My sister and I went to get our noses pierced here. For background context, i've had terrible jobs done that traumatized me from the needle, especially my nose.. Destiny was the professional expert I needed after years of wanting my nose pierced again but being so scared. She took my small scar into consideration, felt it to make sure it was safe to pierce my nose at all, and marked an alternative and optimal spot that satisfied my desired look. The piercing process itself was seamless and painless and she was super communicative the whole time to ease our nerves, she knows what she's doing. Felt good from the second I walked through the door! Great people doing great things! Their girl that was piercing that day was super nice and fun to talk to! My artist's name was Raven...this is probably the first tattoo that I didn't have to "baby" after getting it done...he was very gentle and did an awesome job!!! No one deserves to be treated the way the piercer treated me the day I went. I go in for a piercing and I tell the piercer what I wanted and they immediately respond with which kind and I simply ask "what's the difference?" and they look at me as If I did something horribly wrong as a curious customer by asking a normal question and they pause and say, "Do you have your phone?". I reply yes and they say "Search it up." Extremely rude and unprofessional way of responding to a simple question instead of explaining it to me or even providing photos. After figuring out which kind I wanted they bring me to the back and mark where they would place the piercing, they show me and it's much higher than my reference photo and when I asked for them to please lower it they seemed annoyed and I asked more questions about what the final product of my piercing would look like and they would just stare at me blankly and never respond to my questions. After piercing me they offered a five dollar bottle of cleaner and I said yes and then the total for both the piercing and cleaner would have been 35 so when I walk up to the counter I hand them two 20 dollar bills and I was fully expecting the change. Instead they tell me have a nice day. As a service worker I NEVER expect any extra change is mine as a tip and I was definitely not going to leave them a tip after the way they treated me. I felt rushed, misinformed, and disrespected. Please spare your time and money and go to another place for a piercing because no one deserves to be treated so rudely as a paying customer. Today was my first time going to Bright Ideas. This was my 9th tattoo, all ranging from different sizes, and different parts of the body. I reached out to Mia via Instagram. We set the appointment, sent the deposit, etc. I was super excited to get work done by her, as her lines were really clean and perfect for the work we wanted. The night before she messaged me asking if we could come 30 minutes early, so we did. We got there 10 minutes before our time. My mistake, but prior I did not have her quote us. She did there, and quoted us $80 each. As mentioned, I have had A LOT of tattoos, so I immediately knew she was screwing us over, as $160 for what we got is not normal. She then went on to ask me if I was old enough to get a tattoo. I am in my mid twenties, and look young, but isn't that something you're supposed to ask prior? She then made a comment about how she just didn't know since it was a mother daughter matching tattoo in a condescending tone.. We waited for over 40 minutes and weren't seen until our original appointment time... I had mentioned we were working, and made accommodations to make sure we could get there in time. While waiting, the shop seemed a mess. I have been tattooed by convicted felons and the shop had more professionalism. Everyone was yelling and talking, the guy next to us took an hour to put a stencil on, he was talking so much. They began to talk about a guy who didn't show up to his appointment and how the artist waited 30 minutes and it disrespected his time. They were all agreeing - yet, the irony is clients are waiting longer than that. Is their time not as valuable? When it was finally our turn, Mia began making remarks that made me feel uncomfortable. She started asking, again kind of condescending, if this was my first tattoo. Didn't ask my mom either, only me. I told her it wasn't. She told me, again condescending, that this one would be more spicy. I explained my first tattoo was 6hrs on my ribs, I would be ok... Overall, she just kept making remarks about me and asking questions, that made me feel extremely uncomfortable and judged. We hardly talked the entire time because we just felt uncomfortable at this point. 40+ minute wait, 2 tattoos, 30 minutes for both + setup/clean up and $180 later... lol. We got ripped off and truly treated not well. I was really excited to find an artist with such clean lines, but I will not be going back. 3 stars because the work is good, but their are others who are just as good, don't rip people off, and have better overall bedside manners. This tattoo was extremely special to my mom and I as she is moving across the country. It would have been nice to have a special moment to share with her, instead of getting such a poor, uncomfortable experience. To add, luckily for us, we have several tattoos. However, she further didn't even offer aftercare information or anything. It was almost as if she knew she was making us uncomfortable, and just continued to make comments, or simply just wanted us out of there. Overall, this experience truly put a damper on the meaning of this tattoo, as the energy behind it just seems so negative now. Definitely would recommend going elsewhere. read more

I'll start of with saying Dillan is AWESOME! I got my nose pierced from a different shop and had a horrible experience (fainted and painful) and was scared to get it pierced again after it closed up. My best friend recommended Dillan so I went for it. I did not feel a thing! It was the best experience and was very calm! My nose piercing healed great! I got a belly piercing from Dillan a couple years ago and he was able to pierce it again not once but 2X with no pain! I am terrified to get piercings but I trust Dillan to do mine! I went to get my belly pierced 3 days ago and it was quick and easy. I DM'd him prior to showing up to the shop and he replied to my message quickly and answered all my questions. 10000/10 great experience, thank you! read more

I went in to get a matching tattoo at the end of April and after seeing it healed, I hate it. The letters look horrible, especially the R and U that were dragged out. I thought it was extra ink that had smeared and would go away, but no. In addition, I feel bad that I brought my younger sister to get her first tattoo because hers is not straight. The only tattoo that came out the way it was supposed to was my friends. Now, I have moved out of state and I'm hoping I can find someone willing to fix it. 5 stars for the place being clean but I personally wouldn't go back or recommend them for a tattoo. Update: We were not advised against getting small lettering but instead advised on getting "Never grow old" instead because it "looked better". I have gladly accepted recommendations from artists in the past when given especially when it comes to font. In this case, it was not given. Also, as stated before it was a matching tattoo. I am sad to say that this was not a great experience. My friends and I had read rave reviews about a piercer here. I got my nose pierced, and my friends, their ears. When we went in, it was a different person. We did not make an appointment, because we were told on the phone they only took walk-ins. We assumed that based on the reviews, we would be fine. The lady that took us was rather unfriendly, brash, and in a hurry. There was no one else there waiting for piercings, but she definitely moved more quickly than I felt comfortable and seemed impatient with me. She also seemed as though we were an annoyance to her -- that is just how I read her vibe and body language but that is how important the energy that one exudes is especially in a setting like this. Her piercing care instructions were very fast and difficult to keep up with and they offered nothing in writing for instructions. It turns out that following the instructions she provided me irritated my piercing site. I've had to go elsewhere for post care because of irritation from the angle at which it was pierced, the style and metal of the jewelry, and the care instructions that rather irritated it. I had much higher hopes for getting my nose done! read more

After piercing my nose, I then decided to have him pierce my second hole on my left ear as well. I am new to the area from CA and was nervous based on reviews I read from other shops. I called at 1:45 and booked an appointment for 6 to get a tattoo that consisted of 7 words, the girl said she had time and could do it and come in. I came in for my appointment, even a little early for it, and she was doing a walk-in. At first she asked what I was getting and I showed her and she said not a problem and she was running about 30 minutes late as she took a walk in right after she got off the phone with me... Okay, no problem, I get that.... Then at 6:30 she said she was almost done but could only get me in and not my sister, which I asked if she could do her after me when I first came in and she at first said it wouldn't be a problem, but then said her babysitter was blowing up her phone so she could do mine but was still working on the walk-in.... At 7:45 she came over and said she couldn't get to me as she still wasn't done with the walk in and had to go get her kids. As a mom and I do get the whole kid thing, I do, but, you don't book an appointment and take a walk in that you can't do in the time allotted. I asked if the other tattoo guy that was there could do it, and she told me no because the shop closes at a certain time and it wasn't possible. I ended up going somewhere else and he had it done in less than an hour and it looks amazing. I'm disappointed that I was shrugged off as I wasn't a valued customer. I have never been to a shop that I made an appointment with and was turned away because someone couldn't figure out their time management. I recommend Dilan there for a piercing, but I wouldn't go for a tattoo if that's the customer service you get. read more

He said he had his tongue pierced and the staff was real nice. Ok, so I went. I was having 00 double flares removed. For whatever reason, I just could not get them out. The employee that did the job was very nice and very quick in getting them out. Sure, a little tinge of pain with my left ear but over all a very good experience.
