Registration was simple as always. Filling out the waiver electronically was easy and convenient. Our tour guide Lisa spoke loud enough for the entire group, was very enthusiastic and made sure we were all safe! Excellent tour!

We recently took the Brewing & Distilling Tasting Tour and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our tour guide (I don't recall his name) is a history major, so was very knowledgable about Cincinnati history, not limited to just brewing & distilling. It was a cold day with a little rain, so this particular tour was nice since it's mostly indoors. We started at Northern Row for a little tour of their distillery and then some spirits tasting. I appreciate that our tour guide offered a beer instead of the spirits for those of us who preferred that. We then got to go in the historic lagering tunnels before finishing our tour behind the scenes at Rhinegeist. The tour concluded with a flight of Rhinegeist beers. At over 2.5 hours, I felt like the tour was too long, but I imagine those really interested in brewing and/or history would think the length was fine.

Lisa is amazing and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves beer and a little bit of history!

Lisa did great! Very impressed with her knowledge. The tunnel was the coolest part but it was chilly

Had a wonderful tour on a Sunday afternoon with Canan as our tour guide ! Very informative and interesting. Walked a bit, in the rain, but it was worth it. Ended tour with a pint at the OTR Stillhouse. Can't wait to try one of the other tours !

End of the Dark Side of Brewing Tour with our guide, Lisa. Loved it!

Our friends group was interested in a brewery tour in Cincinnati. We booked the Dark Side of Brewing with Lisa. Lisa was extremely knowledgeable and paced our tour with interesting Cincinnati history including tales of grave robbing, serial killing, and other dark events. We were a full tour and I was able to hear and enjoy every bit of it. Our tour lasted close to 2 hours and we were able to see the underground cellar and historic theater. Highly recommended!

Lisa does a great and informative tour for the "Built on Beer" tour. Even if you have been to Cincy before, worth the tour.

Never would I have guess we would be going on such an interesting tour and having a wonderful meal after the tour in this area. So good to see this progress. Our tour guide was Laura and while she gave useful historical facts she definitely left us with less than a hospitable feeling and that it was a bit of a drag to be giving the same tour over and over. Maybe this is the norm or maybe she was having an off day but if you are busking for tips at the tour it is a good idea to pretend to enjoy your job. Still glad we did the tour and it left us wanting for even more information on the OTR area.

I adore hearing the old stories about the cities I visit and this one, is one of the better tours I've been on. Linda clearly LOVES leading the tours, She knows what she's talking about and no question threw her. She had a great sense of humor and even let us know about other tours for later in the evening. I will take the other tours that you have in the future when I visit for longer times. These are great!

As #5 on the 2014 Yelp Cincy's Summer Bucket List - Taking a Craft Connection Brewery Tour could…read morethese amazing Yelp events get any better in Cincinnati? I love Cincinnati and our Craft Beer Scene so having the opportunity to take a tour bus to four of Cincinnati's finest craft breweries in style with 14 fellow Yelper's on a Saturday afternoon I'm all in and ready to enjoy! Ben our driver started the company with his sister and brother in law after taking similar tours in Chicago and Denver. The tours begin at Halfcut in OTR, Dan greets the group inside and welcomes you on to the bus where you find your wristband and cup. Our first stop was Rhinegeist, who just celebrated their one year anniversary in June and are growing like crazy, we were told they now have 35 employees on our tour of the brewery. When we arrived there was a table reserved for our group and 3 pitchers of their beer ready for us to try - Truth, their IPA; Cougar, Blonde Ale; Fiction, Belgian Extra Pale ale, which I felt was the best of the 3. Our second stop was Listermann's right on the Cincinnati/Norwood border, Listermann's started as the place in Cincinnati for home brewing - they have classes, all of the supplies you need for your home brew and in 2007 started their own brewery Triple Digit Brewing company, known for Chickow and Listermann brews smaller batches of their own beer available right in the tasting room. They have a very refreshing hefeweizen on tap right now made with Beets, great on a warm summer day. They were in the middle of brewing some beer while we were there, so the brewery was hot. Our third stop on the tour was MadTree, which was the busiest of the four breweries we visited. We had Psychopathy, their IPA (one of the best around in my opinion), Lift, their Kolsch and a special Peach beer Tiamat. The fourth stop on the tour was 50 West Brewing company, we had Wire to Wire Wheat, which they made for the Cincinnati Reds, Coffee Please Stout (wow lots of coffee) and Tripa, a Belgian Triple - my fave of the 3 Then we returned back to OTR and Halfcut, with your wristband you can have $2 off pint at Half cut Note they have coolers on the bus if you want to purchase a growler during one of the stops and bring it back with you on your journey home. The four hours flew by and the bus is just the right size 14 seats total if you want to get a group of friends, co-workers together, its $55 per person including the beer & they had some snacks & water on the bus. Great value and you're able to visit and try a wide variety of Cincinnati's Craft Breweries on the Craft Connection Tour!

We met and ended at Halfcut, it was my first time there and I'm so glad I got to try it out! The breweries we visited were a mix of favorites I had been to and ones that were new to me. They have all only been around for a few years- in fact 50 West, Madtree, and Rhinegeist all are less than two years old! What am awesome testament to the brewery explosion in Cincinnati. Rhinegeist is a fav of mine. I love their space and every beer from them that I've tried. They are a huge example of an entrepreneurial spirit and was a perfect first spot! Next we went to Listermann's. I wasn't very familiar with their beer but our driver Ben told us that they have a reputation for basically brewing whatever they want. This was true as we heard about beer aging in Pappy Van Winkle barrels, tried a peanut butter porter and even a beet beer! I was really impressed with their hospitality- the owner's son was the one showing us behind the scenes. Madtree was the next stop. I don't usually like their beer but I actually found one I like! We wrapped up the tour at 50 West, an old favorite. A great thing about these breweries is that they all have public tap rooms, so anyone can go try their beer. A great thing about being on the tour was that at every location, we had a reserved table with pitchers of beer already set out for us. Often we got to bypass a line for beer, and we always had the option to go behind the scenes for a tour. It was a great afternoon! Thanks Cindy for giving us the opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at one of the best things about Cincinnati!
