He got new ones which were covered by insurance - although they were $300. By the end of his basketball season there were holes in the foam portions of the orthotics. I just returned from the visit where got new ones. It was a disaster! First, we waited a half hour. Then I began questioning why the new refurbish orthotics cost $150- when only the foam part was replaced. Well...Replogle became annoyed, exhaled, sat back, told me he was the doctor, and that the orthotics company is HIS company! He was cocky and rude. It was as if I broke the rules by daring to question him. (I should rip up the $150- check!) As my son and I left, we told both doctors, the receptionist, and the remaining patients that we will no longer be going to this place because of the unpleasant experience. I need to find another podiatrist - one who is willing to explain things to his patients, not gouge prices, one who doesn't own the orthotics company, and someone who does not ramble on and on about feet. I feel badly for Dr. Dittmar because we do like him. Maybe Dittmar should strike out on his own and leave Replogle!

At 5:15pm I inquired form the receptionist as to when I would be seen as my appt was at 4:30pm. She very nonchalantly stated , "well, you're the last appointment." I again said my appt was at 4:30pm. No answer from her. I was not given a time frame as to when I would be taken. So I explained I would be leaving and again she stated "okay" I walked out. I worked in the medical field as an RN for years. If a doctor was delayed we would let the patients know and ask if they wanted to wait or reschedule. It was the patient option. This was a very poor first impression for a new patient. So while I understand Dr. Taormino is very good I will not return. Front desk staff actions and impressions are very important.
