyone we encountered from staff to fans were friendly and super chill. The stadium is nice and was my first covered experience. They do open it weather permitting. We went on a rainy day so it was nice that it was covered. They had nice big screens, the seats were relatively comfortable, and they have fun engaging the fans. I wanted to go down the slide but that's only for the mascot. It would be fun though. They also have a little playground type areas for the kiddos. Food and beverages were reasonable priced. Cocktails and premium beer running around $17. In KC it's about $20. I tried the Bobbler Cocktail that came in a cute little baseball glass. And holy brandy was it strong! No complaints from me. I also located the craft beer bar and had to sample a local brew. They had a lot of options and was definitely a good value for the money. They had lots of vendors but I liked that they also have a cafeteria style kiosk where you can grab your items and go to self check. The hot dogs and nachos are pretty standard for ballpark food. But I had to get a brat. I believe they serve johnsonville ones and it was delicious. Brats at ballparks should be a thing everywhere. And again, prices were at or below what I would have expected. They also have lots of merchandise and even an X-Golf inside. Pretty sure the golf place is what this review will appear under but the stadium itself doesn't pop up. Apologies. I was looking to take my kiddo out before we headed into Sam's Club, and this park was nearby and seemed like a good stop. It was indeed! The playground is an all for one design, with no separate little kids side or big kids side, which is just fine. Variety is the key with this setup. For slides, there is one big enclosed twirl slide (my two year old loved this one), one three person slide, and a two person slide. For climbing into the playground, you can walk up the back of a crocodile, tackle the climbing wall, or take the variety of ladders, including one that goes into the middle of the roost. As well, there are two swings. One for toddlers, one for big kids. It's nothing crazy, it's not brand new, but it is well designed and maintained. Trees line the playground and basketball court, so there is plenty of shade. Parking is just on the street, no parking lot here. As well, the bathrooms are on the opposite end of the park from the playground, instead of centrally located. Other than that, the park is great for your traditional neighborhood park. There's a nice baseball field, reasonably clean restrooms, a nice balance of open meadow - cut grass and light forest. It's a long curving park with ample parking, lots of dogs with their humans visit here but I've never stepped in any irresponsibility so that says something about the people who frequent this park. Mosquitoes were a little aggressive but what are you going to do, a creek runs through the middle.

Such a fun night at the DockHounds!…read more The Lake Country DockHounds are in Oconomowoc and are part of the American Association of Professional Baseball. It's just a fun, more laid-back baseball experience and feels warmer and way more reasonable for families than going to a major league game. Parking was only $5 and not far to walk at all. We were in the club seats, which were supplier sponsored for us, and they were sweet! Honestly, I don't think there's a bad seat in the house and the regular tickets are priced very reasonably. The buffet was really good -- chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and yummy mashed potatoes. Got a hat, watched some good baseball and of course had to cheer on the Leinenkugel's and Miller Lite can race Miller Lite won, which meant $4 beers for the rest of the game! The DockHounds didn't get the win, but we still had a great time and finished the night with some really nice fireworks. Good food, good beer, fun atmosphere and just a really fun night out. Definitely recommend checking out a DockHounds game!

There are chairs with counter tops, your own bar with bartender, and servers to take food orders from the nearby taco stand. There are plenty of food options at the Wisconsin Brewing Company stadium, and a kids area with basketball court and bounce houses. After the game, the kids can run around the diamond (it's a version of artificial turf, so no dirt in the kids), and the players sign autographs. Three pitchers were signed to major league team systems this year, so far! There are also multiple seating and group outing options, starting at just $10. I enjoyed a smoked brisket sandwich and loaded tater tots with cheese sauce, pulled pork, BBQ sauce and scallions. In the 6th inning they run a $1 popcorn promo for the inning, and they also have a 50/50 raffle and beer can race (like the sausage race). This is another great option for affordable family-friendly fun! I will be back, and I recommend this experience!
