I found the perfect wallet, with the help of one of the sales ladies. I had already maxed out my shopping budget for my trip, otherwise I would have bought more items. The items in store are very expensive, so come prepared. My new Bison wallet was $89. Its really durable and I use it everyday, so definitely worth the purchase. Only 4 stars because I felt pressured to buy something by the sales ladies. They are very aggressive, especially during the check out process. Anyway, Im glad I stopped in on my adventure through Hill City, SD.

Things That Rock is a cute little shop specializing in... Rocks! It is right across from the Alpine…read moreInn in Hill City, so it's a good spot to kill time if you are waiting for a table. Outside they have bins with larger rocks that you can purchase by the pound. We bought several pieces of petrified wood, just because they were neat. Inside are smaller rocks and rock accessories. My daughters in particular loved the make your own jewelry area. You can select a polished stone, a metal cage to hold it and different types of chains and cords. The necklaces they made look pretty nice and are a couple of their favorite souvenirs from our trip. The ladies working in the shop were very friendly and helpful. It sounds like they gather some of the rocks themselves which is pretty cool. We mainly stuck to national parks during our trip and they don't really like people taking their rocks, so it was fun to buy some cool ones to take home.

I talked to Stacey a few times to ensure that all was set. We had a 12:00 pm shuttle time from Hill City to Deadwood. We arrived at the shop at about 11:30 and tried the door but they did not appear to be open. This was on a Tuesday! I called Stacey who assured me that the driver was on the way and would be there no later than 12:15 pm. I gave her a call at 12:21 pm and did not reach her. I asked her to call me back. Never did get a call back. We waited till 12:30 pm and decided to create our own ride. The ride was GREAT! We rode from Hill City to a couple of miles past the Rochford Trailhead and then back. We would've liked to have done the Deadwood section. Maybe next time. I just know that we won't be using Rabbit Bike for our shuttle. Poor service and no follow up.

They were following safety precautions- counting customers in/out & encouraging spacing... there were also directional floor stickers that were regularly ignored. Staff were incredibly friendly and each one we crossed not only greeted us, they also made small talk, without being overly intrusive. Staff were in masks, as were about 50% of patrons. Self-checkout, do no cashier interaction to rate. We were pleased & would shop here again.

I didn't care how long it took She had no customer service skills for someone in her position and you would think someone of her age would. Health care professionals she was not. More like she climbed up from the depths of hell. I would never even visit this store or pharmacy ever ...... I could refill a prescription, a very critical medication, on Monday. Unfortunately, that Monday they are closed for a holiday. Had to wait until Tuesday, could've been a very bad situation for me considering the medication. I live out of town and it is approximately a 60 mile round trip. Told them I could do my errands on Saturday and that would be one day early. They wouldn't make that one day exception to their rules. They are more concerned about policy than patients health and convenience. The other review they have is from a doctor, I'm sure a friend of owner. They must have enough business to be comfortable treating and losing customers this way. Running out of these types of meds is playing with fire.

They have athletic clothes, hats, water bottles, travel/day packs, hiking/running shoes in all the well-known brands, in addition to a good selection of climbing gear. I was especially surprised that they had climbing shoes for my tiny Women's size 6 feet. Peyton was super friendly and helpful with finding the right size and fit for my first pair. I ended up getting some Scarpas from the Clearance Cave downstairs for only $66 :,) The Clearance Cave has tons of clothing and shoe options by the way, but especially for the less common sizes so definitely don't forget to check it out. Granite Sports has a very good moderate-sized inventory, and one of the best options for climbing gear. I drove all the way out here from Rapid for climbing shoes, and I was very satisfied. I'll definitely be back for my next pair.
