About 2 years ago I went there to have a paragraph changed in my trust. 1) They did not tell me I could do it myself & just assure I have it notarized, 2) They charged me $500 to have a secretary (I assume) type the amendment. I will never go back there. And from now on I hope I always will find and check ratings prior to just calling a nearby attorney. 3) If I feel I only want a form drawn for whatever reason there are "Legal Document Assistant Services". UPDATE: Although I was advised by the attorney to "just pay it," I did not. Instead, I filed a request for the judgment to be cancelled as the fraudulent plaintiff was sited by the CSLB. The judge in fact, cancelled it. It would have been nice to have been given that advice, especially since I spent so much money already. But I did my own research and took care of it without an attorney. If this firm truly believes in their work and think it's fair I paid thousands for mediocre work, shame on them. If they care about improvement and valuing their clients, return a portion of what I paid for. I got to the finish line with the right judgment on my own. read more

Already spoke with two attorneys and both vehemently disagreed with your assessment of insurance matters. To quote one attorney: "I disagree with your prior attorney. I think there is liability on the part of ***, **** and the HOA. The case against *** and *** is very clear cut (I expect their insurers will ultimately pay each of the homeowners for their losses). " The lack of attention and professionalism is striking when you consider the following: I specifically wrote to ARAG (my legal insurance) that I needed assistance with insurance claims and HOA matters. You expressed interest in discussing the case further. We signed a retainer. You drafted a demand letter with various missing critical things like dollar amount asked, etc. I raised the need to address insurance matters yet again with you once I realized you were not moving on that front. The particular attorney assigned to me said they were not experienced in that regard, and would check with a law group partner. I noted repeatedly I wanted a full and fair assessment that wouldn't be dependent on ARAG prices. I was happy to pay outside their fee reimbursement schedule. If you had listened to the above points carefully, engaged them, thought them through with me, this would have gone differently (assuming someone in that office is capable in the areas of need). You provided an incomplete job, collected insurance payments, all at the cost of someone who is already going through great stress. This should not happen in the hands of an attorney one employs. You should not take up cases if you are unable to fully hear your clients and actively engage with the variables you are presented. It seems you had tunnel vision and only saw ARAG despite my statements asking you to look beyond and noting I would be willing to pay if it made sense to move forward. Instead, you made statements concerning the value of litigation when you had failed to hear so many of the things I had told you. read more

I called to review our situation and the gal puts me on hold for almost 8 minutes, and as I was about to hang up she comes back and quickly and sharply tell me we do not handle that, and says "ok, bye bye" and hangs up on me. My wife and I finally got our act together and wanted to create our wills, living trust, power of attorney, medical power of attorney, etc. We were covered by MetLife's Legal Insurance, so we searched our area of Anaheim and found Katje Law Group was nearby and gave them a call with a few questions. We were put in touch with their paralegal Philip Noland and he took great care of us. He sent us a questionnaire online that we discussed and filled out stating our desires for everything that may be out of our control some day. We sent the info back and in a couple weeks we met with Philip and their notary Amanda Garcia. It took about an hour and we were all set. I can't say enough for their professionalism and attention to detail. This is now the second review I'm giving. To September she has refunded $1050 of my money after taking $3500 for me and preparing only one or two documents I was charged $3500 for an illegal evictions during Covid crisis. I do not recommend anybody coming to this attorneys office. I have no other choice but to file a report with a bar association today I have tried to reach out to September the attorney several times and work something out to Refund must most of my money and she refuses she won't even speak to me. I find this very hard to except especially when I work so hard for my money $3500 I was charged 3500 for Deppe speaking to plaintiff attorney, three times plus one document was drafted regarding a trial hearing which to never even had they took and stole my money. I asked to be refunded $2500 since I did all the work I prepared all the legal documents I prepared the answer I prepared everything all they did was talk on the phone. Do you want to charge me $3500 and not refund my money this is unacceptable . She didnt really understand my need and put me on hold for 10 min and kept pressing me for confidential info even when I mentioned I can only share with an attorney and insisted on qualifying me even though i had given all the info i could comfortably give to someone who isnt bound by the confidentiality. I had an unlawful detainer case that just wrapped up from May 2023 were Katje Law diligently followed up on my case being sealed and dismissed with no monetary payment to the landlord. Katje Law since th moment they took my case were on top of things, they immediately reached out to the landlords attorney and made a settlement proposal which after back and forth allowed for a close to 2 month move out date and zero monetary cost. Not only that they stayed on top of the attorneys office after the paperwork was not filed correctly and made sure I was covered. Called about a consultation about a landlord issue. The "lawyer" was very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Didn't identify himself of give any consultation advice as to what my options were. Would not recommend to Update: That is FALSE, he spent no longer than 5 mins with me on the phone and did not cover any legal aspects whatsoever. The intaker gave me more information than this so called attorney. He didn't explain to me my rights as a tenant and what would warrant a legal break from a lease who's landlords are breaking local laws. Your "attorney" never made any mention of how long my case would take or anything like that was ever discussed. This is by far the most dishonest unprofessional law firm I have ever had to deal with. I had a consultation with Melissa King, I was given the agreement to sign and to make a payment of $500 for her work which I did on time. I was made assure that within a week I will get the letter ready. After a week I haven't heard back from her so I sent an email asking about it, she assured me it will be emailed to me by the end on the same day and if not I will get it earliest next week. Fast forward to today, almost two weeks now and I finally got the wrong letter. I want them to refund my money back I really don't want to do business with them anymore.Not only they wasted my time but their way of handling business is unacceptable. You as a business require they payment and the paperwork to be signed and as a client I want the service to be on time. I really don't recommend this place to anyone. Please save your time and money somewhere else. The property management refused to work with me in any way, despite having provided them with ample documentation. Very unprofessional! I was assigned to Attorney Dee for a phone consultation, and I was asked to email some documents related to my case to her before our appointment; however, I don't feel she even bothered to take a quick look before our appointment. During the entire consultation, I felt I just paid someone to read my documents for me, and none of my questions was clearly answered. Towards the end, I was asked to sign a retainer to have her to draft a Demand Letter for me. I expressed that I don't mind to sign it if she could take care of my case for me. However, I was ignored after the consultation! I tried emailing and calling the paralegal, Laura, to ask for the retainer, but she never replies emails or returns phone calls. I had to call multiple times in order to talk to her, and the only answer I got is that everything was forwarded to the attorney and I should just wait for them to email me. Now, a few weeks passed, I never received any response from this firm. I had to start over again with another law firm to resolve my issue. Don't waste time and money here! read more
