I came here with a friend and her bridal party, and was very impressed with this place! I have never gone dress shopping, and this place had a very impressive selection and treated us very well. The best part was the experience, and the customer service. Our girl, I believe her name was Sierra, did an excellent job helping us! She was very attentive, and helped us to 2 1/2 hour appointment with Grace. Our bride tried on 15 to 20 dresses out of the hundred plus they had on the racks. Everything was large enough to easily try, but small enough to clip and tighten so that you could see what it would look like after alterations. The variety was excellent, and our girl did a great job, pointing us in the direction of dresses that matched the brides taste. What seems to set this place apart is the large private room for the bride to get dressed with the attendant, which is incredibly helpful! This made it so quick to transition between dresses. Then the bride comes out onto a platform for her viewing party to see each gown, while there is a very large mirror, she can also look at. The attendant was incredibly helpful in moving the dress as the bride moved front to back for us. This viewing experience was perfect, and it helped that the store was not busy so there was no one using the platform with us (typically there is one platform for two rides, and wedding parties can sit on either side of the platform, so the brides take turns). This place also has a small selection of men's suits, and bridesmaids dresses. It is very all inclusive! The space is just perfect, plenty of room for a whole bridal party to walk around the store with the bride, select dresses, put them on a moving rack that goes into the room, and , hang out for several hours during the try on process. They have cups of water and restroom, which was also much appreciated. Overall, this experience was amazing, it is definitely pricier, there addresses range from 1800 to 2300 typically. But you get what you pay for! The experience in itself was so great to start off the wedding planning process. I highly recommend this dress in Omaha! read more

When I was looking for my wedding dress I stopped by here with my future mother in law. We were having a fun girls day out looking at dresses and since she has only boys, it was also her chance to grab every pretty pretty princess dress she could find and have me try it on, whether I would ever consider actually buying it or not. As I played wedding barbie for her, the sales attendant was phenomenal grabbing more and more dress options as my mother in law determined I need more lace, longer train, and the most dramatic veils they had to complete the look. I truly appreciated the friendly easy going nature of the lady helping us and how she managed to pull dresses to fit both the taste of my mother in law as well as my own. There were actually a couple of dresses that I loved, and while I didn't end up making my purchase here I think it had much more to do with timing than anything else. Their shop is lovely with a beautiful pedestal and mirrors for getting a view of the full look, their dress selection was excellent, and as mentioned they have fantastic sales associates. Wow. I don't even know where to begin. Let me just start by saying my experience was a HORRIBLE. I came in on my first ever day of dress shopping- but this was my second store of the day. I was on a high from all the excitement from the first bridal store I went to and I was so excited to try on more dresses. I came in with my mom, mother-in-law and best friend, and they can all attest to my experience. I am a mid-size / plus size girl so I shopped in the slightly larger sizes. Throughout my entire appointment my "stylist" made NUMEROUS negative comments about my size and figure. When my mom asked if I could try on a dress she snapped back and said "that wouldn't even fit me". She made comments about body when we were in the dressing room and in front of my guests. We left my appointment early because of how horribly she was treating me. Not only was she making numerous comments but the entire experience felt unprofessional. She didn't even try to help me into the dresses or use clips or extenders to see how the dress would fit. She would just send me out of the dressing room with an unzipped dress and my straps falling off of my shoulder. As a bridal stylist, the LEAST you could do was help your client see the potential of a dress by using clips and extenders. It's really frustrating and disappointing that this was my experience. When I left the store I cried because of how awful she treated me. This experience was supposed to be one of the greatest in my life, where I was supposed to feel nothing but beautiful. Instead, I left feeling empty, disgusted, and sad. To anyone who is not "skinny" I DO NOT recommend coming to this store. I love this bridal shop and all of the positive energy when you walk in the door. My daughter is getting married, so I was shopping for a Mother of the Bride Dress in a plus size. I was very nervous to go into the shop b/c I didn't think they would have anything to try on in my size! I was so excited that they did have dresses in my size available to try on. Kelly helped me find a dress that my daughter and I both fell in love with. She made me feel like I was a Queen for the day and gave me the options that the dress could be purchased in. This place was awful and full of bullshit lies. My bridesmaids ordered their dresses and it came back in such crappy quality and $300 for a bridesmaids dress is overpriced for something to be falling apart the first day we got them. Not only that two of the dresses came in TWO different colors and MATERIAL! We all went in at once to order the dresses so should have not happened We asked what they could do to get them back in time before the wedding and if they were able to give any sort of refund for all of their mistakes. We wait 4 months for the dresses to get back to the store and then they kept changing the date to when the new ones would come in store. We completely canceled the ordered since I didn't trust if it would be in time for wedding. The refund took tremendously long and had to go through a lot of people just to get it back. I went for my bridal appointment today (8/28). Melanie was my consultant. As a plus sized bride I was VERY nervous. I don't like trying regular clothes on most days... now a few wedding dress. Ooof so nervous. The store had so many options but really - the star of the show was Melanie. She was the most amazing help - she listened - and helped curate a dressing room that lead to me finding the perfect dress. There were dresses that clearly wouldn't get on my body and the professionalism was astounding. This is the place to go if you are looking to get married. I had a couple bad experiences at another location and was hesitant to keep looking but coming here was the best decision ever. The staff are all super nice and encouraging and really value you feeling comfortable and not pressured at all. I had Jo helping me and I can't say enough how absolutely amazing she is. I found the dress and she was such a help and so truly kind. If I ever come across anyone getting married I am for sure suggesting them here. When I first tried on the dress I actually went with I absolutely LOVED it! It was so stunning! However, I wasn't very fond of having a zipper and much rather had a corset instead. I was told that this was okay and that the designer can make the dress with a corset OR a zipper. I also wanted to add some extra boning to the bustier to accentuate my curves that I love so much! Then the dress came in and it had a zipper. I was very disappointed because I purposely ordered the dress a size smaller to accommodate having a corset instead of a zipper, as a designer myself, I knew that I would need it to be smaller to show off the silk privacy panel and prevent any bunching. I talked to a manager and they fixed that situation at no charge which was nice of them but when I came in after my dress was finished being altered it was a nightmare. The corset that was added looked very cheap and the boning was placed poorly which created a pooch in my lower abdomen...the pooch got worse if I sat down and got up. It made me appear as though I was pregnant!!!!! I addressed my concerns to the seamstress and she told me that it was all in my head, that I was just stressed out from the wedding, we are all our worst critics and that I looked beautiful. After she left the room my MOH's both told me they thought the same thing but didn't want to hurt my feelings...I mean what was I supposed to do anyways...I was leaving town in two days to get married and had absolutely no time to get this corrected.... it gets worse.... The day of the wedding is finally here and I didn't get any but one pic of my bridal party and I getting ready from the photographer because we are trying to figure out how to get my dress from bunching up in the front and the back. I was also 45 min late to my own wedding because of this so my husband and his bridal party got more photos than we got. Midway through the day my photographer informed me that my belt was hanging by a thread on one side so she had to take it off on the other side for me so I didn't look like an idiot. Did I mention it gets worse??? Yes, it definitely gets worse because one of my cousins who was a bridesmaid is a celebrity and posted a photo of me with her and her daughter on her Instagram in which people are asking me if I'm pregnant! I had to change my settings on my Instagram because I had people I didn't know telling me that they hoped I ordered a salad in a pic I posted of my husband and I eating, that they bet I ate all of the turkey legs at Disney World (that's where we got married) and asked me if I actually wanted to be a fat bride? There was a story on Starcasm, OK Magazine and a few others where I am publicly shamed for the poor work that was done with my wedding dress. Keep in mind that my cousin has 2 million followers on her Instagram so if only 50% of those people seen this pic that's still one million people!!!! Not counting the press publications! Talk about being publicly humiliated! I'm not even bragging about this, I'm embarrassed to say the least! I honestly could have done a better job altering my dress but what bride has time for that while planning her wedding? I hate the way my dress looks so bad that I now have to pay a photographer to re-take some of my photos so that I have some photos I can actually feel confident about. I obviously also have to re-pay for someone to alter my dress, do my hair and my makeup because I feel so awful about how my dress looked. I can't believe how upsetting this situation has become... after paying over $400 for them to alter my dress I have to pay to get it altered again on top of other expenses because of how bad it turned out. I honestly wish I would have read the reviews before going there. I only went there because a fellow designer I know worked there at that time... I've been in BT a few times for bridesmaids dresses and have had nothing but a great experience! There is a huge selection of dresses, shoes, jewelry, veils, and so much more! At first, it can be a little overwhelming from all of the different choices, but honestly - whoever complains about having "TOO MANY OPTIONS" should probably reevaluate their dress shopping decisions. Which brings me to my next point - the staff. If you are feeling overwhelmed, each member of the staff is extremely knowledgeable on their products they carry. I guarantee you that they will help you find exactly what you're looking for. The lady in charge of alterations is also more than willing to drop anything to check on how a dress is fitting and her recommendations for how she can alter it. Also, the owner is usually out on the floor checking in to make sure you're having a good experience and will also voice her recommendations as well. Honestly, how much better customer service can you get? They have a great selection of designers, great staff, great customer service and so much more. 10/10 best experience; I could not have asked for a better bridal team. Everyone was extremely helpful from the time the gals at the front desk checked me in, to the very end when I struggled to decide, and the owner herself came in to put my mind at ease and give her expert opinion. I never once felt rushed, which was a great feeling--because I know I 100% walked away with "the one". Sierra was my consultant. I can not find the words to describe exactly how wonderful she was! She had such a bright and bubbly attitude, and an ability to push me out of my comfort zone while always making sure I was was heard. Sierra was extremely professional, stayed true to what I wanted and asked for, and worked really hard to give me the best visual of the dresses I was trying on, even if they were multiple sizes too small. When I told the gals that I thought I had found the one with them, but that I had one more appointment to attend for the day, they were extremely understanding-- almost encouraging for me to attend the second appointment. It made me feel like they truly cared that I saw what was out there and made the right decision for me. Sierra told me, "you never want to have a what if", and she was so right. The second appointment at a different store (Ready Or Knot) was the exact opposite experience than I had at Bridal Traditions-- it was horrible. These ladies and their dedication to helping you find your dream dress, are truly second to none! I walked out of this store knowing I had just bought the dress of my dreams. I had a bridesmaid dress alterations appointment scheduled for today at 5pm. I received a call today at 12:30pm letting me know my appointment would be canceled because I didn't buy my dress at bridal traditions. Never was I asked when scheduling my appointment whether I bought my dress here. The only reason I scheduled my alterations appointment with them is because I bought my wedding gown (and all of my bridesmaid dresses and the tuxes) here about a year ago. It wasn't even that great of an experience, they ordered the wrong size tux for my dad. (But they did make that "right" and his tux was free). In the end I'm very glad I didn't buy my bridesmaid dress from them for this wedding. I got it much cheaper elsewhere, and it came in months ago. The other bridesmaids who did order from bridal traditions (the same day I ordered mine) won't be getting theirs until mid April. The wedding is in MAY. Glad mine came in time to make ANOTHER appointment. I've given them plenty of money, and they denied my business today. Completely WRONG to cancel a (returning, and I was sure to mention that) customer's appointment the day of. They do not respect their customers and I will be giving them no more money or referrals. I strongly do not recommend going to Bridal Traditions if you're looking for quality service. I walked into the store to order a bridesmaid dress, making it very clear which style number/color/size that I wanted and even let them know that my biggest fear was not having a dress in time for the wedding. When I called 2 months later to check on the status of the dress, they had all my information wrong and said there was no record of me coming in to order the dress. Even though I was without a dress 2 months away from the wedding date, they showed no remorse and were unwilling to provide any renumeration for my inconvenience and lack of service. read more

When I first walked into Bridal Traditions, Elizabeth took care of me. Unfortunately, she no longer works there but I can tell you she provided unbelievable help and knowledge about the entire store. She listened to everything I was saying about my likes and dislikes about each dress and continued bringing in dresses until we found "the one"! Ordering the dress was a smooth process. Once the dress came in, they recommended Susie, one of their contract alterations women, to assist in helping me design and alter my dress. She was more than willing to work with me, even though I was out of state, and made the process smooth and easy. It was clear she was an expert. Everything with my gown was a breeze! I had a very unique vision and Bridal Traditions helped make it reality. Unfortunately I also used Bridal Traditions for ordering my bridesmaid dresses and did not have as good of an experience. I wanted to post both reviews so that you could decide for yourself and have all the information. I had 4 bridesmaids and 3 of them were able to try on the sample dress in their store or at another store in their cities. No one had an issues with any of the samples, so we proceeded to order the Allure 1455 dress from here so we could get the slight discount. Once the dresses arrived, it was clear they weren't like the samples. The should straps were high, the armpit holes were choking up their arms, the dress was incredibly long and the measurements online, although technically accurate, were precise to a T! All of my girls, different shapes and sizes, experienced these issues. I've ordered at least 4 designer dresses for weddings, and I completely understand the need for slight alterations as they are not custom made. However, the alterations needed for this dress went well beyond the reasonable, expected amount. Because this was not a cheap dress to begin with and because most of my girls and I were able to try on the sample before ordering, I felt I had been wronged. Calling Allure itself is impossible so my only recourse was the store in which I purchased the dresses, Bridal Traditions. I spent around 30 minutes going around in a circle discussing how the dress wasn't their fault because they don't make it, I can't contact Allure because the store is the only one allowed to discuss matters with them and if the manager were to contact Allure, they would just tell her that alterations are typically needed as they are not custom made dresses. I feel as though the store is responsible for the error here. They carry a sample in the dress to help brides and bridesmaids decide on which dress will look and fit the best. The fact that 4/5 of us tried on the dress and had 0 issues while ordering told me their sample was misleading. The manager at the store was sympathetic to the situation but offered no resolutions. She simply continued to deny fault, push blame onto Allure, and tell me there was no one to contact about my complaint. I received the most wonderful care and treatment from them while ordering my bridal gown, it is really unfortunate that they didn't continue that same care for the bridesmaid dresses. I would, in the end, not recommend Bridal Traditions. Luckily my bridal dress sample was true and correct upon delivery, but, because of the situation that unfolded later with my bridesmaid gowns, I wouldn't trust the samples on the floor. It is their responsibility to keep and updated, true version of every dress they are trying to sell. After all, it's already hard enough trying to pick a gown with only 1 size available, let alone, the design itself being a fake. read more

I am totally kicking myself for waiting so long to visit Bridal Traditions! I have been a bridesmaid in several weddings and planned my own wedding, and had always gone to another large, chain bridal store in town for all my dresses (including my wedding dress). I had also always had consistently terrible experiences at the other store (crowded, mixing up orders, no attention from sales staff, etc.), and just assumed that was how shopping for bridesmaid/wedding dresses was (at least in Omaha). I knew there were other boutique bridal stores in town, but figured they would be significantly more expensive. I was wrong - at least about Bridal Traditions. I finally broke down and tried Bridal Traditions to find a bridesmaids dress for my SIL's wedding. I am 6 months pregnant and the wedding is 8 weeks after my baby is due, so I was at a total loss about what size dress to order. I tried visiting the other store first and it was a total disaster. The sales woman I spoke to was actually confused about why I wouldn't just buy my pre-pregnancy size, and offered me zero insight on choosing the correct dress style or size. A couple of the other bridesmaids were going to Bridal Traditions, so I agreed to tag along and resigned myself to having to pay a lot for my dress. We went on a Tuesday night and did not have an appointment, so I was shocked to see that, with the exception of a few other women, we were the only people in the store (I think part of this was the result of going in the middle of a bad storm on a weeknight). I was so used to fighting huge, horrific crowds of people at the other store that I almost didn't know what to do with myself. The store is very large, and has a nice structural division, so I imagine it is able to accommodate larger crowds too and still give everyone plenty of privacy. It is upscale, and they have a huge selection of wedding, bridesmaid, flower girl, and other formal dresses in a ton of styles and colors, as well as accessories (shoes, jewelry, veils, etc.). The best part is that many of their dresses (close to half) are comparable in price to the dresses at the other large chain store in town, while still being better quality! We were given a rack and free reign to pick out the dresses we wanted to try. Our group had plenty of dressing rooms so that we could all try on our dresses in the same area, at the same time, and still have relative privacy from the other groups in the store. The sales women were readily available to answer questions, offer advice, and help find dresses based on preferences, but I never felt like they were being pushy. I quickly found a dress I liked and was able to check out right away. A sales women took my measurements and took down a ton of information about my pregnancy, as well as consulting with the in-house seamstress, to make sure that the dress I ordered will fit no matter what size I am post partum (spoiler alert: my pre pregnancy size wasn't going to cut it). I was pretty stressed about having to get a formal dress in this situation, so having knowledgeable, professional guidance through the process (and not having to pay a fortune for it) was such a relief. They also give you the option to put down a deposit and pay the balance when the dress comes in, which is great if you want to be able to spread out the cost. I imagine (hope) my bridesmaid days are coming to a close, but if I happen to need a formal dress ever again, this will be my first stop. Considering that the prices are totally comparable, there is no justification for dealing with the crowds and inattentive service at a larger chain. read more

FYI DONT GO TO BRIDAL TRADITIONS!! I walked in the door and asked to try on a dress. I told the lady that the bride was from ND and I just needed to try the dress on. The lady helped me get the dress and brought me to the room. She then walked away and didn't come back. I had to walk out with the dress half zipped to find help. Someone grabbed her to come back. She came back and suggested I get measured because dresses get stretched. She said she was done for the day and would find someone else. That lady came to measure me and then said "and that is $15". I was NEVER told at any point there was a fee to be measured. Call me ignorant but I don't get married every day, I'm not in weddings every day, and I've never been to bridal traditions. I told her that I was never told that I had to pay the $15 before being measured and wouldn't have done it if I knew that. She went to get her manager who is apparently the owner and her manager was RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, UNACCOMMODATING, and UNPROFESSIONAL! My concern was that I would never have been measured if someone would have just told me there was a charge. I told her I drove 30 minutes to try this dress on. I asked her why she wouldn't accommodate her customer, as the owner, as it was a mis-communication between staff. NOT a miscommunication between staff and customer! She refused to accommodate me. She raised her voice and repeated herself saying it was "policy" to charge. I also repeated myself telling her that as a customer i would have liked to have been told about any charges before service. She said she can't give me the measurements because its policy to charge. I asked her why she wouldn't do something to help her customer when this is a company issue that her employee wasn't educated on the policy. She said this is the first time this has ever happened yet she STILL wouldn't accommodate the customer. I told her that I would be contacting someone above her to complain. She said "that's me". I said " well that is horrible customer service". I also made it very clear that word of mouth and social medial is the best for businesses and I would make SURE everyone I could tell would know I was treated extremely poorly tonight. I will NEVER EVER go back to BRIDAL TRADITIONS!!!!!!! Omaha is a big city! GO ELSEWHERE!!!! read more

Loved working with Bridal Traditions! I live in Texas and my wedding will be in Texas, but when I looked locally I could not find the dress I wanted to try on. I was visiting my fiance's family in Omaha and Bridal Traditions had the dress. They were very flexible, I did not need an appointment to try on the dress, I just walked right in and they pulled it for me. It was not like other bridal stores I had been to -- no one helped me into the dress or helped me adjust it with clips so it fit better (perhaps because I did not make an appointment with a consultant). When I decided to order they gave me a price and an expected delivery date right away and they even quoted me the price to ship the dress to Texas. I called to check on the status of my dress one time and had a hard time getting someone on the phone but they called me back the same day. They gave me the tracking number so I could check the status of my dress. It arrived in a new garment bag in perfect condition well before my wedding day. Thanks for all your help Bridal Traditions! I only went to try on one specific dress but the store is very large with lots of inventory well laid out. Being on a budget (wanted to stay under $1000) and walking in the store we thought we'd never find anything in our price range. Felt very upscale. We were wrong as there was a wide variety of dresses. There is a discontinued dress section in the back of the store that's worth checking out. Lots of gowns, shoes, jewelry... Our sales person was very helpful and not pushy. If she couldn't answer a question for us, she went and found out. Spacious try on rooms made the trying On part much more comfortable. Our shopping assistant told my daughter she could help her get into the dresses or just be available to help. It was the customers preference. There's a platform for dress viewing shared by each 2 fitting rooms. This felt like a much more private experience than David's Bridal where the viewing area can be seen from the front door. The layout of the store/fitting rooms lends itself to more privacy - we liked that. Veils and accessories were not pushed but brought if we expressed desire for additional items. Although we didn't purchase here we had a good shopping experience here and definitely recommend it as a place to consider for the whole bridal party. read more

I had an appointment here in April and I was unfortunately disappointed. When I first walked in, it was very fun and girly, but empty. My consultant was nice although I don't remember her name. As soon as I told the consultant my budget and size she told me to head back to the sales rack and disappeared. Basically saying "good luck" leaving me and my party to look for dresses. I had called previously and was told the prices started lower than what the consultant told me that day. I did find one dress I liked but it was one out of 3 that were my size and in my price range. I had an awesome experience at Bridal Traditions. I originally scheduled an appt for the weekend but later realized I'd be unable to makeit, so I went in on a weeknight and asked to look around right then instead. I worked with Sarah who was awesome. She showed me around both the full priced dresses and clearanced section, explained the pricing, and told me to grab her if I needed any help finding something. I found a couple dresses to try on and Sarah was more than willing to help with that. I came to the store alone so she literally stayed in the dressing room the entire time to assist me, this was greatly appreciated. I ended up finding the perfect dress for me which came from the clearance section. Sarah took as many pictures for me as I asked. Judy also came in to assist us in showing what alterations would be needed and also found the perfect veil to match the dress. I had previously visited a different dress shop and did not receive this level of attention, class, and just overall awesome experience. Never did I once feel like a "bride" while trying on dresses, until I came to Bridal Traditions. Both ladies were awesome and exceeded my expectations of just walking in the store just to see if something caught my eye. Great experience at Bridal traditions. I had previously gotten a bridesmaid dress there and received such great service I choose it is a place to shop for my own bridal gown. I was actually not looking forward to dress shopping- and when I arrived at the store I was completely overwhelmed. However- it ended up being a great experience, despite not making an appointment ahead of time I didn't have to wait too long, and the consultant I had was extremely patient and I ended up choosing the dress she had picked out for me (which I am very thankful for!!).
