Brian is a top-notch realtor. I'm so glad we made a call to him. As is the case with many homebuyers in Prescott, my wife and I are from out of state. We were wondering how that would work in a market where homes were selling within days, if not hours, of being listed. Brian acted as our eyes, ears, and boots-on-the-ground in Prescott. We could call him any time and he would arrange to do a video walk through. I really appreciated his commentary on layouts and design features; as a realtor, he would point out features and drawbacks with an eye for resale, which is something the typical homebuyer doesn't always consider, but which is very important when you consider a home as an investment. We never felt pressured, even when he could have just said "OK, let's write up an offer," he instead gave his honest opinions and made sure we saw all the angles so we could make an educated opinion. He has great insight into the neighborhoods and builders in the area, and isn't afraid to point out when other realtors are playing games to get higher offers. I know it sounds like a cliché, but Brian seems more interested in making a long-term customer than in making a quick sale. Ultimately, given the market conditions and our time frame, we decided to purchase a lot and build a custom home. How to find a realtor when you need one ASAP was at the top of my To Do list. Of course we wanted the best realtor in the Prescott Valley and Prescott area--enter Brian and Terri Monksfield of Flex Realty. My husband and I traveled from CA to AZ to meet with a real estate team and they flaked on us. I should have used Yelp, but better late than never. I found Brian and Terri Monksfield who turned out to be the best realtors in the Prescott Valley area. No, I'd say they're the best relocation realtors that Yelp has to offer. Who am I kidding; they're the best realtors ever! I called and long story short we met with Terri within a couple of hours. We were hoping to find our retirement home in Prescott or Prescott Valley. If we didn't we were willing to check out the surrounding area of Dewey, Chino Valley, or Humboldt. We brought a list of homes we found on Zillow. We asked about short sale houses and foreclosures. Terri checked the MLS for newly listed properties and the availability of the Zillow homes. Terri took us to 10 homes the first day and 11 houses on the second day. Our homesearch concluded with a return visit to two Prescott Valley homes and we were in a contract within an hour of our offer. After returning to CA Terri was still readily available to me by phone and email. She was quick to respond and kept everything running smoothing and on track. Brian and Terri are the best! We searched for a home for over a year and the entire time and through several failed offers and deals falling out of escrow Brian and Terri were there to help. Whether it be advice, professional services or even a favor, all I had to do was ask. They were always ready with the next house and a positive attitude. Once we finally got a contact that would follow through escrow, Brian was even more stellar. Everything that needed to be done was done way in advance and I never had to question anything about the process because Brian had already emailed or texted what needed to be done and how best to get it done quickly. Brian and Terri know everyone in the industry so any problem is easily fixed. Need a good lender, an inspector who works cheap, a painter, a plumber? No problem. Brian's guys are ready and willing to help fast and cheap. It's quality work as well. When we finally got ready to move in, Brian wasn't happy with the condition of the place. He called his carpet cleaner and even paid for the service because he didn't want our new house to look like that. (I offered to pay-really- he refused!) Talk about service, they always called back or even texted within a few minutes. Weekends? Evenings? Holidays? It's all about YOU the customer with them and they work for you not the other way around like some realtors. We probably looked at 60 houses and Brian was early 60 times. We recently moved to Prescott from Phoenix. While initially looking at houses (before we were serious enough to need a realtor), we were interested in one of Brian's listings and gave him a call to look at the home. While that wasn't the right place for us, Brian made a great first impression and we called him when we began looking in earnest. Brian listened to our random (and sometimes conflicting) wishes in a house and met with us on at least 1/2 dozen occasions to look at houses. He provided great advice on pricing and placing offers. We placed unsuccessful offers on two houses before hitting paydirt with our third. Brian held our hands through the buying process (this was our second home purchase). When some issues came up during the inspection, Brian worked with the listing agent to get them remedied and even showed up and helped us unpack our moving truck!
