God forbid you come to this man with a worker's comp case…read more I told him in my initial interview that I came to him because I needed advice and guidance in handling a vicious corporation hell-bent on pretending that my injury did not exist and ignoring doctor-imposed work restrictions. At first, I felt confident that my case would be handled well. Now, it has been a year since I was able to see a doctor for my injury, which has complicated the matter almost as greatly as having to move out-of-state did. My calls are ignored and I have not been informed of any activity with my case in over a year. It has been like pulling teeth to get help finding a doctor who will see me (which never happened, by the way). It seems to me that we have a pretty decent case since my employer violated state & federal law by trying to make me sign a contract promising to forfeit my second job or face termination. And Mr. Baum agrees, yet nothing has been done. Let's not even get started about leaving me to deal with the insurance company... that's why I went to a lawyer! I came to this man for help and he hung me out to dry. The biggest problem now is that I can't go to someone else because too much time is passed and because he signed a contract to handle my case. Ultimately, there was no treatment, no settlement, no court date, no final pronouncement, no review of my work status ... no outcome at all. A horrible experience that still has no closure after six years. I've even been contacted on this site by other people in the same situation with this guy. It would seem the only way to fix the trouble he causes is to never sign a contract with this jerk-off to begin with.
