It is family owned so the personnel is always friendly.I liked the girl , who assisted me with cleaning my teeth and enjoyed occasional small talk with the Dr. Other than that would not recommend them if you have pain or sensitivity or any other serious/painful issue in your mouth. Last week brought me great disappointment...., lately my tooth under the crown(the one Dr Miller already filled with smth. couple years ago ) was pretty sensitive.So last cleaning after his assistant took 4 pictures,Mr.Miller told me to make a new appointment for some other filling and on Wednesday drilled few holes into it, but filled those with nothing ... After my question if he had filled it up as initially planned he said there was some silver in it (???)so if before my tooth(or what remained of it under the crown) was just sensitive during brushing,now it hurts to the touch and emits horrible odor .After my attempts to ask what should be my next steps and when should I come back Dr . simply told me :"Bye now". Ok , not a biggie next time I will only come back to obtain copies of my dental records. So , I guess all this NOLI NOCERE does not apply to dentists and now I am looking for someone to document and correct the issue. Also , I remember asking Dr Miller about my kids and when should they first see the dentist and he told me , that until certain age (I do not recall the exact number) there is no real need for it and my wife had to take my kids to Pocatello to kid's dental clinic.We all have dental insurance through my employer , so why not to bill them twice a year and save us a trip and give us peace of mind ? Guess they do not care about attracting and retaining new customers anymore.The lack of competition is a huge blessing in this town. New dentist is very young and honest about still training to do certain things,his receptionist is very nice and facility looks neat , however it might take him a while to build up the successful practice in our town , I believe he can do it with some hand outs and competitive pricing , but until then Mr.Miller can be sure , there is no much competition within the reasonable distance and not much motivation to make an extra effort. P.S. My new dentist informed me , that while drilling under my crown Mr. Miller damaged the neighboring perfectly healthy tooth and it had to be filled and I was charged for this too.So next time when you do not want to drive too far to get a better service, think what do you really save ?

I also get many calls from their office asking to come in for an appointment for different things THAT I DON'T EVEN HAVE!!! Better yet, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. (They even have weighted blankets...goodbye anxiety!). Communication here is great as well--they make sure you thoroughly understand what is needed/going to be done, and they don't push any unnecessary treatments on you. They never make you feel bad for any additional requests to accommodate any needs you have, and it is the least stressed I've been at a dentist office. Anyone looking for a new dentist will find a great one here! Full disclosure: I go to their office in Idaho Falls but felt I should comment on their Blackfoot office as well since it's the same staff.

My 9 year old boy and 7 year old girl had a great visit. My 4 year old girl was apprehensive about what was going to happen. All of the staff was so good to her and Dr French was very patient. She definitely liked it, because she frequently asks when we can go back. I would highly recommend Dr French! He really does care and even called to make sure my daughter was ok after having a lot of dental work done!

He administered novacaine with very little pain which included "roof shots". I am amazed since I had dreaded the injections almost more than anything else. The extractions took very little time. Throughout the procedure, the staff offered support and advice on the healing of my gums and follow up care. They also shared that I would need adjustments to my upper denture and not to hesitate coming in for that. I've gone in once and was pleasantly surprised and grateful for the adjustments made to the upper denture by another dentist in the office. Wow! However, when I tried to explain to the hygienist past billing problems I've encountered (Nov 2024 being the latest) after my last two visits, the hygienist became upset and refused to provide the cleaning. She sent Dr. Marlow in to deliver that news. I explained my concern to him as I did to the hygienist. He said, "That's not how the message was conveyed." Consequently, rather than providing the service promised, I left w/out getting a cleaning. Of note: I informed the office staff about my billing concerns prior to agreeing to an appointment. I tried to communicate clearly my expectations regarding billing so that neither PVD nor I would later have an issue w/ the billing. If booking a patient and then refusing to provide care is the standard this troubled practice has adopted, those looking for a professional practice should choose a different one.
