I have been here through the days of Sue and Blythe and now with Alaya. I have seen multiple people in the management team after Sue left the center and was here through the rocky times. The thing that kept me here during those rocky times were the amazing teachers. There was never a day where I thought that my child was in danger or not being taken care of by his teachers. Alaya was given a mess a little over a year ago and has really brought together a great team of management who brought the center around. They have all been very open to listening to the parents on what was not working well under the old management and working with us to find ways to fix it. My son is currently in the preschool class with Ms. Dede and Ms. Christina and he loves it. He gets sad on the weekends when he realizes that he will not be seeing his teachers and friends. When he was home during quarantine we connected with his teachers and messaged them throughout because he missed them. These teachers really became a part of his life and treat him so well. Because of COVID, things are harder now since I don't get to speak face to face with his teachers as often as I used to but they do their best to write tons of information into his tadpole reports and send home plenty of pictures and videos through the tadpole app. They also come to the front door to speak to me at pick up if he is the last in the class, or will pop their head out of the outside door of the classroom to speak with me if I have a question for them. They have taught him so much in preschool this year in just over a month and I look forward to seeing him grow and learn more as the year progresses. When he moved up from his discovery preschool class we were so disappointed to leave behind his last teacher Ms. Judy but Ms. Dede and Ms. Christina have been just as good. Infant has been a little harder to transition back to as the teachers in the infant classes are different than when my son went through there so I don't have a previous relationship with them. I rely a lot on the updates I get from Christina (management) when I pick up as she is assigned to help out in the infant class (the management gets assigned to different classes to try to limit the exposure between classes). I receive constant communication from her teachers giving me information on when she slept and how much she has eaten. She just started walking so I am now getting regular phone calls about the normal bumps all 11 month olds go through when they are learning to walk and fall down. The calls from Ms. Julie are always so pleasant and she makes me feel reassured that she is okay and keeping me informed so I am not worried if I see a little bump. I get pictures of her playing with different things in the class. And just the other day I received the cutest video of them showing her laminated leaves and teacher her the colors. They really do a good job of finding ways to instill learning even in the very young classes. It was really scary to send the kids back to daycare due to COVID, but there is no one that I would trust more than the team at this center to do everything in their power to keep all of these kids safe. I have never once even caught a glimpse of an adult (in the building or even outside walking to their car) not wearing their mask properly. Unfortunately, not being able to go into the classrooms, I cannot say what they look like but I know before COVID they were constantly cleaning and they would have a bin for toys that needed to be sanitized which they would add to during the day and not bring back out until they had been cleaned. We send in a clean blanket and mask every day to reduce germs and no outside toys are allowed in (even for their normal Friday show and tell) as they are reducing the germs everywhere they can. There are strict rules around returning to the center after being sick and take the kids temperature and ask the health questions every morning during drop off. My daughter just started daycare for the first time so I have no doubt that she will get sick several times this winter even with all of the precautions that they are taking (as she already has actually) but it has been so much less in the first 3 months in daycare than it was with my first child, which goes to show just how much they are cleaning (because lets be honest, babies have no immune system and put everything in their mouth so they are going to get sick).

The turnover is not high, every staff member knows our children by name and greet them warmly everyday. If a child is having a tough day, everyone jumps in to try and help. No daily reports over things that children do as apart of growing pains/being a kid. So happy we moved to this location and truly wish we found it sooner.

It's a small school, so it is easier to get to know everyone on a personal level. The teachers are very caring, and it seems as though they put their heart and souls into their roles. The director takes her time in communicating with parents and answering any questions or concerns. It is no wonder it has been voted best in Essex in past years! I can't imagine a better, safer environment to bring my child :)

My child is well taken care of and even though we just started the staff all know my family by name. Highly recommend for all children because the curriculum is excellent. It is not just a 'daycare' but they strive to prepare our children for Kindergarten and help with socializing, sensory stimulation, nap schedules etc. I also love the additional activities and philanthropic fundraisers they support. So we had to un-enroll her. Also had an experience where there were only 2 kids in the class around 7:45am, and 2 teachers. One teacher was holding a crying toddler, yet the other teacher neglected to comfort our daughter who was screaming at her feet, while she continued to talk to the other teacher. She only interacted with her when she saw me looking at her from the side window. This was day 3 of my daughter being enrolled there. Which completely broke my heart seeing this as a first time day-care mom. I spoke to the director and requested a specific teacher be assigned to my daughter because I noticed she was the most nurturing from what I'd seen, but was told they could not honor my request and assign a specific teacher cause they don't take requests. A few kids had yellow snot running down their noses which also resulted in my daughter having a terrible flu for 2 weeks. Stopping in a couple times during the day we also noticed that her bottle and food was placed on the table and left, and if they dropped or she didn't eat, there'd be little attempt to ensure she has something in her tummy. So she was always extremely hungry and cranky when we picked her up and drank 2 bottles on the drive home from roseland to Montclair. Our experience was not the greatest, but yours may be different. Eventually, her stopping eating and drinking after a week of being there forced us to remove her & we appreciate miss Tessa understanding and issuing us a partial refund.

She was brand new to a daycare setting and we were unsure of what to expect, but she has such wonderful and caring teachers as well as a dedicated administrative staff. The curriculum has been amazing, her speech and development has already grown leaps and bounds! She has fun and loves going to school every day. The facility itself is very clean and secure. Everyone is friendly and genuinely cares about our daughter. It gives us great peace of mind to know she's well taken care of each and every day.

We heard about LPP from our neighbors, and we are lucky we did. Our son started at Le Parc Place…read morepreschool at 2.5 and is now 4. From the outset we have had a great experience. Nadia the director helped us figure out a schedule to transition him in before he was full time. Then this was his first time in full time care and all of the teachers were so warm and caring that he was immediately eager to go to school every day. It is a fairly small school so our son was thrilled to get to know some of the "big" kids and eager to move up a class each year. He constantly amazes us with all he has learned at LPP and he loves the enrichment classes he takes like art, dance, science, and music. Since the school is in downtown Maplewood, the kids get to spend outdoor time in Memorial Park, walk over to the library, and explore on walks. We greatly appreciate the great hours as two commuting parents. Most important to us is how we see LPP helping our son become a kind and caring citizen of the world. He loves to "play play play" at school and we see how he is doing that and much more at LPP. Can't wait to send our younger child there when she is old enough!

Disappointing Experience. As a concerned parent, I feel compelled to share my disappointing…read moreexperience. First and foremost, the lack of communication from staff members was incredibly frustrating. Important updates regarding my child's progress or any incidents at school were nonexistent. There was no way to know what the children were doing all day at this daycare. They would not come home with any projects, homework, not even a piece of artwork in the month and a half we were there. Furthermore, the curriculum seemed outdated and uninspired. My child showed little enthusiasm for the activities provided, suggesting a lack of engagement and stimulation. It's disheartening to witness such a lackluster approach to early childhood education. Aside from the aspects of the education and staff, my child consistently had unusual episodes of accidents and vomiting that did not seem to be linked to any infection or illness. On the most upsetting occasion, during lunch time, my daughter had told a staff member that she needed to use the restroom and was told that she has to wait. She ended up going number two in her pants in the lunch room. She is 4 years old and has never had an accident as such since being potty trained at 2. She consistently told me that they would tell her she has to wait until after lunch to use the restroom. When I spoke to the owner, she was inconsistent with her story about the incident. Originally telling me that she never told anyone she had to use the restroom, then she speaks very quietly and they will have to work with her to speak louder, and finally that the teacher did come up to her and asked her if she had to go number one or number two and she said number one. As if whether she had to pee or poop would make any of this better. Fast forward one week and during lunch the staff member told her to finish her food, but she did not like it. She ended up throwing up instantly as I put her in my car after school and in tears telling me she didn't like the food she was told to finish. All of this could be over looked if I didn't reach out to SEVERAL other families in Livingston that had similar experiences and had left this day care as well. So far I have yet to meet someone who has something good to say about this day care. These are just a few of my experiences at this facility, which I have plenty more of. The owner also has a ridiculous policy to notify them one month in advance if you decide to leave or you lose your deposit. So basically, my child is miserable there and I have to force them to continue to go for one more month or we lose our deposit. Obviously I care for my child far too much to put her through any more of this. I was so upset over this entire experience I did not even bother to return to pick up my children's belongings leaving behind some clothing and slippers for 2 children. Just stay away, there are plenty of lovely and wonderful daycares, including Russian based day cares, around our areas to choose from. This place is very cold and not a pleasant experience for any child or parent.
