On my initial appointment, he thoroughly walked through my history and assessed where my body was currently at. Overall, his approach was really similar to the one I've been receiving in SF, but where it varied, I could tell it was the right re-teaching my muscles needed. Dr Melander was also very easy-going and there was absolutely no pressure to set up a rigid structure for appointments (though if I really needed it, he definitely would have done so.) Wow, listen to my story! In April of last year I found out I was in Stage 3 Heart Failure, I ended…read moreup in the hospital 3 times last year, all three times I was in for at least a week. In September I was in for 10 days. So when I got home I was having a problem walking, I thought my legs got weak. I did 6 weeks of physical therapy with absolutely NO improvement! I wasn't able to stand for more than 10 minutes, or walk, with burning in my calves. I could not work, food shop, anything. I had been riding a stationary bike for 30 minutes twice a day and that went down to 3 minutes twice a day. My legs went numb. My heart doc had me get a spine CT, and they said it is most likely caused by my back. I had a motorcycle accident back in 2006, I didn't even take that into consideration, and totally forgot all about it. My doc wanted me to have a test, that I saw my dad had about 5 years ago. After seeing him scream while this test was done I asked if I could go to a Chiropractor first to see if maybe they can help. I chose The Village Chiropractor because it was close to my work and my insurance covered it! Dr. Kelly Delorey sent me for another x-ray and I returned the next day. After her evaluation of my CT and x-ray, she told me one leg was almost 3/4 inch shorter than the other. My spines a mess, from the impact of the car on my spine (whiplash). She started to adjust me and Today is the end of my second week, after my appointment this morning I was able to walk around the track one lap. I am seriously 50% better than two weeks ago. I cant wait to be 100% and that will be soon! Everyone in this office is kind and willing to help.
