I went to the Brighton specialty center today to have a hydrogen breath test performed. It is a procedure that takes approximately two hours. The staff was so inviting and so kind to me. It was a little chilly in the room so I was offered a warm blanket. And then when I was still cold, they gave me another warm blanket. Each time they came into the room, which was every 15 minutes, they always had a smile on their face. When the procedure was over, the nurse was kind to let me know what to expect next and how many days to wait for the results before it would show up on my portal. If you have a procedure to be done, it's worth the drive out to Brighton. I love it every time I come out to this facility. read more

Reception staff at the blood draw were incredibly rude and possibly racist as they were rude about my wife's name because it is foreign. They gave her attitude after she spelled her last name. The same receptionist ignores me when I spell my name so it takes like 3-4 minutes extra before she actually decides to listen to what I'm saying. If I were the u of m I would retrain some of your staff in customer service. The care once you get past reception is great. The physical therapists are amazing and so helpful. The biggest issues are the long wait times made worse by inefficient and rude staff. read more

University of Michigan hospital have theBest doctors in Michigan the facility runs like a clockwork

I have used the services of BCSC for PT, Ophthalmology, Injections, Out patient surgery, etc. Most staff are kind, courteous and caring, however the check-in/check-out staff could use some help. With about 8 stations only 2-3 are ever available and that's if they bother to use the green/red light. No wonder they are sometimes obnoxious even though I use e-checkin and do all I can before arriving! Must give the lab a shoutout though, they are always pleasant and work hard to get all of us 7am patients through the lab quickly! read more

I started receiving chemo infusions here in 2018, for stage 4 colon cancer. I found the staff and nurses to be genuinely concerned for my care, and it was/still is refreshing. Without getting too personal, I will say that the nurses and staff at infusion have helped me get through very difficult moments of my cancer journey, with kindness, patience, knowledge, understanding, and a clear-genuine desire to help me. I've gotten to know many of them over the years and would not trust anyone else with my care the way I trust them. I felt important and valued, and was treated with respect at all times. I never felt like I was just "some random patient". I will be grateful for them until the day I die; yeah that's dramatic but it's very true. read more

Several years ago the University of Michigan Health Systems observed that the Brighton Health Center was getting overcrowded, so it decided to create another facility to hold many of its specialty services (see its website for the exhaustive list). The Brighton Health Center continues to provide primary care - Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynecology - while the Brighton Center for Specialty Care will provide specialty care. The Brighton Center for Specialty Care opened in Sept. '18. My girl's urologist, Dr. Cameron, who had been previously treating her at the main hospital in Ann Arbor and at the Livonia Center for Specialty Care, is now assigned full time to the Brighton site. So today was our first experience at this new building. While our experiences were limited to the Entrance 2 parking lot, lobby, and pre-op and post-op surgical wards (Ambulatory Surgical Center), we were duly impressed. Dr. Cameron, the nurses and aides, and the administrative staff continue to take excellent care of my girl. read more

Extremely disappointed in Dr Jacobson and staff. 8 minutes late to our appt with a two year old and 9 months pregnant- to a pediatric appointment, and they made us reschedule. You'd think a pediatric doctor would understand. Took off work. Had this appt for 5 months. Will absolutely be seeing a new doctor moving forward. read more

I had to visit the Kellogg Eye Center once for a consultation and again for the actual surgery. Both times the staff did a great job enforcing social distancing, masks, and just hygiene in general. I was supposed to come back to Brighton for an H&P beforehand but thankfully I was able to do it remote with a PA. In between visits the staff followed up and communicated well with me and in a timely manner. I work at a hospital too and in comparison this one looks more like a 3 star hotel vs. a 2 star. read more

They leave local doctors in specialty areas ( I'm from Lansing) in the dust. They not only treat people but TEACH you what is the situation and in laymans terms. Why settle for a choice between 3 area doctors when you can drive 2 hours and have 17 doctors you can select from as a patent read more

Caring physical Therapists. Better than going to Ann Arbor.

I would not recommend. I scheduled an office visit. During the visit with Dr. Housner, orthopedics, he recommended an injection for a swollen knee. What no one in the office disclosed is because of the injection they were now billing outpatient services. Everything that would have been covered 100% to me in an office visit was now being charged to me as $546 for outpatient services. When I called customer service to complain they stated by agreeing to the injection I was agreeing to be an outpatient. Not true. Injection would have been covered 100% by my insurance if billed with office visit. When I told the representative that when they collected my $40 copay for an office visit I considered it as their agreement that it was an office visit, the representative became very rude. I am still fighting the bill. U of M is what is wrong with pricing of health care and why it costs so much. read more
