The reception and admin staff are polite and courteous, making efforts to accommodate your appointment and work around your schedule, often calling you back if a more convenient slot becomes available. They are very professional and maintain patient confidentiality, and speak about patients respectfully when talking to each other (which I have seen reception staff fail to do in so many other practices). The waiting rooms are clean and comfortable, displaying useful information and calling you to the surgery rooms via a large screen. There is even an electronic check-in desk where you can sign in for your appointment when the reception desk is very busy. All of the doctors and practice nurses I have seen have been professional and caring, and I would recommend this surgery to anyone living in the catchment area.

The doctors there (and there are quite a few) all score highly for their bedside manner: Dr Atkinson in particular is a very caring doctor (but perhaps it's unfair to single him out). The receptionists seem to be efficient. Two minor grumbles: the layout of the surgery is a bit odd (there are two waiting-rooms and if you don't wait in the right one things can get confusing); and the pharmacy next door tends to be rather slow when it's busy (which is often) -- although that's hardly this practice's fault. There's plenty of parking. All in all, an excellent surgery.

This is my (very!) local doctor's surgery. It is located only 2 monutes from my house which is very…read morehandy indeed. Also it was set up to service the houses in the Northgate Village Development so if you move into a house there you are automatically eligable to sign up. The reception staff are always very helpful and will do their best to get you an appointment at short notice. The doctors that I have seen there have been very professional (obviously!) and courteous, giving very helpful advice. You also feel that they are listening to you properly and giving you a good amount of time (they don't push you out of the door). The best thing is that there is a pharmacy build onto the surgery so you can very quickly pick up your perscriptions as well as usual cold, flu medicines, bandages etc. If you live in Northgate Village then you should definitely sign up, before you get ill!
