Above and beyond. That would sum up the photography services provided to us by Maolo Photography on our destination wedding. They captured every detail and every moment of that gorgeous day. As a bride, there's so many things running in my head and at the end of the day, I was thinking - I should have had them take this or take that. The day just went by fast! So to my surprise, when I got the digital files (two months was quick!), I found everything I was hoping to see and more! They did a marvelous job - our family and friends couldn't stop raving about our photos - thanks to Mariemil and Paolo. In the interest of full disclosure, I do know them prior to hiring them. But in the wedding world were choices abound, we made sure to do our research, particularly in Maui where the wedding was held. After working with them for our engagement shoot, we knew we didn't have to search further. The engagement photos are quite iconic, and thankfully they took on the destination wedding job because they captured so many beautiful memories. We had Mariemil photograph our yearly family portrait and the pictures came out fantastic,. We were more than pleased. Mariemil suggested we use the Cal State Long Beach Japanese Gardens as the backdrop for our family. Very nice. The location was free from crowds and had a number of beautiful settings including koi ponds, wooden bridges, walkways, foliage, etc. She suggested a number of different set-ups throughout the one hour sitting and we ended up with about 100 different photos. Maolo Photography gets 5 stars from me! Mariemil had photographed my family in November 2011 at the Walt Disney Concert Center. We had so much fun with her. I'm not very photogenic and feel very awkward in front of a camera but nonetheless she did a wonderful job at easing my fear of being in front of a camera! My daughter had a blast with her as well. We moved to Sugar Land this summer and were looking for a professional photographer for family pictures. Mariemel was awesome to work with! We loved the pictures and used some for our Holiday Card this year. She was very personable and great to work with. She was very responsive to emails and texts, she consulted with my wife on the types of colors to wear that worked well in the picture setting, and she was extremely patient with our three kids. The website to download pictures on was really convenient, and Mariemel offers the photos on a CD as well. Mariemil is an amazing and talented photographer! By chance we found Mariemil and had her photograph us for our family session. We just had our 3rd baby at the time and we were truly impressed with her photos. She is amazing to work with and very patient with our 3 young kids. We have used Mariemil for our family portraits the last 4 years and it has become our family tradition to do a family session with her every year.
