Since the shoot involved body paint it obviously had to be someone she was comfortable working with as many of those were fabric free. We met with Kat for a consultation and spent sever hours working on the details for the shoot. Time well spent in the quality of the final product. On shoot day we scheduled the entire day. Kat coordinated with a hair & makeup artist and a body paint artist - we were pleased with both. Kat's assistant also helped with the various housekeeping duties involved with staging and a half dozen wardrobe changes. Our shoot was smooth and well put together, her entire operation was coordinated and adapted to delays as necessary thru the day. Working with her for edits which required multiple iterations she was patient and very accomodating. Great quality takes time folks, it cannot be rushed so keep that in mind and factor into your photo projects. When quality and fantastic customer service is required this studio is the place to go.

I spent $120 on Groupon for her services that never stated in the fine print that she would require and additional purchase with a min price of $600 with her Groupon ! Groupon refuses to give my money back so I now have a credit. 2. I feel a three star review now accurate assessment of the conversation and time she took explaining to me that she prefers to work with clients that can afford and are willing to spend and "invest" a significant amount of time and money! I explained I did not use her services as she described her services to not be a "good fit" for what I wanted. That is her right and I appreciate that thank you ! But I still feel you are worthy of an honest review which is three stars . Please don't ask me to change my view point ! Please don't harass me about my review ! I feel I was honest and accurate ! She was so careful with our new baby (first) and we felt beyond comfortable with her working with him in her studio. We came back again for a mini-session for Mother's Day which was so special and a priceless chance to catch those photos you want, but never seem to be able to get yourself. As a Mom, I find I have tons of snaps of my son with everyone else, but none of just the two of us. It was great to have that chance to get those action snapshots and we look forward to doing more mini-sessions with Heather over the years. We recently also did my son's One Year pictures and Cake Smash. She provided great information ahead of time so we knew exactly how to prepare before the shoot and what to expect. Mariemil suggested we use the Cal State Long Beach Japanese Gardens as the backdrop for our family. Very nice. The location was free from crowds and had a number of beautiful settings including koi ponds, wooden bridges, walkways, foliage, etc. She suggested a number of different set-ups throughout the one hour sitting and we ended up with about 100 different photos. WAY more than we had expected. I absolutely LOVE what Mariemil and Paolo are doing. They are creating ART!! Highly recommend.
