The experience with Kundani Chang Khinda Wilson was very disappointing! The company is unprofessional, without integrity, and irresponsible! We found this law firm as a provider from my company legal plan. After the appointment with Adam Chang (one partner of the firm), we decided to move forward with them and we completed all the document and signed retainer and provided with $512 deposit (half of the full price) and they agree to proceed with our case on 12/18 (see attached photo for record). After more than one month (1/21), I received a phone call from Lalit Kundani (another partner of the firm) and he told us that they couldn't proceed with our case unless we paid $500 more out of pocket! The reason that he refused to take our case was because he requests us to have an extra Qdot (qualified domestic trust) with our estate plan because my husband and I are not Permanent Residents yet. 1) This company is very unprofessional! We originally consulted with Adam Chang and he provided us with the estate planning that we both agreed to move forward. After more than one month, another partner asked to increase our price, otherwise he will reject our case! How can any one trust this company who can't give professional and consistent suggestions? 2) This company lacks of integrity! If it is your company gave wrong directions for your customers, why should the customers take responsibilities for your mistakes especially they were waiting for one month and a half and wasted their time and energy! 3) This company is very irresponsible. I frankly mentioned to Lalit Kundani that my husband and I already passed our immigrant interview, we are just waiting for our priority date to become current and we can official become permanent resident. I ask whether the firm can keep our case, once we change our immigrant status, they can start to process our case. Lalit refused my propose even though both of us already signed the retainer! 4) This company finagles their customer for more money. As I checked about Qdot, it will help with foreigners only if one of couple passed away, the succeeded one can 100% marital deduction. However, permanent residents have $11,400,000 exempt in lifetime gift tax exemption, PR usually don't the Qdot any more. Moreover, both my husband and I are at our early 30, Lalit Kundani still forced us to pay extra $500 to have Qdot which will not have effect once we received our green card (which can happen within 3-6 months). It wasted our time and energy to work with this firm and we did not get anything done. We shared this experience because we hoped that you may avoid the same incident. So avoid working with this company! read more

I highly recommend this lawyer firm for Estate Planning. During Covid-19 period, all of our interactions were through the phone/email as there was a lock down of businesses in our city. I initially worked with Atty Kundani on creating a trust. He took the time to explain in detail each part of the trust and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. We met in the San Gabriel office and he was very professional and explained to me the difference between a Will and an Estate Planning; also why it was important to have Kids' Protection Plan in place if you have minor children. I am very pleased with the entire process - from navigating all the options in setting up the trust, child guardianship papers, etc through a comprehensive intake meeting all the way through the signing. I have worked with a lot of attorneys. Everything from the big Century City Law firms to the one man shop on the corner. One thing I have learned is that there are two types of attorneys. The first type is the one who says "this is why you won't get what you want" and second type is "this is how we get you what you want". Lalit and his team definitely fall into the second category. My wife and I were very hesitant about suing a big company like Disney for a personal injury claim. We knew they were in the wrong but figured they had so many high-powered attorneys that our side of the story would not be heard. Our daughter was burned at one of the restaurants in Aulani.
