We immediately loved the administrators and teachers at TT and were happy with our decision to make the change. We have been impressed with their re-opening procedure due to COVID and we feel that the kids are in a safe and clean environment. We are also extremely pleased with the teachers and the activities that the kids are doing in the preschool 1 classroom. The teachers are not only helpful but extremely responsive via their App and do give lots of updates throughout the day.

By the time my…read moresecond daughter arrived I felt things were going well at the daycare and decided to put my younger one in around 5 months old. At that time I felt comfortable with all of the staff. My younger daughter was being cared for in the infant room by a primary caregiver who I later observed on one of the cameras yanking a utensil from my older daughter's mouth because lunch time was over. I spoke with the administrator at the time and notified them that this was unacceptable and this woman shouldn't be working with children. At that point this particular teacher was not the primary caregiver for either kids and I felt comfortable with their primary caregivers. I felt the situation would be handled appropriately by the daycare as I really did trust the administrator at the time. Then this past year my younger daughter who was now 3 notified me that this same teacher (who was helping in her room that day) hit her with an I pad, threatened to put her in time out and threatened to call her mom all because my daughter wouldn't stop crying. This particular day when I picked my daughter up this teacher made it a point to tell me that my daughter had a "hard morning" and cried for an hour after they went to the village, which I then said oh that's not typical for her. It was typical for her to cry at drop off but not randomly during the day for an hour. The teacher told me she thinks my daughter cried because she didn't want to leave the village. After my daughter opened up to me about what happened I felt this teacher was intentionally trying to cover her tracks. Even if my daughter was upset or melting down she was 3 years old, it doesn't give anyone the right to verbally abuse her and hit her with an object. I notified the administrator who now was a different person and told her about this and I do not want that person caring for my child ever again. I was told this teacher most likely wouldn't be coming back so I assumed something else happened with more children. Months later I find out there is an open investigation about this women abusing multiple kids including in the infant room with a baby possibly having a broken leg from the abuse. If this woman was held accountable years ago these other horrific incidents would not have occurred. I pulled my daughter immediately and notified the interim admin the horror that this facility chose to keep this same woman on staff despite so many red flags and no communication with me regarding these new incidents despite my report of abusive behavior with my child notifying me she was hit with an I pad. This place has gone down hill horrifically. They will hire anyone with a pulse and do not care about the safety of the kids. The cameras give a false sense of security, unless you can stare at them every minute of every day do not trust this place. After talking with other parents I come to find out that while my now 4 year old was in the infant room with the reported abusive teacher there were other parents reporting she was "mishandling" their children (this was FOUR YEARS AGO) and she was still not fired. There were many complaints against her but she was a reliable worker in regards to showing up for work, they needed bodies since they were always short staffed so choose to keep people who should not be working with children. My daughter who is now 4 still talks about this teacher who was allegedly abusing other children as well, she tells me "Miss xxxxxx" is so mean" "Miss xxxxxx wasn't a good teacher." Run!

All your decisions revolve around your child when becoming a parent…read more Having to go back to work is a hard decision but made so much easier when you know you have chosen a great daycare/preschool for your kids. Pixie Dixie encompasses the safety, learning, experience, and excitement a child needs. This is a well organized, detail oriented facility that focuses on the international and cultural diversities that surround us here in Chicago. Kids can join as early as 15 months and be submerged into learning Polish, English and Spanish in a fun environment that will have them speaking fluently without much effort. The teachers are trained and focused in ensure a daily lesson plan is set so children excel in their education as well. From math, science, and history, to grammar, phonetics, and comprehension, the children receive a great head start to their learning that has kindergarten schools complimenting their progress. Whether you are of Spanish decent, Polish, English, Russian, Hindu, etc., you child will learn and master all three prime Chicagoland languages (Spanish, English, Polish). There is no greater joy than to hear you 4 year old Polish niece singing songs in Spanish and teaching you the words. Healthy eating habits are also learned from the home cooked meals provided by the faculty on a daily basis, with a meal plan organized for the entire week. Children learn to share, help, and respect each other and the elders. They learn manners and taking turns, to clean up after themselves and how to share duties. Hands on experiences allow the children to be excited about school and their learning. Firefighters and policemen come to share their knowledge and show the kids their gadgets. They can even sit in the fire truck!! School plays are put on for all family numerous times a year for all major occasions; Easter, Christmas, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, etc. They recite poems and sing songs in Polish, English, and Spanish!! Pixie Dixie is by far the most involved day care around. You can see children that join at 15 months old, remain with the daycare until they are ready for further education. Pixie Dixie has each child and parent feeling like family, because it is run by family. I recommend Pixie Dixie to all my parent-friends. Who wouldn't want their child taught and taken care of by such a great involved program!!

From the moment we enrolled, I could see how much the staff truly cares about the children. The environment is warm, welcoming, and filled with love and attention. I enrolled my daughter during Covid--- probably one on the scariest moments we experienced collectively, in this world. However I was greeted, at CCLC in a way that reassured me that "Everything would be alright". Fast forward to today... five years later, we have 2 children enrolled and the experience is the same! CCLC is our family. They are the village every family needs. The teachers are not only professional but also passionate about their work. They create a balance of learning, fun, and exploration through age-appropriate activities that encourage development, both socially and academically. I love seeing the progress my children have made, from learning new words to building important friendships with peers. What I appreciate most is the clear communication from the staff. They keep me updated on my children's day, whether it's a milestone they've reached, a challenge they've faced, or just a note about how their day went. This level of care and transparency reassures me that my child is in great hands. I highly recommend CCLC to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for their child(ren). It's truly a place where children thrive, and I'm so thankful for the wonderful team who helps my child grow each day."

My mom always talks about how grateful she is that she found this place, and how they've instilled great values in me. I feel so lucky to have been part of this community and can't recommend this place enough!
