TamiRae has the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. The studio was immaculately clean, comfortable and relaxing. The oils and treatments she used were effective and smelled lovely. Her touch proved she's a natural at massage, but since I was a new client she checked in with me to make sure my experience was great. I also appreciated that before the massage/warm stones/foot treatment/spa facial she walked me through what would happen, including when/why she would need to briefly leave the room. (I've had a massage therapist step out for 5 mins, and it was obvious by the smell upon return it was a smoke break - no lie lol!) I requested the Special 60 min full body and 30 min foot massage. First off 90 minutes is not 1 hour and 20 minutes. I arrived early, but the service did not start early, that was fine. I was never asked what "type" of message I wanted, but I got really deep tissue even after wincing in pain and asking for lighter pressure. Full body consisted of my back, some arms and some legs. Lots of time was spent on my neck which is now tender to the touch. I am not sure this person has a message license, may have been out front, but I did not see one. I was then moved to the foot area where the message person started on my head. I had French braided my hair for the message, I was not asked if I wanted my head rubbed, but I did not like the head thing as it hurt. I asked her to stop as I started getting a head ache. Then we went to the feet. They switched people on me at that point, now I had a guy. I have had reflexology messages on my feet. What I got was not even close to being what I expected. Initially I was a little hesitant to book with someone with very few reviews. Especially seeing as…read morethey would be coming out to our secluded Airbnb location, but after talking with Jenia, she made me feel confident to book three separate appointments for the people traveling in our party. Jenia maintained COVID protocols (masking up and sanitizing, and changing blankets/sheets in between each of us). The Reiki experience was fascinating. Each of us had prior experiences with various massage techniques, but never had we encountered the Reiki combination. I personally could feel the heat radiating from her hands through me. My pain points, caused by a herniated disc, misaligned hips, and hunched shoulders were all targeted with precision accuracy. At the end of the session Jenia showed us each valuable take-aways of yoga postures and self-massage to help us continue our journey of healing far after our sessions concluded. The tension in my neck and shoulders were completely released and I felt like she took me from feeling like a no-neck platypus to a graceful long-neck swan. It was an enriching experience and I will definitely book with her again should my travels take me into the area.
