We packed in brand new boxes and they arrived looking like this.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. From the moment I got an estimate from Josh, nothing went smoothly. Josh gave me his "direct line" and never answered that line again. Items were promised in 4-6 days and arrived 12 days later. Fragile boxes were damaged, often stacked underneath non-fragile boxes. The flatscreen TV arrived with a crack. We had a clothes rack that was destroyed. The insurance they provide is basically non-existent. The most frustrating thing is that the estimate more than doubled although the list of items to be moved hardly changed. The customer service reps were rude. This was an incredibly stressful and awful experience and I highly recommend you stay away from Bright Star.

This company took my money and blocked my phone number when I started asking questions about delivery. Absolute SCAMMERS. First of all they pretend to be a small family-owned business but in actuality outsource all their moving to falsely registered local companies. I spoke to Mike Wallace and I was told my business is with Bright Star. It was given to Mak Elite which is a local moving company when I started asking questions on delivery. On checking, Mak Elite is also not registered on BBB. They themselves are registered falsely. You cannot leave a review on my moving reviews or trust pilot. Their personal website is fake. They have also been reported and accused of falsifying reviews on wwww.mymovingreviews.com. I called up customer service and they were rude. It has been 3 days post promised delivery date and they do not know when it will be delivered. The reps Tiffany and Jonathan got angry that I was asking questions and then my phone number got blocked. Completely unprofessional. They have no tracking numbers and no accountability. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. THEY ARE FAKE.

Would show the snowboard gear but that was all stolen after they slashed this 1/1 custom painting.

brokers who hire fake scammer moving "companies" destroyed artwork intentionally stole 5k in snowboard equipment, broke 25% of all plates China and dish ware. rude insulting horrifically late scam artist is who will charge you a deposit to lock you in then quadruple the rates if you ever want whats left of your stuff again. hire vendors with no CDL driving trucks over 26000gvwr. leave your stuff on the curb and demand "carry it yourself or we will make it worse for you" they should be dragged into a prison cell and left for a couple months. Run as fast as you can if you are still thinking of using these creatures realize their entire business model is to take your deposit pressure you never deliver and steal what is worth the litigation over. you might as well just burn your current house down and start again bc that would be less painful than hiring this fake middleman company

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! It all started with a google search when I was immediately bombarded with many moving companies. One of the emails was the following: Tuesday, 07/16/2024 Hello, this is Carlene with BRIGHT STAR MOVING & STORAGE AMERICA'S MOST TRUSTED MOVING COMPANY We are a 5-star A+ rated for moving service. We have been trying to get in touch with you , but unfortunately, we haven't been able to reach you. Are you still in need of a moving company? If yes, please do not hesitate to contact me either by phone 352-353-2037 or text. We are fully licensed and insured by the Department of Transportation. We are excited about the prospect of working with you and assisting you with your relocation. Thank you for considering us, and have a splendid day! Carlene Within minutes Carlene called and went on and on about how they were a family run business, she's worked for them for 18 years and willing to offer me a free estimate. I explained I could only guess on what I had to move, very little furniture, mostly boxes and gave my best guess. She provided a great quote $1320, but, I had to confirm today. I asked what if I had a few more items, she told me not to worry I had 300 cubic feet and based on what I told her there would be plenty of room to add more items. By the way, the movers are brokers and don't work for this company. A couple of days prior to the move I received a call from Dannie to reconfirm our items, my 2 twin beds with mattresses turned into 2 box springs, 2 bed frames 2 bed footboards, 2 bed headboards and 2 mattresses. They really get caught up in the number of pieces which I didn't understand. My 2 dressers were now 3 because one had a mirror. I did add 20 small boxes, 1 gaming chair, 8 tote bags, a puppet house and barbie house. Dannie said she was going to have to re-do the quote, because I went from 35 pieces to 71, I asked why it mattered that I was told I had 300 cubic feet and Carlene told me there was still room on the truck. I also asked why Carlene listed items such as the beds as 2 pieces and now that number has grown to 10. My quote doubled and now they were charging me $2545.22, this increased the cubic feet to 531. I should have canceled at this point, but I was going to lose my deposit. When the movers arrived they packed all the smaller stuff in the truck, it looked to be about 6ft, by 5ft, nowhere near the 531 cubic feet. The movers said they reached 71 pieces, and it was based on whatever came first the number of pieces or cubic feet. They wouldn't take the beds and dressers. They told us it would be an additional $2400.00, I forgot to mention they demanded we had to pay half the balance before they filled the truck and the remaining balance when they delivered our belongings. So at this point we are already out $1800.00. We told them they weren't getting any more money, they dropped the price to $1400. We told them to deliver what they had. We were told the movers would give us a delivery date, they said someone would call, on the way out they hit and damaged a tree. I called Bright Star immediately, they told me once they delivered my belongings they would review the phone calls and case with management and would refund if needed. I called every day for a delivery date, no one at Bright Star could help me, I swear the extensions and numbers changed every day. I finally received a call 11 days after pick-up that they would be at my house in four hours. Who operates like this. I've been calling Bright Star every day since, I've been disconnected and transferred to lines that just ring and no one picks up. This company lied repeatedly to us, they claim to be professional, far from it, they are scammers. We were victims of theft.

I was told it was only needed as a backup in case anything happened. At the time, I was in a tough situation and needed to move quickly. On the scheduled move day--a Friday--my job had an unexpected delay with my paycheck, and I wouldn't be paid until Monday. That had never happened to me before. I thought everything would be okay since they already had my bank information. I called them right away, explained the situation, and asked if they could simply withdraw the payment from my account, since by the time it processed, the money would be there. They refused. Instead, they said I had to pay with a debit or credit card that same day or cancel--and if I canceled, I'd be charged a cancellation fee. I was shocked. Given my situation, I was practically begging them to just use the bank information they already had. I even spoke with a manager, who told me I had to cancel and that they would charge my bank account for the cancellation. That made no sense to me--they could use my bank account to charge a cancellation fee, but not for the actual service? Then Monday came--and they didn't take the cancellation payment. Weeks went by, and I assumed at that point they would send me a bill. Instead, without any notice, they suddenly withdrew the money--right when I was again just days away from payday. I was already living paycheck to paycheck, and this pushed my account into the negative and caused overdraft fees. I called every number I could find for Two Men and a Truck to try to resolve this, but no one was able to help me. I don't expect charity. But everyone goes through hard times, and if a company already has your bank information and plans to charge you anyway, why not work with the customer instead of putting them in a worse situation? To me, it felt like they just wanted to get paid without doing the work. The cancellation fee was just 160, and all of these months later it still bothers me. Thank God i'm in a much better place, and it's not about the amount, it's about the lack of care. I had heard for years about two men and a truck. I thought they were reputable people. But I was wrong. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
