I was a licensed massage therapist for 10 years, so I have a good grasp of what makes a good…read moremassage. This place had almost none of it. It was the worst massage that I have had in years. The therapist was friendly and the place was clean, but she didn't speak enough English to understand even the most basic of guidance. She started by adding $5 to the charge for using a debit card, without saying a word about it. A couple of dollars is fine but mention it. Her massage was erratic and all over the place. I would be highly surprised if she had a Texas license. She did compression's with the heel of her hands ON my spine. This is one of the most repeated no-no's mentioned in school. Next to the spine, never across it. I tried telling her to use more pressure, try deep tissue, and even pointing to the areas that needed work. Her only response was sorry, no English. She was in and out of the room 8 times. At first I thought she was the only one there, but there was another lady there who finished with a client just after my massage started. I could go on about other problems with the massage, but I think I have covered enough. At the end of the massage she asked me if the massage was good. I flat out told her NO. Her response Sorry, No English. I asked if the other lady spoke better English. She said yes, so I asked her to go and get her. I was considering having the other lady work on me for another 30 minutes to get the areas that she had missed. The therapist left the room and I could hear them talking in Chinese. She returned without the other lady and that was the end of the massage. I won't be going back.

My hair is soft and cannot handle all of that heat too often, but I LOVE the fact that I spend no more than 2 to 2 &1/2 hours here max when I color, sit under the dryer with rollers, blow dry, and do pin curls. Jackie is very attentive. I promise you will not have your hair washed better at any salon in the city! I have had my hair washed anywhere from 2 to 4 times (with shampoo) depending on how dirty it is and then once with conditioner. D Marys washes until your hair and scalp is clean, clean, clean. They have spoiled me and ALL other salons half way wash my hair compared to them. Give them a try. Tip: watch the heat if your hair is soft.
