He started with roll call when we got on the bus and got to know a bit about each person. We rode the bus for about 2 hours learning about Durham. As a Durham transplant, I actually learned more than I thought I would. When the windows are down, it's a bit cold so make sure to bring a jacket! They ended up putting up the windows after our break and it was warm and cozy inside! Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the Bull City Laughs and I'd recommend to my friends.

The proceeds of the bike tour go to Water for Good, a non-profit that installs well water pumps in remote African communities to provide water for those in need. What better than a bike brew tour in Raleigh for a good cause?! There were tiered levels of support- $20 got you a bracelet & 1 free beer ticket, $50 got you a bracelet + beer stein + 3 beer tickets, and $150 got a hat + beer stein + 3 beer tickets. MudLove provided the awesome handmade beer steins. There were 4 different routes (two 18-milers, one 6.8-miler, and one 1.6-miler), and all started at Crank Arm and ended at the Natty Greene after-party. A *huge* thanks to Yelp for supporting this awesome initiative! Sara, Cassie, and I formed the Yelp team as we rode the 6-mile route from Crank Arm - Raleigh Brewing - Trophy - Natty Greene's. There were ~100 people on our route, and the volunteers did a fantastic job of leading the way & stopping traffic for us bikers to cross main roads. In summary, this was a fantastic way to support local craft brewers, Water for Good, and MudLove. I'm a huge fan & plan to do it again next year!

I lucked out and found a parking spot at Tap Room. It is a small lot, so it may fill up quickly. There is another lot behind the building to the side or street parking is available. There was a street market, so it was harder to find. I did double-check that I could park at the bar when I checked in for the tour. Restrooms are available inside, and food and beverages can be brought on the trolley with a few exceptions. I liked this tour as we got a history lesson while the trolley was moving, and then we got to get off at different stops for a new perspective and not just looking out the windows. I still enjoyed looking out the windows and took some photos from there that weren't part of the tour. St. Agnes Hospital was our first stop. The stone hospital was rebuilt and opened in June 1909. It was during the Jim Crow Era for black citizens, as they were not allowed in white hospitals. We also stopped at the Heck-Andrews House. We learned of a secret tunnel and that there used to be a baseball stadium where a parking lot sits today. Devereaux Meadow was a minor league baseball stadium. I never knew a grand "Castle" (the original Meredith College) once stood near the Executive Mansion. It was a hotel and state office buildings at one point, too. It's wild that it's just a parking lot now! We got to see one of the trolley stops of the Glenwood line. It took people to Bloomsbury Park. It had electric lights at the trolley park. There was even a roller coaster, carousel, and a dance pavilion. Heather was an amazing tour guide and shared her knowledge and love of the city with us. This was quite the experience! Perfect for birthdays, bachelorettes, and other events, this trolley…read morewas such a fun time. We had a total of 14 people. Some of the seats have pedals and some don't so you can take turns throughout the night. Pedaling was not too hard if you're worried! You also make ~2 stops for ~20-30 minutes each so you definitely get good breaks. We went at 9:15pm in November so it was a little chilly, but the trolley had a plastic cover for the trolley to block the wind and a small heater - I recommend bringing layers! They have a cooler on board and have overhead storage for bags/purses/jackets. Dylan was our driver and an amazing host! Some members of our party were running a few minutes behind and he was more than willing to accommodate and wait to start. Would recommend to any group of friends looking to try something different on a day/night out!

No response of course. So I called Sam holder the next day to voice my opinion about the issue, instead he became angry and threatened me that he is going to get his lawyer. So he goes to say you had to pick out the bus on instagram he never told me that I had to go on social media to book a bus.

I've tried Krupnikas, the originally liquor produced by The Brothers Vilgalys Spirits, several…read moretimes, and know that I'm a fan. If you imagine drinking a really spice forward honey but with liquid consistency, that is exactly what Krupnikas reminds me of. It's a traditional Lithuanian style of Spice Honey Liqueur that began production in NC back in 2012. Every time I've tried their product, the owners/partners have been extremely friendly and able to tell me where to buy it and how to mix it (if you don't want to drink it straight). We visited the 'distillery' last night for the first time during their Kickstarter promotion tour, and I have to admit, it was fun, but it was much different than I expected. First off, while the location produces liquors, they don't actual distill them there. They receive their 100 proof grain alcohol in mass and add their spices to it, reducing it down to an 80 proof liquor. The product is really good, but very unique. It runs about $30/750 mL bottle, and while I enjoy it, I don't think I would drink it often enough to purchase a huge bottle since it is such a distinct, sweet, flavor. HOWEVER, coming into the winter season, I DO think Krupnikas would be great in a hot form, throw a little of that in an apple cider for a big kick! BUT, The Brothers Vilgalys Spirits isn't JUST producing Krupnikas anymore. Since July they released four new liqueurs called Zaphod (starfruit, guava, mint), Beebop (rubarb, hibiscus, all spice), Beatnik (beets, orange, thyme, rosemary) and Jabberwock (spicy coffee). All four are 60 proof, sweetened with raw cane sugar, and flavored with whole botanicals, herbs, and spices. They are very unique, and I can honestly say I've never tried something quite like them. Although the liquors are very unique, I can't say I'd drink them often. They all remind me of alcoholic teas, funny enough, with the Beebob being my favorite and the most versatile in my opinion. They are all incredibly flavor forward, but you'd really have to think about how to mix them pre-cocktail. The actual space of the 'distillery' is pretty, uh... well, it needs some help. It's awesome that you can now FILL your own bottles there (as of October 1st and the new NC laws) but the space is pretty disorganized. They are in the process of opening the warehouse next door as a tasting room, and I think once that is complete, The Brothers Vilgalys Spirits will become more of a destination and not a quick stop through. I look forward to re-visiting them once the tasting room is open!
