Some of the first questions asked to us were around immunisations, vet registrations and any special requirements of the animals (paired cages, medicines, diet etc...). The inital atmosphere was very impressive aswell, a small smell of cat could be detected (as would be expected at any cattery) but there was no overwhelming odour (we had smelt elsewhere) showing cleanliness was also a high priority here. Being shown a "room" was useful, a litter tray, bedding area and natural scatch post (log or thick branch) were present in every room with a good outdoor covered area. In between each room is a wall of clear perspex allowing the cats to see each other but stop any sneezes (feline flu) or altercations from ruining your pet's stay. Dropping the cat off was quick and painless, a hand over of cash (no card facilities) with the cat and her food, a quick check of her immunology records and we were off, albeit slowly and with a touch of guilt. 10 days later and we returned to find a happy, well cared for cat, we were advised she hadnt eaten much during the last 2 days and the staff thought this may have been a touch of gingivitus (they have a good base knowledge of behaviours and what to watch) turns out she was actually having a hunger protest and wanted to go home, guilt treats were devoured in seconds of letting her out her carrier. All in all a very happy customer, willing to both return and recommend to anyone needing a good cattery with high standards staffed by people who genuinely seem to care for their residents

The bloke that runs it is very helpful and is happy to order in anything for you that he doesn't currently carry in stock. I asked about the Nature Diet brand of wet dog food that our dogs prefer and he was happy to order in and sell me a box. A 15Kg breeders pack of dry dog food, which he did have in stock, was £11, which is very competitive when compared against the expense and hassle of driving out to a retail park and visiting a larger store, where you might get it for a pound or so cheaper. The last time I went in to the shop they were having issues with their phone line, so if you ring the number it might be dead, but the shop is very much alive and well worth a visit if you have dogs, cats or other super furry animals.

The staff are also friendly and very helpful, when I was waiting to be served the chap behind the counter was giving another customer some advice on food and medication for her dog - something about giving it before or after or with food, so they obviously know what they are talking about. The prices are also reasonable although I have been to cheaper pet stores, but it is not as expensive as some of the chains. Overall, I think this is a good store and would recommend it if you live locally and you have a pet!

We had to go this week with our much loved elderly bad tempered old cat. we were thinking it was the end of the line for her as she had become very ill. Not the easiest cat to treat she spits and growls like a champion, however undeterred they worked their magic on her. They also have a lot of advice and information displayed, which is handy if you need help with your pet's requirements. The staff are quite friendly in here, if not a little quiet. I found what I needed quite easily when I went in, which was some cat biscuits and so there was no need for me to ask for any assistance. They also had a few bits and bobs stocked outside such as dog treats, which was nice and also sensible as they really are bursting at the seams inside. Overall, it is a great little pet shop!

I freaked out and ran down to the pet centre to ask for help on this unpleasant issue. The staff were friendly and did not try to oversell products in an attempt to increase their profit margins. I was sold a spray, a flea comb and a solution to rub into my kitten's skin and fur. Two days later and my kitten is flea free. Thank You Kings Heath Pet Centre. They also have goods for all types of pets and animals, ranging from dogs to your more exotic pets. It is also a great place to bring the kids if you have any. The Cockatoo is one of my main reasons for coming here on un-cat related issues. He/She will quite happily mimic your words if you don't mind looking a little bit silly in front of the other customers. Kings Heath Pet Centre also sells your regular supplies such as litter and food pouches. Their prices are competitive with the larger supermarkets that have the pleasure in buying in vast stock quantities. If you own a pet and live in the vicinity, then Kings Heath Pet Centre is the place for you.

There is a wide range of products for each type of pet, all of my cat and guinea pig needs were well catered for. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable. My main reason for visiting the pet centre was always to see the cute animals, especially the furry little bunny rabbits! *Awww* So cute! There is always a large parrot who occasionally gives people a fright but suddenly squawking or flapping his wings as you go past. Any excuse to go in and I'm there!

I am always happy with the service I get here and once when I purchased something large and heavy it was brought to my car by a member of staff. I really like the newer range of dog toys and clothes (although I will only put a waterproof coat on my dog, they are still cute to look at!) they also do some lovely girlie leads and collars. Was in the store today and noticed they did some agility equipment which I have not seen before and bought a hoop and a jump at £9.99 each as I was very impressed with the price! I have used them with my cat a number of times and had him neutured and vaccinated as a kitten. When I first got him they de-flead him for me and gave me what was left of the spray in the bottle and took the time to show me how best to apply it. The level of customer service is great, they operate as an off-shoot of the Wellington branch so ops are performed there but you can drop your pet into the Shifnal branch and pick them back up from there too. Competitively priced for electronic chipping too.
