History

Established in 2009.

Inspired by skateboarding art of the early 80′s (most notably the works of David Carson), my career has led me on a 20+ year journey to explore all things design-related. Believing that one of the best paths to enlightenment was to cover as much ground as possible, my travels have led me from the streets of Manhattan at SPIN Magazine to the SUNY New Paltz painting studios nestled amongst the Shawangunk Mountains in New Paltz, NY. Along the way I have explored areas such as graphic design, web design, fashion design, promotional design, editorial design, packaging design, silkscreening, photography, prepress and even motion graphics. I took the road to North Carolina where my talents were successfully put to the test at Port City Java and Sage Island. Like they say... "The destination is home. The journey is the reward." I'm on my way! Brill Branding was founded in 2009 and has since amassed over 100 satisfied clients.

Meet the Business Owner: Tim B.

I believe my varied design background experience truly sets me apart. I've definitely covered a lot of ground! I'm a firm believer in working from the bottom-up and beginning with the end in mind. I "walk the talk" and "practice what I preach". I take responsibility for my actions and if I make a mistake (I am only human), I'm not afraid to admit it and correct it. I strive to find solutions, not faults. I'm reliable, I stay "in the moment", I try to communicate clearly, but most of all - I listen! My mantra - "Think Twice, Design Once" (we all know about revisions, but this hopefully cuts down on them)! I've lived in Wilmington, NC for the last 7 years. I've been with my wife, Yulia (a Russian Princess who is probably the best publication designer on the planet) for the past 15 years and we have a beautiful, spunky 6-year-old daughter Neeka. They are the loves of my life.
