This so called Academy has no respect for parental rights and has shown discriminating attributes towards health and diet. My child repeatedly got sick from the food they were serving. So I took him to the doctor to learn that it was probably do to a food allergy. I got a prescription from the doctor to allow my child to bring own lunch from home, that the doctor himself had approved. They then didn't want to accept the prescription and tried to get me to go for another form to be filled out and then the wanted to scrutinize what he was bringing to eat, which again was approved by parents and his doctor. Then they didn't want to accept that if it didn't have specifics to what exactly that my child was allergic to. I feel that My Child I should be able to determine what he or she eats without permission from a doctor in the 1st place. Due to the fact of resolution wanting to be my attitude I went ahead and got the doctor's prescription. They continued to scrutinize anyway. It's gotten so bad I'm removing him from the school at this time. We as parents have the right to keep our children not only safe but healthy. They don't respect that here. THEY SUCK!!

Also, Heather, the Asst Director (I think that was her role) was also incredible! She was always such a warm welcome every morning and always made my boy smile! She always informed me of anything going on in the class or with my child (sickness) and also took the time to get to know my sweet babe individually. However, finding a center which has been around for a while with low staff turn over is almost impossible. Now try finding a center where the staff has stuck around for 20 years. Unheard of right? Ok now try finding a center with those 3 criteria plus each staff member is warm hearted, and loving and patient and loves children. That is the sunshine house ran by Miss. Regina. My son attended when he was 2 till he turned 3. I am so thankful that we got to experience this daycare and all the wonderful staff members. The center is busy but never chaotic. All the kids are always in a state of ease because the teachers are ALWAYS at ease. My son started off in Miss. Jocelyn's class. She is warm and experienced and loves kids and the kids love her! This was not daycare, it was more like my son's second home. My son would tell me daily as soon as we got home "I wanna go school. I wanna see Miss. Jocelyn."
