We had a floating rate. Please stay away from anything like that. When the rates were low and we wanted to lock in our lender asked for additional information to lock in based on my credit score. The information was never requested and rates jumped up. We're now stuck signing at a rate .5% higher and have to still pay 5.2k out of pocket to get that rate. They screw with peoples lives. We tried to pull out of the deal since the home isn't worth what they sold it for. In this economy every dollar matters and they just don't care. If we had anything extra after the move, I would be taking legal action for what they've dragged us through over the past 9 months. We also filed a better business bureau complaint. They dragged out responding so they will not be addressing our concerns until after closing.

They are in serious trouble because of their illegal and predatory practices. They will not take no for an answer and keep pushing and pushing. They lie about everything and do anything they can to re-start the clock of your home loan debt. I really advise anyone to never deal with this company. They will tell you all sorts of nonsense about how its such a great idea to refi when the fact is it is not. They are only pushing you to refi so they can make money and get a commission. I just got a call from this company that spoofed a local telephone number 760-527-4260…read more The call center agent "Michael" announced that he was from the "FHA testing dept" and wanted to talk about our loan. Obviously the FHA doesn't call people up to take random surveys so I knew this was BS. I finally got him to tell me the name of the company he works for. Looking it up, it's owned by Lending Tree. I talked to a lending specialist Morgan and mentioned that the call center agent totally misrepresented the call and she said she'd talk to his mgr. I would never do business with a company that misrepresents itself.

My loan agent was able to keep the same Motgage rate but change from 15 year term to 30-year term.
