After attending…read moreboth preschool and the last two years at the school, his time there has been marred by a negative and dismissive attitude from the staff and teachers. The condescending tone and sarcastic remarks have taken a toll on his self-esteem and overall happiness. These past two years have been particularly damaging to his emotional well-being. The constant judgment and lack of empathy from staff have chipped away at his confidence and stifled his natural joy for learning. It's heartbreaking to witness the adverse effects on a child who is naturally joyful, full of humor, and eager to see the good in every situation. Unfortunately, in a school environment where teachers and staff often appear unsmiling and are quick to label behavior as disrespectful or disruptive, it becomes nearly impossible for a child to hold on to their sense of humor and positivity. While my son is not perfect--no child is--he is full of life, curiosity, and a genuine love for learning. However, his experience at this school has left him anxious and unsure of himself, constantly second-guessing every word and action, as if walking on eggshells. No 10-year-old should feel this way during such crucial formative years. Children deserve to feel safe, to ask questions, to explore, and to make mistakes as part of the learning process. I deeply regret enrolling my son in a school led by unqualified directors and teachers who seem ill-equipped to manage their responsibilities. Their approach, rooted in harshness and excessive control, is not only ineffective but also harmful to a child's education and emotional development. Children thrive in environments that nurture their curiosity, encourage their voices, and support their individuality--not in places that suppress them. Additionally, the leadership exhibits clear favoritism, often granting leniency to children of friends and pastors, despite behaviors that are far more disruptive than my son's. This inequity creates an unfair and toxic environment, undermining the values of fairness and respect that should guide any educational institution. Led by favoritism for children and family of friends. There are plenty of Pastors children who behaviors are worst than my son, yet they get a pass each and every time.

I took their TOEFL classes and I was able to get an amazing score in the exam AND be accepted into university (BYU). I studied in another language school and I didn't have a good experience because the teachers were not as prepared as the ones who work at Selnate. Don't choose a school just because it's cheaper! If you take your education seriously, choose Selnate! They won't disappoint you!

WTF? I leave, head to the next location, and call Jeff. He's like in bed or something and he is a total prick. Doesn't want to refund the $175. Moral of the story, if this was a good motorcycle school, they would have a sign on the directory of the building complex they are located in. They've been in business a while, and have figured out how to rip people off. Jeff says he's going to call sheriff on me. The guy Jeff is out of his mind, I definitely do not recommend this Advanced Rider Training. They want you to fail, so they get the money, and don't have to do anything. You have been warned. My family has lived in NSB, Volusia County for over 4 generations. I know everyone here, and they will know how much this school is a rip off from the start.

I have worked with Julie Hand this year with my daughter to help improve her reading skills. My…read moredaughter has been under grade level by a lot. This year has been a huge success with the help of Sunshine tutoring. My daughter goes twice a week for an hour and the improvement is unbelievable. Last year my daughter was unsuccessful in the star reading test given at the end of the year. However with all the tutoring she received this year she was able to jump 279 points on that same reading test this year. Without Julie and the team of people at Sunshine tutoring Lily would not have achieved that much forward progress. If you are looking for help this is the place to come.

Carly Caldwell, the owner of this establishment continued to charge me for lessons I wasn't receiving during my daughter's illness. I wrote a letter to stop payment, she then sent that letter to my bank in order to prevent reimbursement of services not received. Her and I even spoke by phone and although I thought we would reach a resolution, she never called me back. It's sad to me that my daughter was never able to finish and during a difficult time of illness with my child, Carly put an additional $180 in her own pocket as a result.

We missed one scheduled session (two 15 minutes) and asked to make it up if they have a cancellation. They allowed to make up one, but told us their policy does not allow to make up the other. Lack of customer service is always a bad business judgment. A good business needs to have some flexibility in their policies and customer appreciation, especially that this was the only time during the past 7 months that we've missed. It doesn't cost them much to allow a make up during a cancellation because the coach is still in the pool. I have cancelled lessons for both kids because my policy is not to give business to a business that does not appreciate me as a customer.

After about two weeks my child started acting out at home and became very unruly, but what really concerned me is he didnt want to go back and every morning became a battle. I started to come in at different times and always observed all the kids running around wild and there was no real affection shown to the kids.. What really upset me is on more than one occasion I witnessed the 1 year olds crying constantly, upset and the teacher never once comforted them. At one point I watched as a child was picked up by the arm and moved over to the wall and told to stay there. The teachers didnt seem happy to be there and the turn over was alot. Bright colors and fuzzy bees can be deceiving........
