High on the Colorado Plateau you'll find this gorgeous lake. It's at an elevation of about 8,400…read morefeet so it's the perfect summer escape from the heat. I come here at least twice a year during the summer months and I love how small the community is. Everyone knows each other. The lake itself is a substantial size covering about 1,300 acres. There are cabins on the lake and above in the surrounding hills. There's also a little market in town and just a few restaurants. Plan accordingly and bring what you need if you plan on staying for a few days. The location is also awesome because it's near one of my favorite hiking spots, Cedar Breaks and close to Zion & Bryce Canyon. The lake is surrounded by forest. It's so beautiful. Most folks visit to fish as you can find rainbow, cutthroat, brown, and brook trout. You can also canoe or kayak around the lake. ATV's are all around as that's how most people get around and there are hundreds of miles of trails to explore. It feels like you're very far from everything...

There are a lot of campgrounds and nice cabins that make the over-nite trip enjoyable. Also, a nice general store and many restaurants near the lake. It's worth the drive for bordering states fishermen.

This is the place to go, but unfortunately, this time they were closed. Hopefully, they are opened…read moreup next season because the owners really do care about the customers' experience in every witch way.

My family and I have rented boats from this business for at least a decade. Our yearly Father's Day…read moretradition included getting a boat from Dave at Rocky Point, the kids catching fish, camping...such a magical time for us, making memories that last a lifetime. This year everything changed. A trip that we looked forward to for a whole year was ruined, purely because of Rocky Point Boat Dock. We reserved a pontoon boat for $170 a day, $95 for a half day. When they pulled the boat up to us for us to get on, we actually thought it was a joke. This boat looked like it was neglected for years. Ripped seats, spider webs, the floor boards rotting with sharp pieces of wood sticking up. It was awful...but..they said there weren't any other boats available, so we got on and we're convinced we would have a good time. After 2 hours on the lake, the boat died. Wouldn't start (not to mention it never would go into reverse) We had to get towed back to the dock. They told us the boat needed a new motor and would be down for the rest of the weekend. My kids were broken hearted and in tears. They also told us they were aware the boat didn't work in reverse! (But never told us that) As we were KINDLY asking for possibly a new boat, a refund, something...the owners wife yelled at us and told us to stop complaining , stop stressing her out, and she actually told me to shut up. She did this in front of my young kids! On a Father's Day trip with their dad and grandpa! Now we were left without a boat for the remaining 3 days of our trip. The owner Dave, who over the years had become a family friend, wouldn't even look us in the eye, apologize, nothing! It was very sad to see a business that used to be so friendly and such a positive experience, decline completely. I'm all about supporting family businesses, but I just can't support Rocky Point anymore. They will lose a lot of our referral business as well. To sum it up..Bad customer service, dilapidated boats that don't work, and no empathy for ruining our trip. Stay away if you can.

He is very knowledgeable about the area and he is a great leader of the pack! He led us through some great trails from our Glass Creek Campground past Crowley Lake with a fun lunch stop at Tom's Place. From there we trekked up to a 10,000 foot summit where we had the most awesome view ever! It was a great tour and Frank is a great tour guide. We met great people and had an awesome day of riding. It doesn't get much better than that. We highly recommend trying any of Frank's tours, because we are sure that they are all of the same caliber. We had such a great day that we are now getting a group together to try the Grand Canyon tour that FATCO puts on. It sounds like a great adventure and listening to Frank he is has great connections and routes that will make it so much better than ever trying to do it on our own. Mike and Jackie
