If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Absolutely horrible experience. We arrived around 10:30 am on a Wednesday. There was no one else in the restaurant. The two ladies working seemed like they didn't want to be there. They acted like we weren't customers and they didn't need to serve us. They acted like we were some sort of burden to them. We were seated and then they never came back. We were seated in the bar area and they were standing at the bar chatting so loudly we could hear their entire conversation about their lives and how miserable they were. We had to ask for coffee. It took forever to come. We had to tell them we were ready to order because it seemed like they didn't want to take our order. I ordered the chicken and waffle. It was disgusting. Zero flavor. I don't even know how that is possible. I added salt and it still was tasteless. My husband ordered the coconut French toast. He liked it. But it looked like it was on very thin sandwich bread. My mom ordered the breakfast sandwich. It had no flavor and it was cold. The potatoes were cold and dry. Would absolutely never come back here and would not recommend to anyone. read more

Was not asked how I wanted the eggs poached. Not even close to runny. Hollandaise sauce. ... maybe a teaspoon on top of egg. Not enough to moisten the English muffin. Potato was crispy and delicious. I was searching for a good seafood chowder within walking distance of the cruise port. I chose Britt's, and I was glad I did. The Maritime chowder was fantastic. We had a fantastic server here, but we never did catch her name. We were knocked over by the fishcakes! My wife and I have never had anything like this before and they were absolutely amazing. I had the Ultimate Poutine, but I didn't know what hashbrowns were in Canada, and they weren't what I was expecting. But overall, the dish was pretty good. Great looking place, interesting art work on the walls and windows, nice staff and a very interesting menu. The portions were a lot larger than expected and were delicious. The Chicken Waffle Poutine with Sriracha mayo, and maple syrup was amazing. The Chicken Waffle Benedict with Home Fries was also very very good. food was good as usual but we hade very awful service it took 20+ minuets for us to get out bill because our server decide to completely ignore us to talk to other people continued to walk by us noticeably not eating and just waiting and on too of that sat us in the noise part of the entire restaurant between two 8+ people parties even though most of the restaurant was empty. I wish I could something like that where I live, I would order it all the time ! We also enjoyed the local Yip Cranberry cider that was in season. It all explodes in layers and hits you wave by wave of absolute pure joy and then some that sends a thrill down the back of your spine. It stands by its name The SMOKEhouse because it's just that - Smokingly Hot and delicious in every bite . This rugged handsome burger had all the rustic charms of a sexy delectable sandwhich. The bacon on top the mysterious chipotle mayo sauce squeezed right in with the jalapeño crisp and onions . Unexpectedly there was also a sweetness the sneaked in there pairing well with the saltiness of the bacon and smoked Gouda . A Must Have !!! The Steak was good, however not what I had expected when I ordered it . It was relatively thin and almost tough the herbed butter definitely lent a hand with the flavour . The side of veggies were well seasoned , Mashed potatoes had a good creamy texture with the perfect ratio of chunks. Britt's is a spacious pub tucked away on a side street in downtown Saint John's. The pub has a back patio and plenty of indoor seating as well. The entrance is less visible than some of its competitors on the street, so make sure not to walk by it. The big draw for us was the rotating draught beers, which covered a lot of New Brunswick breweries. On Tuesdays they have a deal where the draught beers are an impressive CA$5, which we couldn't pass up. We also got chowder and a lobster roll and were impressed with both of them. The chowder was perfect and has a generous amount of seafood, and while there wasn't a ton of lobster in my lobster roll what was there was tasty. read more

So I am not sure what happened, but we ordered take out and it was an hour late. Literally my husband waited close to an hour after the time we were told. Our little one was fast asleep in the hotel room before the food came to her. And it looked like #$%. And no compensation. Sorry, If you are an hour late you should as a manager offer half off or a dish off or SOMETHING off. Flavour was good though. It probably would have been better if it was hot. While looking at restaurants to dine at in Saint John, Britt's Pub & Eatery was recommended on so many websites that we had to make it our first stop upon landing. Came here for weekend brunch and was seated in the cozy patio in the back. The hubby got fish tacos while I got the crab cake benedict. He said the fish tacos here were the best he's eaten during our whole trip, and that was his go-to dish the whole time! I enjoyed my eggs benny as well, with the crisp crab cakes and the even crispier potatoes on the side. If we're ever back, we'll make sure to stop by here again! read more

I had supper this evening at Britt's Pub & Eatery. I tried to eat there on Monday and last night but it was too busy so last night I made a reservation for this evening. The name was inspired by Saint John artist Miller Brittain, whose art studio sat two floors above the pub in the 1930s. In addition, two of the owners are born and bred Brits. I ordered Butter Chicken (minus the cucumber). There was a lot of chicken and it was good. The sauce was good too but there was too much of it as it covered everything. It would have been better to have the sauce covering the chicken but not the rice as it overpowered the dish. The naan was nice for dipping. Scotty was my server.
