I showed her a photo which gave a clear direction of what I wanted. She looked at the photo for a moment and then proceeded to cut my hair. It was badly cut and then after an argument with another client started to perm my hair. Her work is very poor and I cannot do anything with it. I am very disappointed with her work and would not recommend her to anyone.

Eyelash extensions are definitely the new in thing. I personally have not had Lash Me do my lashes but on talking to the lady there she was very friendly and helpful, she helped explain about the infills which are needed anywhere between (approx) 4-6 weeks - depending on the after care and how you treat your lashes. Open room with wooden floors and they are looking to add in more beauty services in the near future.

I rebooked at the time of having…read morethem done only to cancel it the minute my eyes stopped burning (3 days later) and I was able to see the damage done to my natural lashes. My eyelashes were so clumpy (I think they used a few tubes of glue per lash!) it looked like I had used 10 year old mascara, and like I said my left eye literally burned and watered non stop for for 3 days! Not something I would expect from a salon that is meant to specialise in lash extensions! I have had two sessions (infills) at another Brisbane Salon located at New Farm, and I haven't looked back, it is actually nice to have your lahes done without your eyes feeling like they are going to burst into flames, plus the damage done to my lashes (i.e. left with bald spots... great look!) is finally starting to grow back / repair. I want to warn other ladies... do your research! Just because they say they specialise in lashes, doesn't mean they are any good at doing it, learn from my mistake! I won't risk ever going back there or recommending the Fortitude Valley salon to anyone.

Brooklyn is definitely not the cheapest place in town, but their facilities are simple and clean, and has the interiors of a Brooklyn loft. The place also wasn't overwhelmingly musty with the smell of incense or air freshener, which was a huge plus for this allergy-prone customer. The girls there are super friendly, quick at their job, and have the cutest outfits complete with a bow tie. Love it!

There are few things in life that can make a gal feel like a classier broad than red lipstick, a fresh manicure, heels and a blow dry. On a whim, I stopped in to the newly-opened Brooklyn Beauty Bar and asked if they'd have time to squeeze me in for a shellac mani. (Note to self: plan these things in advance). They could and within 45mins I was out the door with nails not tallons and sporting a glossy mushroom coloured shellac. There was no awkward small talk between my nail technician and I - my kind of experience. The fit out of Brooklyn Beauty Bar makes you feel like you've possibly walked into a super cool lounge bar where a suitably Don Draper-esque waiter will serve you a dirty Manhattan. The girls have done a great job and I've already booked for a return visit!
