I asked him to discuss the problem and strategy with me before making any adjustments, but he just started pushing me into positions anyway. The next two days my pain and stress increased dramatically and I was immobilized for a week until I could see a professional. To make things worse, he and half of his staff were not wearing masks, the nurses said "it's a personal choice" (despite it being the law in ohio) and "you don't want to talk about that here" quite dismissively. This poor experience, contrasted with the wonderful treatment and service I found elsewhere, proved to me that there is a wide spectrum of quality in chiropractic care, and to better vet people that claim to be doctors.

Keep in mind, they not only let us sit there all that time, it was also mentioned about my service dogs when I made the appointment. They immediately tried to schedule me somewhere else instead of trying to fix the situation. Keep in mind, it is illegal to deny service based on allergies or fear of dogs, per federal law (ADA). It turned into another hour of calling and talking to different people and them trying to "negotiate" with me. Read, they wanted to figure out a way to not accommodate us, while making it look like they were "working with us." I only needed to get a refill on meds. That was literally it. So, 2 1/2 hours later, and being forced to put my service dogs in the car, I finally saw the doctor and was able to leave. The whole situation was not only illegal, it was just plain unethical. You don't ask someone to be separated from their medical equipment. End of the day, it comes down to this: You can take Benadryl. I can't stop being disabled. You might have to suffer through some discomfort for the rest of the day. I'll be spending the rest of the week dealing with the physical, mental, and emotional fallout.
