The Pa'rus (Paiute for bubbling water ) Trail follows the Virgin River and so it's pretty flat. The trail is paved and so if you have wheels (as in bike, wheel chair, walker, etc) or have a dog, this is the trail for you! The view of the river is beautiful, and gorgeous views of the Watchman. There is some shade from the vegetation lining the riverbanks, and I feel like that the temperature is cooler due to the water nearby, although this might be placebo. I didn't see many people on this trail, probably because it's underrated. Occasionally, there are information panels alongside the trail, which discuss ecology, geology, and human history. Great for learning!

It's definitely been a great experience for our dogs. It's nice that they provide poop bags and have a trash can to toss them in. Also, they have put in water for the dogs to drink, just bring a bowl. The reasons I am only giving 4 stars are because there are some people who can't comprehend that they NEED to control their dogs! If your dogs is being aggressive or constantly trying to hump other dogs, YOU need to control YOUR dog! Also, when your dogs poop, CLEAN IT UP!!!! There are baggies and a garbage to toss it in... take care of it!!!

The Coral Pink Sand Dunes are beautiful and vast-although they are not quite as coral pink as I had imagined. When you visit, you can opt to rent an ATV or a sled and play in the sand like a toddler. I didn't do that during my visit, but I think I might give it a try another time. Be prepared for hot sand in the summer months and wind, which means potential sand in your eyes. Goggles might be a worthy accessory if you're going to spend more than a few minutes out here.

A million years ago when I was in high school, I broke up with my boyfriend at this park. It was a…read moresad day, but I've had many great memories there since then (and even made amends with the boyfriend and we are on good terms now). Anyway, this park has been around forever and whether your memories are of the lush, green grassy areas or the adjacent recreational equipment, you probably have a story of your own. Hopefully there are more happy memories than sad ones like mine. Because it's centrally located and a large size, there are lots of markets or community events that are held here. There is a parking lot nearby as well as ample street parking. It's a great space to bring the St. George and surrounding community together.

Then there is a pavilion you can go eat under at a picnic table or take a huge blanket to enjoy your food on the grass close to the park while the children play. There is a farmer market every Saturday. The hours for summer are 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (noon) MDT until October. Winter hours are from November to April 10 am - 2 pm. Closed the last 2 weeks of December and all of January for winter break. This park is huge, plenty of space for big or small families to congregate too. Area to play pickle ball, run, shade to relax, walk with your fur baby on a leash, walk along the pathway with your signing other (you get the idea), safe enough to walk by yourself too and plenty of space to set up family outdoor games. Bathrooms, drinking fountains, and plenty of parking. Parking, little side rant. If you are parking on a Saturday when the area is busy, then it sucks finding a spot. The vehicles start parking at entrances/exits, then it turns into a one-way battle of who is turning around. In my opinion, parking should not be allowed in those narrow entrances/exits. Otherwise, it is FUN, FUN, FUN... and next door to rodeo grounds, too.

The park is super cute and quiet but the dog section feels a little forgotten. It's quiet. I feel like if the city was to put a little more effort into its upkeep and take better care of the grass in the parks, maybe more people would come and use it. It's very nicely oriented with big trees for shade and nice benches. We need more good doggie parks in town. We just need to have a little more love and effort shown to the two we do have so people feel like they can come and it's a nice space to use.

Beautiful. More than I thought it would be. So many people have told us to go over the decades…read moreknowing we love to hike and every summer we hit a national park. But somehow we shy away from Bryce because we didn't think there was much to do, is it worth? Is it worth the detour? But this year we tried it out. My cousin and many others' favorite park and we never understood until now. Wow wow wow. We didn't think it could get more grand as we kept walking and riding to difference scenic points but it did lol We stayed in St George and drove out early to get here thinking it may be like Zion with no parking but I think on a weekday it would have been ok if we didn't set out so early. Nevertheless i think it was good because it did get hot later however this morning there was a nice breeze and made hiking bearable at 10am. We knew we wanted to hike down and heard Sunset point was the way to go. Actually whatever they suggested in our error we did the opposite and thank God we did because the hike back up was perfect lol if we had to hike up where we went down like so many others not sure how pretty that would have been in the heat. Because many were suffering hiking up while we were going down. So note to remember it's ok to pass sunrise point and go down the other way and come back up that part ~ much easier route and so beautiful still! Check out my pics And pictures do not do justice at all! I do want to mention if possible after lunch or when it gets hot to stop by those scenic points way down there because it keeps getting better and my fave is Bryce point lol gorgeous! A good tip is to bring picnic lunch or take a break back at the General Store. We went there multiple times in and out and between for souvenirs and refreshments. I love how this park has easy access to toilets and stuff. Spotty WiFi into the center of the hikes and climbs BUT still so clean and accessible by car. If we had more time and it was cooler we could hike down Bryce point area but this time it will do with that couple hour hike down sunset point. That was a nice leisure hike and challenge ~ shoes get dusty. Sticks are welcomed but not necessary. Hungry chipmunks do beg for food lol Just amazing views and beautiful arches, canyons and pics! This place is so amazing. I drove to Rainbow Point (great views on the way and at the end for those…read morewho don't want to hike) as well as the Figure-8 Combination hike, which combines three amphitheater hikes, Queen's Garden, Navajo Loop, and the Peekaboo Loop. Wall Street was closed when I visited due to trail conditions, boo. It was a clear and perfect two days during my visit though. Most people visit for the hoodoos, but Bryce Canyon National Park also has International Dark Sky status. Its high elevation, clean air, and remote location equals some of the darkest skies in the country. Coincidentally, I went during a new Moon with clear skies and wow, I had never seen so many stars before. I brought binoculars and it was enough to see what felt like like thousands upon thousands of stars. I saw the Milky Way Galaxy too! It was amazing, and I felt like such a small speck of dust in comparison to the skies above. Definitely check out Bryce Canyon at night, although it was also kind of...different... to be driving in the middle of the dark. If you have bad night vision you might want to pass on this. It made me realize how much light pollution there is where I live.

This is a paved Trail that runs parallel to Washington Parkway on the south and crosses over to…read moreSienna Hills subdivision. It's runs behind houses and through the backside of a large wash and past Sienna Hills Park. It's nice because you can see all sorts of wildlife. Being paved or concrete in some areas you can always make the trek without worry of the elements. We see Cottontail Rabbits, Desert Fox, Quail, Lizards and many bird species. It's really wide (10-15') so people can pass each other walking or riding bikes. This trail also merged into other trails throughout this area. You can even go under the freeway and merge into the Red Cliffs Reserve Trail system. It's great for small families so they don't have to be exposed to traffic. Dogs are allowed, but please pickup after them and keep them on a leash.
