Fence got installed in January and quickly started having problem. He came out 4 times to fix and…read moreits still not fixed. All the post were not cemented I correctly so fence is very wobbly. Panels are falling apart/off the fence. He used to short of nails and refused to fix it correctly. The gates he built all sagged to badly they wouldn't latch. The post gates are attached to not cemented in fully so they all started leaning from the weight. I've contacted many times and was blown off. After asking him to come back and fix properly I've given up and fixed everything on my own.

John & his amazingly talented team of climbers, cutters, trimmers and equipment operators are absolutely 2nd to NONE! I had a massive, 70' Oak tree in a landscaping bed, surrounded by a retaining wall & concrete patios, on a hill, lakeside in Somonauk, IL in the Lake Holiday subdivision. I called three different tree services who told me it was too complicated and dangerous and couldn't (and / or wouldn't) do it. Then I found John on Angie's List. Only TWO companies came up as options and after speaking with John, my search was over. He assured me that no job is too small or too big for them to do. The timing was right and they had my tree down safely, literally two days later. It took five guys and nearly two days to get this tree down. At first the $12K price tag seemed ridiculous until I saw what they all did and what was involved. This was a dangerous and very complicated job and absolutely fascinating to watch. The guys were in constant communication with each other and completed the job quickly and safely. Each and every branch was 'tethered', "caught" once cut, and then slowly lowered to the ground, picked up and taken away so as to disturb as little of my landscaping as possible. WOW! John (the owner) was very personable, accommodating & clear when explaining everything. He even had the guys cut up the nicer pieces of wood for my firepit and offered to load it into our neighbor's trailer for him to take away for himself. When they were finished, they cleaned everything up including an area of our neighbor's yard that had blown debris in it. How's THAT for customer service "above and beyond the call"...! WOW! The company name implies it's just a gutter business but check out my photos and you'll see the real talent lies in their tree service. They don't even have the right saws for the job, they will ask for more money try and double charge on things, they have no clue how to build a porch/deck. Nothing was straight or level he doesn't listen to customer he does what he wants to do like he would constantly say to his employers do it this way I'm making this job easy on us. He admitted to using old used wood that he had sitting around his shop. The balcony was already cracking and starting to fall within couple months. I have had his porch torn down deemed unsafe and not up to code from multiple other companies. BUYERS BE AWARE this is your hard earned money hire a different company if you want good results and quality work cause a&k does not provide quality very poor.

I was updating my mom's rental property and needed so many different things done. Kerry and his crew were able to accomplish all of them in a very short time period (always ahead of schedule) and for a very reasonable price. Some of the things Kerry fixed include: garage siding and garage windows, garage door opener, installing new overhead lights and fixing an overhead light from the 1980s, installing a new exterior door, removing an old privacy fence by the patio and installing a new one, and installing a new door bell. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things as well. Kerry and Karen were true life savers last summer. I'm so glad I hired them. PS- they also have a cute dog that is in the office sometimes.
