I had an appointment scheduled for a regular check up and I didn't receive a confirmation so I…read moretried to call twice to change my appointment time because I had a medical emergency that morning and had to go elsewhere, now I understand it was within 24hrs of my actual appointment when I booked it but messaging me and telling me you're gonna charge me if I miss my appointment when you haven't even confirmed it is very frustrating and I booked it while the office was still open. I was able to change my time and still went in that day. The doc was very kind to the woman in the room next to me and he was informative to her. When he got to me one of the first things he said was along the lines of "you like to cancel appointments now don't you" and that caught me off guard because you have to put a lot of trust in someone who is using sharp instruments in your mouth. He claimed I wasn't flossing and that's why I was bleeding a lot, didn't apologize once while cutting into my gums, I do floss, daily. His demeanor was rude and cold towards me along side the fact that I had a trainee nurse (she did great but suctioned the bottom of my tongue on accident a couple times which caused me to jolt a bit) to which he responded as though it was my fault. I'm not going back. I don't feel safe or comfortable with this dentist office and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When I got home my gums were still bleeding and I had pieces of my gums that were literally cut into. It's been a few weeks but I thought I should put this out there. She could not walk, talk or open her eyes yet they sent us home. Her crown fell off and when mom made the appt to go have it replaced, she informed the staff that she was wearing invisalign and needed the same crown put back on. It is in the appt notes and the nurse reassured her when she got there. The Dr put it on backwards!! Now her invisalign will not fit and he said there was nothing he could do!! It will cost thousands to have her invisaligns redone. He put in his notes AFTER the appt that mom did not inform him of the invisalign. She has the appt notes stating otherwise!!! Either way, he put it on BACKWARDS!!!! Poor practice! Step up and take responsibility for your mistakes!

So, I went back to them for a reevaluation and they did not see anything and attempted to file my upper tooth down thinking that was the issue. The sharp pain persisted and I LOVE MY CRUNCHY FOODS, so I decided to take a day trip to my Austin dentist and they performed these tests to see if my teeth were misaligned and they took a look, but found nothing again. Unfortunately, the pain persisted, so I googled another provider and came upon Dr. Hassid. Him and his staff are so friendly, personable, and accommodating. Being that I had a recent XR with my dentist in Austin, he waived that fee for me as a new consult as well and just had my Austin dentist email my XR results over to his office so he can evaluate it - saved me tons of $$. He ended up fixing my filling and thanks to him, it's now pain free for me to consume my favorite food texture again.

The new patient/scheduling process is very smooth, as well. I simply filled out the new patient form online, got an email the next day from the office to schedule my appointment (which worked great for me, since I often can't take phone calls during the day), and was ready to go. The wait was about 10 minutes to get my xrays done then I was taken to room for gum exam, then a 5 min wait to see Dr Patel (who was super friendly and helpful) then the benefits coordinator came in and allowed me to pay and schedule my next appointment in the room. On 12/16/24, I had teeth whitening done on the upper & lower arch. Even though I told them that my insurance pays for 50% of each arch, the lazy office staff did not verify my coverage, but instead has me pay in full and said they would issue a credit when the insurance paid their portion. Fast forward to March 2025, I go in for an appointment and bring them 2 letters that my insurance company has sent them asking for additional information on the whitening service that I had. PMD had never responded to the request for information!!! Now I am asked to pay for that days appointment when i should have had a credit on my account! Fast forward again to July 2025, I am scheduled for an appt on the 21st. This time I call the office prior to my appt and STILL no credit. My insurance paid them $227 which should now be a credit on my account. I am furious. I cancelled my appt and I will no longer do business with these people. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and TSBDE! Next, it will be small claims court. It is really stupid that I have to waste time on this! BEWARE! Make them verify services with the insurance. Do not pay in full waiting for them to give you a refund!!
