I have previously had…read morereconstructive foot surgery on both feet for bunions and hammertoes (not through this practice). I was seen by Dr Jenna Friedman, a recent addition to the practice. Dr Friedman spent considerable time working on the toenails on each foot. She explained everything that she was doing and continually checked in with me to make sure that I was doing alright. Although my feet were sore when I left the office, I woke up the next morning pain free. I had my follow up appointment with Dr Friedman today and she was again attentive to all of my questions and thoroughly examined my feet for evidence of the ingrown toenails (there was none). We discussed what I could do to prevent reoccurrence of the problem. Dr Friedman offered specific suggestions including the type of footwear I should wear and fitting me for new custom orthotics for my feet (my current orthotics are a year old and ready to be replaced). Dr Friedman is professional, patient, caring and skilled at treating her patients. The office staff on both visits were welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about insurance coverage. I found Sayville Foot Care by searching reviews online. The reviews consistently spoke to the caring, quality care provided at this practice. They were absolutely right. I had a scheduled 4:30pm appointment as a new patient. I arrived on time, signed forms. There was…read moreone patient in a treatment room. No patients in the waiting room besides myself. At 5:15pm I inquired form the receptionist as to when I would be seen as my appt was at 4:30pm. She very nonchalantly stated , "well, you're the last appointment." I again said my appt was at 4:30pm. No answer from her. I was not given a time frame as to when I would be taken. So I explained I would be leaving and again she stated "okay" I walked out. I worked in the medical field as an RN for years. If a doctor was delayed we would let the patients know and ask if they wanted to wait or reschedule. It was the patient option. This was a very poor first impression for a new patient. So while I understand Dr. Taormino is very good I will not return. Front desk staff actions and impressions are very important.
