Law Offices of Gary P Field - Unethical Attorney

Law Offices of Gary P Field

Everything I write here has been first hand experiences I've had with Mr. Field. When I met him, I…read morethought thank you God . I didn't know it at the time I was face to face with a wolf In Sheep's clothing . I blindly trusted him . My divorce took 12 years & almost $200,000 dollars later . If I have non believers in what I'm Saying please go to Schack vs Schack on court cases online . My ex husband and I owned 2 7-11 stores, we have 3 children and we had money . Well, I received a wonderful divorce agreement on paper. Mr. Field did nothing to get any of it enforced. So that piece of paper with all those great things I was supposed to get I could wipe my Azz with . It Means nothing, I got nothing . He would yell and show such disrespect telling me for 12 years that I was like "toilet paper on the bottom of his shoe". Coming after all the abuse from my ex husband, I thought I deserved it . After our divorce, there were people like the accountant, 7-11 franchise southland corporation that all needed to be held accountable claiming they sold my stores and that the judge awarded me half of each store . Only then to find that the stores were hidden in a friend's name to claim my ex-husband didn't own them. My ex owed the IRS lots of money from not paying taxes on his stores , claiming he sold it with zero proof of sale. So a sale of 2 7-11 stores would definitely alert the IRS . It would have satisfied his IRS debts . But it didn't .IRS did nothing leaving me to believe there was no sale . So, when I sold the house the judge awarded me 2 years later, all of my profits from the house went to the IRS and Mr. Field . I was told I had to pay my ex's taxes because when the taxes were owed he was in the home and his name was on the house at that time . The the judge ordered him to pay the taxes he owed solely . Even the IRS had given me innocent spousal relief. So how can this happen, legally anyway? They still took the sale of the house money and the house was just in my name then. Mr Field convincingly told me child support supersedes IRS owed taxes . So at a point I had to sell a house that was teeter tottering on foreclosure. Because my ex husband wouldn't pay his ordered child support or maintenance. The house was the only thing I was awarded in court that I physically had, besides custody of my kids . So close to the last court date my lawyer, Gary Field, went off to the side with my ex husband and his new lawyer. We got in front of the majestrate for the 20th time to try to enforce child support that was up to $200,000 . When I wouldn't free my ex husbands child support debt he had with me, Mr Field put in to recuse himself from my 12 year case (this happened after he spoke with them), unless I did what he said . So I did . He claimed he would go after this crooked sale of the stores according to the laws of the IRS if I gave him another $10,000 dollars . Again feeling hopeful & trustful, I did . He said we we can appeal going after the accountant and his friend who hid the stores in his name and his friend's lawyers who helped evade the law . Mr Field also insisted on being the lawyer on the closing sale of my house . He was attaching the amount of the judgment the judge ordered my ex to pay ($40,000) to him into my sale of my house . I tried to get a new lawyer for the closing , only to find out Gary Field wouldn't play nice with him . So before I lost everything, I agreed to use Gary Field just for the closing of my house & for me having no outstanding debts . He took another $29,000 dollars at closing . He was awarded lawyers fees in my divorce from my ex . Mr Field received close to $200,000 for my divorce that left me with nothing . Last I left off with him he said we can appeal, he said for another $10,000 he would right this wrong . So I borrowed more money for this divorce from my mom . I promised her with what Mr Field was saying I would pay her in full. I lost everything I owned...everything, life insurance, 401k, jewelry, furniture, trying to keep my three kids fed . My ex husband has passed now , but he left knowing he bought Mr. Field off . If there are any lawyers who would be interested in looking at his corruption, I'm sure others are out there , let's band together and hold Mr. Field accountable. Class actions lawsuits if need be. Mr Field, Money is the root to all evil . And you sure are pure evil and deceptive. I also have proof of him opening my ex-husband's mail to collect a check that was inside . I believe that's illegal. This was a check for $80,000. Mr Field, you left me with nothing . I wish him no ill . I do wish you, Mr Field, what you deserve . Any lawyers wanting to look into this, it is the NY Suffolk County court system, case titled Shack vs Schack .

Mr. Russell Morgan is a competent attorney. However, he depends too much on delegation. It is…read moreperfectly fine for an attorney to assign legal drafting to a competent paralegal so long as whatever product that unlicensed legal professional produces is CAREFULLY reviewed by a licensed attorney. Furthermore, while a paralegal can certainly assist in legal research, they should not be the ones doing legal counseling. When a client calls the office with a substantive legal question, someone licensed to practice law needs to answer that question. Attorney Morgan's prices for estate planning are high compared to other similar firms in NYC - they are not unreasonable but on the higher end. Regardless of what you are paying for legal services, you should expect competent representation, but when you are spending a premium, you expect to see the value. At the very least, you should not wait months for straightforward legal documents to be produced, nor should you have to constantly chase down the attorney to keep the ball rolling. And no matter how high-end or low-end a law firm is, you should never receive a final document littered with errors. However, that is precisely the experience Mr. Morgan provided. We received a deed document transfer that had the wrong name listed, the wrong LLC listed (one that was not associate with us at all), and the wrong buyer attorney listed. And no, it is not as if they sent the wrong documents because the information was correct in some places. The issue is that Mr. Morgan delegated the drafting of the document to someone who did an incredibly sloppy job, and Mr. Morgan failed to review the document before having us sign it. Worse was that there was very little accountability. Yes, he apologized when the situation was brought to his attention, but then he proceeded to make numerous excuses, one being that the company he uses to draft the documents doesn't usually make mistakes like that. Even if that is accurate, and this is a rare mistake, he still obviously did not review the documents before having us sign and notarize them. If this was a review for the final approval situation, fair enough, though even then, it's not a great practice to send your client documents that haven't been proofread. But again, this was a notarized document with several glaring errors - unacceptable. I am sorry, but there is never an excuse for an attorney to produce delayed and sloppy work. I. do not care how busy your firm is, part of being in this profession is knowing how to manage your case load. You either need to hire more attorneys or accept less cases, but what you cannot do is send out legal documents that have not been reviewed. This was not only an unpleasant experience. I dare say it was incompetent to the point where I am seriously considering contacting the Bar.

I spoke on phone with the lawyer and I'm in the process of hiring him . He's very articulate and…read moreknowledgeable.
