Three years ago…read morewhen we first moved to our place, there was an incident where someonesomeone was trying to get in our backyard while we weren't home. When he got hime, my husband called the police department. They came quickly and walked through the house with him just to be sure no one was there and were so helpful. Just today a really nice police officer helped us when we went to recover my son's stolen AirPods using the Find My app. The dispatcher on the non emergency number told me exactly what I needed to do, and the officer was so kind both to us and for the situation. We were very pleased to get the AirPods back without any confrontation or issue,.

I ask for when he's working next and they "don't have a schedule". I've reached out through email to the officer directly, and have waited weeks for a response or update. Also, when providing the case no., the person is unable to pull anything up, when it was the case number provided on the card from the officer and also provided by the PD when I called days after the incident. People here need to be trained, seriously. These are serious matters at hand and they treat everything so lightly, disregarding the severity of the matter. Talk about laziness.

There's nothing like the disbelief of walking out of Lucky Food Store in San Bruno pushing a full basket of groceries to discover your Honda Accord was stolen while you were inside. It was my daily beater to drive back and forth work, nothing special, a 1990 Honda Accord for crying out loud, albeit in immaculate shape and still looked like it was new, it was 22 years old with over a 100K miles! Who in the hell rips off a 22 year old four door "has been" soccer mom rice burner sedan??? WTF? Pissed off didn't even begin to describe my feelings when I realized it was in fact gone. In my mind I thought maybe I had been towed or something and after being assured by everyone in a manager's uniform that they didn't tow my car I called the police. Literally two minutes after I called a familiar Black and White pulls up. The cop gets out and says "Honda, Acura or Beemer", I said Honda and he then explained to me that most Hondas can be opened and started with any Honda key by simply wiggling them in the locks. He also accurately deduced I didn't have a club style steering wheel lock. I was starting to feel like a dumbass for a couple of reasons. One for not having a club and two for driving a friggin Honda. The reason for this review was just how cool this cop was. After taking the report, I pushed my basket of groceries back inside and the manager said they would keep it safe till I got back. Seeing me walking across the parking lot heading home to get my other car he pulled up and asked me if I need a ride to my house in San Bruno. Along the way he said "Don't worry, it'll turn up abandoned somewhere or we'll pull them over. Honda thieves can't drive for shit and tend to freak out when the police get anywhere near them". I just thought he was trying to make feel better and said "Thanks" when I got out. Personally I never thought I would see the car again. It wasn't a major loss. Grand worth was about $2K I guess. No biggie in the overall scheme of life. Fast forward to 1:30 am that night, phone rings and the San Bruno Police is on the line "We have your car pulled over here in Tanforan, this guy claims you loaned your car to him" After establishing that I didn't know this guy, he said "If you want to come get it, I can hold it till you get here" (different cop). I explained it would take me about 15-20 minutes and they said "no problem". When I asked them how they found it, I just had to smile when the police officer said, "this guy saw me coming and made a hard right from the far left lane with no signal on Sneath running a red, so I stopped him". Apparently the officer from earlier was dead on the money when he said Honda thieves are bad drivers and freak out when they see the police. FYI, I did try the key wiggle maneuver after I got it back and sure as hell, no matter what Honda key I used, I could "wiggle open and start it". Needless to say, I have a Club now LOL. Thanks San Bruno PD for all the help.

Twice now Officer C. Anisho has ticketed me back to back days, May 13th and 14th. The space between the street and the front of my bumper is exactly 2' (two feet), but yet i was ticketed for $50 twice. I've literally been parking in my own driveway with my truck for the past 3 years and only once before was i harassed. Not even the common courtesy to knock on my door when they could see me through the window that i was home. What an absolute joke that "code enforcement" such as this is a priority to the city of San Bruno, when why don't they focus on more impending issues? Like the homeless vagrants who live in Forest Lane Park or underneath the 380 overpass between my neighborhood and Tanforan. Or maybe even the transient trash that comes off of Bart and walks our neighborhoods and streets. Nope let's go around and harass our good citizens. I could completely understand if, indeed my truck was somehow impeding the public walkways, but literally 2' of clearance to walk in front of my truck while it's parked in my personal driveway is absurd. I'm happy to see my tax dollars at work. This is harassment and i will not stand for it!

I'm disabled, and I had fallen off my stationary bike and it fell on top of me. Unfortunately, I didn't have my phone to call anyone. Anyway, Corporal Will Smith and the rest of the group that came to rescue me, were amazing. They were very caring the whole way through. Corporal Will Smith gave me a pillow and made sure I was comfortable until the rest of them came. There was no way he could've got me up by himself, as I'm a very heavy person. Anyway, bravo.

Not only that, there was absolutely no indication of any event in the works. Can't you put up something to let people know something is about to happen? These signs looked like someone had forgotten to take them down from a previous event. See my review of Miller &O'Brien Towing. it's a system designed to gouge the innocent. They know just how to rob people because they work with criminals. Anyone with any decency would not want to associate with these folks, who seem unmatched in their incompetence. We stood in the cold waiting for them to figure out where our car was...then made us wait 45 minutes while they tried to complete the actual paperwork meanwhile the two useless clown faced twits in the office pointed fingers and giggled at us; then we had to call 2 Lyft rides ...when they could have given us a ride to the tow lot. I might feel pity for you if you and your cohorts hadn't squeezed $768.00 from us; for what? Because we're nice people? I guess. And because you're not.

It looked hopeless the family and friends of these poor souls would ever find justice. We did speak with an officer and were treated kindly and respectfully. Law enforcement has a tough job. Three thug types were trying to break into the gate and potentially house while i lli was sound asleep! i don't know what caused me to wake up bc there wasn't any noise, but when i did i knew immediately something was wrong and looked at the camera and saw them out there. i turned all the lights on and called 911. About 10-15 cops showed up within minutes and were right away making sure everything was safe and that these guys weren't hanging around nearby. Two officers came up to talk to me and tried to calm me down bc i was really freaked out by all this. They were super kind and helpful and gave great advice on what the owner of the house i'm renting should do to secure it and reassured me that if these thugs came back they would have a hard time getting into the house AND to keep my phone next to me and call right away if they came back. Cops have really tough jobs and these days little respect. Especially living in a city like SF where they favor criminals and police have to deal with so much politics and BS just to be able to do their jobs. Their jobs are to protect us! The leaders of this city sadly want to make that hard for them. That is super sad. They came to my aid in literally less than five mins, probably more like 2 or 3 mins and likely prevented the situation from escalating into something far worse! I love the officers at Taraval station and they've always taken good care of us. i will for sure miss them when i move in a few weeks, and hope that in my new home i don't have to call the police as much as i've had to while living here in Sf, specially the last few years. Thank you SFPD, and especially all of my favorite Taraval Station officers! you're the best!

I can see why…read morebecause most of my experiences of calling 311 or their non emergency number 415-553-0123 for help is similar to the ONE star lone review from 8 years ago, not helpful. On 6/17/24, I called for help after vandals have damaged the exterior gate to my elderly parents' home for the third time. As usual, the dispatcher told me all of the officers were busy and would come out whenever they have time without timeline. I have heard this so many times and don't have faith anyone will come. After all, this is San Francisco. Crimes are so rampant police officers probably have more urgency calls, numb, or no bandwidth to deal with the crime loads. We got lucky this evening! Officer Singh responded. He was patient, courteous and helped my 86 years old dad to file a police report with his broken English first time ever in his life. Officer Singh educated my dad not to fear calling 911 due to the language barrier. Calling his daughter an hour away is not helpful in emergency situation this. He assured my dad there will be translator there to assist if he calls. After reviewing from the camera footage, I could see officer Singh leaned forward and treated my poorly dressed dad with kindness and respect. It is his demeanor, my dad open up to tell him his multiple previous vandalism experiences. It's with his assurance, my parents can have a bit more peace at night when they go to bed. Shout out to officer Singh at the SF Mission Police Station!! May God continues to bless good police officers like him and keeping them safe from harm.
