What an awful experience I had at this dental office. I drove to my appointment today and paid my copay. The hygienist was late and I had a busy day. She offered to reschedule me for the next morning and to waive the $50 appointment cancellation fee. However, as soon as I left the office they started messaging me asking me to pay the fee. When I communicated with them about this fee being waived, they refused to honor what the hygienist had told me. When I politely questioned this, they promptly dismissed me as a patient. I am in shock and deeply upset by this whole situation. I will attach our communications as an image, to warn off potential future patients. read more

Terrible practice with very poor communication. My wife had an appointment that she showed up for, but the hygienist was late. Because of being late, the hygienist told her the $50 fee for rescheduling would be waived, and could reschedule her for the next morning, which my wife accepted. The office subsequently tried to charge her $50. When my wife respectfully questioned the charge, she was fired as a patient at the clinic. read more

Not impressed. They were fine for cleanings, but when further dental work was needed and billings came into play it went way down hill. I paid estimates up front and then got additional bills. When I compared with my EOB from the insurance company they actually owed me a refund. When I bought this to their attention they explained it was from what my husband owed. However they could not provide an itemized statement. In fact they said it was against their "policy". And why is my bill being co-mingled with my husband's? It took 2 months to get a partial refund and I'm still waiting for the balance that is going on 5 weeks. I've changed dentists. read more

Avoid this dentist at all cost, their systems are flawed, their dentists are not skilled and you will leave in pain. Not to mention they can't see you twice a year and will cancel appointments last minute. read more

I'm just writing this review so that the next patient doesn't experience some things I went through there. I hope this will help the next person who decides to try and find a great caring office. Okay so there was two incidents I've had at this office which is very unprofessional. 1st thing was I had an appointment for the first time there and Being seen by Dr. Charlotte Milch I was getting my tooth checked out that was hurting me due to food getting stuck in my gum pocket, she came in introduced herself which was good but getting down to explaining things she made me feel like I needed to rush and talk and that I wasn't important so she hurried fixed it and that was it . That was the first thing. 2nd thing was what made me not want to go there ever again! So I had a scheduled appointment to fix my chipped tooth in the front of my mouth which actually took a mother until I could see her which was not cool. So anyways I finally got an appointment 2 days before I called the front office to ask if I could come in earlier due to me having to go to work right well the office girl with the pixie cut was nice at the time said yes no problem then texted me to come in early(I guess they have bad communication between there employees) I wish I got all there names to post but I forgot and my experience was so unpleasant that I didn't. So anyways back to the really unprofessional situation the girl with the short pixie cut said hold on went to talk to someone other person in there who looks like a rude person who's pile skin and black hair I don't know what her position is but the office is so open and quiet that the women starts talking about me infront of everyone saying she's to early no she has to wait who told her that we can't do that why would she think that so I got up while I'm sitting and waiting for the girl with the pixie cut to come over and say I'm sorry we can't do that I said I heard everything you said you two could of pulled me to the side and talked to me but I had proof of the change of appointment and showed her in her face who then said no she'll have to wait another hour and said no I'm not waiting another hour I have to be at work this is why I changed it and whoever in your office said it was okay and sent me a text so mind you I pay for it said I want a refund they said they couldn't so I just said scheduled me a day I'm off then and we'll just keep your money for the next time excuse me wow. Do want to say there is 1 great dental hygienist and the lady who checks you out at the end is very nice but everyone else can't say anything about wasn't to happy and was treated poorly. I hope they really take in my review and fix before they lose more patients because there's 4 other people who won't be going back. They treated my mother bad and also my aunt who went there and one of my church friends husband so just be careful who you chose to be your dentist. read more

The manager is rude, mean and is probably stealing money. I would be careful with getting receipts and keeping them.

No excuses allowed for missed appointment . You better gave them 2 business days of notice or they come down on you for $50.00. Dr. Martinez apparently does not know a cavity from nothing. I almost had a tooth drilled that did not need it. read more

I have been trying to get Dr. Milch to put my implant crown back in. My oral surgeon did the repair she asked him to do, and I was supposed to have the crown put back in after two weeks. I repeatedly called to ask when they could complete the procedure, only to be told they don't have the proper tool and are "trying to find it." It's now been 6 weeks and I have heard nothing! In the meantime, my oral surgeon has figured out a way to put the crown back on for me at his office. I feel like Dr. Milch has forgotten about me, and basically abandoned me in the middle of a tooth repair. I finally gave up calling her office and I am looking for a new dentist. read more

I took my daughter there for the first time. It was an awful experience. I got a text the morning of telling me they switched her to a different dr and time. I went with it. Come to find out, only the dr we originally were scheduled with, was in network. I found this out when I was told I had to pay full price for the cleaning, which was $200! The girl claimed they didn't take Medi Share, only changing her story after I called Medi Share myself and verified. I feel deceived, lied to, not given any kind of payment options, and zero help from the office. We left and didn't get xrays, after that was another $150 plus I was not going to spend there. I do not recommend this awful place to anyone. read more

Avoid avoid avoid. Let's just say my new and improved dentist was shocked at the state of my teeth and the subpar work I endured at Brighwood Dental. For example, I had a small chip in my tooth and was told I must get a crown. She (Dr. Milch) then proceeded to drill my natural tooth way too small and there was not enough structure left for a crown to adhere. After returning to the office over and over and over as the crown would not stay on, which was not only mortifying, but also led to quite a bit of missed work, I was told they could not help me and that I had to see a prostododist to remove part of my gum so there would be enough tooth structure for the crown to adhere to. Luckily I found a reputable, skilled dentist who was able to save the tooth without removing part of my gums. Unfortunately, he has had to redo other crowns I received at Brightwood Dental as well due to the poor quality of the work. I really wish they had not been able to delete my original review (it did not violate Yelp's guidelines) as I just do not have the energy to go into the full details of the nightmare I endured there yet again. read more

I am 60 years old. I have never written a review for a dentist's office ever before. I am a New patient here today and they did a great job with the Covid protocols, X-rays, Yada Yada. The reason I am writing this review is that Susan, the dental hygienist, did a better job cleaning my teeth than anyone in my life. She went back over the areas that weren't polished perfectly (I drink a lot of tea.) moreover, she and Dr Milch explained a LOT about the biology of teeth and how they interact with food and drinks and the chemicals in our own saliva. This will help me keep my natural teeth for as long as I'm alive (Lord willing). I am really grateful to have found them read more

This Dr and this office have been my hands down best experience ever in medicine. It starts when you walk in, Megan at the front desk is always very warm and welcoming, the dental assistants they have there are super professional and at the same time very friendly. Dr Milch is so likable and has great bedside care. Easy going with all the knowledge and professionalism you hope for in someone rooting around in your mouth. I came to this office because my previous dentist wasn't in network, even though I had been there for years. I will say the office and staff are very nice. HOWEVER, the dentist, Dr. Martinez, came in and checked my teeth and everything and told me I had SEVEN cavities and I needed fillings in them all. I go to the dentist every 6 months, so I was shocked about this and in tears but really didn't totally believe it so I went back to my old dentist, damn the costs. He double checked and went over all the places they said I had cavities. He said I can't believe they told you these were cavities because these are stains. He said nothing on your X-rays alert me to anything being emergent or needing fillings. He said there was a small spot on one tooth that we have been watching for the past whole 5 years and it has never changed. He said they were new dentists to me which is probably why they suggested filling it, BUT my thing is, is I let them know 6 months in advance, (because that's how long I waited for this appointment), who my old dentist was and where to get records, they should have been able to get those and see that the same spot hadn't changed in 5 years as well. These people seem to be way too filling happy, wanting that pay out from the insurance. I have since gone back to my old dentist, worth the cost to me at this point. read more

I cannot speak about Dr. Milch, but I saw Dr. Martinez and was not at all impressed. My case is complicated with broken and missing teeth after a car accident. There were several red flags immediately with Dr. Martinez, one being her cold and non-engaging (not to mention non-listening) "bedside manner." After trying to explain my situation and discussing the broken/cracked teeth, Dr. Martinez handed me a mirror and told me to observe the "bone growth" on the back tooth--The same tooth I just explained to her was broke in half. She apparently couldn't differentiate bone from tooth in the X-ray (terrifying) and said she needed to speak to an expert to know how to handle it. (The broken tooth simply needed to be extracted.) I left her office absolutely mind boggled at the terrible advice and later emailed reception (as delicately as possible) telling them I would like to see Dr. Milch for a second opinion. Apparently offended, no one ever even bothered to respond. Although her ego is big enough for both of us, Dr. Martinez's lack of experience and knowledge is terrifying. Dentistry is expensive. Don't trust your money or smile to "Dr." Martinez. read more

I definitely recommend Dr. Milch and Brightwood Dental. I was on vacation here and had an emergency with a broken tooth. Dr. Milch fit me in to her already full schedule and saw me first thing in the morning. She explained her procedure to me well, was professional, gentle, and did an excellent job. She also offered to send my X-rays to my dentist at home. The office staff was also very friendly, prompt and helpful. The office itself has a calming influence with it's contemporary decor in lovely pastel tones. read more

Dr. Milch is the best dentist ever! The Hygienists are great However the front office 2ladies have been rude and even argumentative to me and made me feel like a second class citizen. I don't get a comfortable and welcoming feeling from them, rather they have attitudes, they do not greet you nicely and friendly and they also do not say goodbye or attempt to be friendly and helpful. read more

Dr. Milch and staff are welcoming, competent and helpful. My first appointment was for a cleaning. The hygienist was efficient, friendly and more important did a pain free cleaning followed by X-rays. Dr. Milch completed the exam. The office has a calming atmosphere from start to finish.
