He didn't have a tape measure with him and he wasn't measuring anything, which was the most critical aspect of the job. He also didn't know the difference between the dryer and the washing machine. He also made me do all the work of moving the dryer I felt very uncomfortable with him in my home, and I was about to call 911 because he was directly in my face and wouldn't leave when asked to.

Upon paying our bill, they jacked up the price $1000. $2400 for taking longer than they expected. Remember, they quoted the JOB, and gave us absolutely no time limit. No one said anything throughout the entire process that the bill would increase. When we talked to tech about it, he claimed his internet wasn't working properly and that's why we didn't receive notification. So we paid the bill and then asked Thumbtack to help us with the situation. (--- In retrospect, we should not have paid it!) 2. The work was done incorrectly! The new electrical work was wired completely wrong which created a short, plus they left a hole in the side of the box that left live wires out to the open. The trench he dug to run the wire to the pool was 2-4 inches deep when the code says 18 inches! Then he left the pool pump running dry for hours because he didn't understand how pool pumps work. There's NO WAY they have an electrical license, they had no idea what they were doing. 3. As if this wasn't enough, they "accidently" took the headlamp we lent them, and claimed to send us a new one, which has never arrived. Thumbtack has kicked them off their listing service and has been unable to contact them to mediate. Over a month later and the electrical system STILL doesn't work right, I'm out a headlamp, the trench is not to code and I'm still waiting on thumbtack to finish processing my refund. Paradise Gutters thru his representative Larry Larson requested a 25% down payment from me on same day, which was paid thru Mr. Lardon's PayPal account as a family and friends payment because, as stated by Mr. Larson, he could the funds immediately and could use them to buy the materials. However, he failed to mention that business payments made as friends and family are no guarantee by PayPal. Mr. Larson said that he needed about two weeks to secure the materials needed to do the work, but he never came back. Then, Mr. Larson said the he had a family emergency, that his father in law was sick, and he had to go out of town, and that he had no cellular signal. After calling multiple times and leaving numerous messages, I finally received a call from Mr. Larson, he told me that he was going to do the work the following week. The week past and Paradise Gutters never came or called about the job. At this point, I strongly believe this person and business are dishonest, and would like to warn other people about the deceiving business practices of Paradise Gutters and it's representative Larry Larson.

Amendment to previous review:…read more After contacting them regarding my 7" long grass (the day after a service call) and complaining about the blobs of grass clippings laying in flower beds and on the lawn itself I was told that it was too expensive to remediate the problem before their next service call. Also, that my grass was too long to cut (they have been taking care of it for some time), that they blow all of the grass clippings away (including, apparently, some previously unknown to me rocks), and that it was too expensive to come back before their next scheduled service call. When I pointed out that my grass was too long because they weren't cutting it I was told that they had been using a weed eater because their mower did not fit into the space. I asked how they might resolve the problem going forward and was told that they would bring their push mower next time. This was the final straw in what had become a continuously degrading situation with both quality of work, communication, and billing. (I have never received an invoice or even text reminding me to pay them, I just Venmo when I am was aware that they had come.) They seem like decent enough guys but their lack of professionalism and poor quality results have forced me to look elsewhere.
