I am really shocked by some of the negative reviews that have been sent in about Broken Arrow Vision Clinic. I've been a patient for about 7 or 8 years now and I've never noticed any of the negative behaviors mentioned here. Dr. Beats is absolutely wonderful and I know I can depend on her. After having a problem with my eye while we were on vacation in Florida we called the vision clinic and Dr.Beats came directly to the phone. Within 15 minutes she had me in with an eye doctor in Florida and even gave me her cell number to call if I needed anything after hours. Clinic staff is very nice and listen to what your telling them. The Dr. was attentive to my needs to rectify a problem and find a solution.

I had a torn contact stuck in my left eye. Claire at the front desk is the absolute best! They definitely did a great job when they hired her! She's very attentive, really listens to your concerns, is very prompt to help you with what you need and most importantly, is very empathetic and shows genuine concern. I got right in to see my optometrist, Dr. Colby Beats. I can't say enough good things about her as well. She got that torn lens right out and is always concerned about helping me in any way she can. I've been coming here for years and would have given this place low reviews in the past because the front desk was not great and you left feeling like they didn't care (although both optometrists are great). So my husband picked this place since we need to get our vision check before the end of year. They scheduled us for the same week which was great. They had the paperwork to us before the appointments. I am writing this reviee in their office. When we arrived, the receptionist had this pissed off look on her face. Apparently, no one has told her that she is the first impression people will have of this business. At the counter, she asked can I help you with all this attitude. I told her our names and that we had an appointment at 1pm and 1:20pm. She asked then as for our insurance card which I told her who the vision was with. She snapped "No, your insurance." I stated I have VSP for vision. Then she stated, "No, your medical insurance!" First of all, I am not coming in here for anything other then an eye exam which is covered by VSP. I asked what do you need that for. She proceeded to say with irration, "If anything happens." read more

I have been using BA Vision Clinic for several years for comprehensive eye exams and annual retinal dilation, as I am a diabetic. The office workers have always been pleasant and happy to assist me. I've never had to wait much beyond my arrival time to be seen. Dr. Murrell is really nice, and always makes me feel comfortable with the exams and the eye dilation, which can be a bit disconcerting. Overall, I am happy with the service and care here, and would recommend it to others. read more

I have been going here for years, but I am not impressed with the service I received this year. I haven't worn contact lenses in over 10 years, but I decided I wanted to try some again. When I called to make an appointment, I was told to come by and pick up a sample pair of contacts, then make an appointment for a week later for an eye exam. Today was my eye exam. I showed up in glasses because honestly I didn't know I needed to wear the contacts. The woman at the front desk asked me if I had my contacts with me. I said no, but I live less than a mile away so I can go get them. She told me no, I would have had to have had the contacts in my eyes for at least an hour (ok so why ask if they were with me?). No one ever told me I had to have the contacts in and have them in for at least an hour. I wasted an hour of my day driving from and back to work for an appointment that couldn't happen. When I got back to work, I was curious how much my copay was going to be for the contact lens exam, so I logged into VSP. I noticed that it said I could not get new glasses until 2019, which was weird because I should have been able to get some this year. I contacted VSP and they told be that BA Vision Clinic said I bought some glasses on 3/29/2017. This was terribly incorrect. Back in February, I brought in an old pair of frames and got lenses put in them using my husband's insurance. The lab broke my frames, and BA Vision Clinic replaced them and said they would bill the lab. Apparently they decided to bill VSP instead. So VSP called BA Vision Clinic and about 5 minutes into my hold music, I could hear the VSP rep talking to me like she thought she was still talking to BA Vision Clinic. Apparently BA Vision Clinic hung up on VSP. So VSP called back and told me they would get it taken care of since I did not purchase new glasses. As I said, I have been going here for years, but I will not go back. The staff isn't friendly (though Dr. Murrell is great). read more

I Really liked their selection of frames, in fact I LOVED their selection of frames! Unfortunately I really hated their insurance fraud. They charged for things they didn't do. Coincidentally I switched eye doctors because of this, and my new eye doctor had a new employee who had worked here as well. They shared that it was not a billing oversight, it was common practice! Although the charges didn't cost me any extra, it did cost my insurance more. Tsk tsk tsk. Such a shame, this could have been an amazing optometrist. I suggest anyone who goes here read their bills carefully and if you go for glasses, dispute the assessment fees for contacts, especially when you hear them specifically say they aren't doing a contact test. read more

Well...have been going here since I was 11. Always great service and love Dr. Beats. Haven't been back in a few years because I moved states for awhile. I made an appointment (that was rescheduled 3 times on THEIR part), and they recorded my insurance over the phone weeks BEFORE I arrived. I drive 40 minutes to their office in rush hour traffic (while my mom took off from her job so that she could watch the baby) from my house, and they tell me when I walk in they don't take my insurance. I NEVER write reviews, because I don't believe in being rude to others or businesses over the internet, but this was absolutely unprofessional and rude on behalf of the business itself. First off these reviews have to be skewed, I have never ran into any of these problem I am seeing on this thread so I give them a 5 and here's why. I have been seeing Dr. Murrell for over 5 years and the office workers have always been pleasant and happy to assist me. Usually seen right on time. Dr. Murrell is really nice, and she always makes me feel comfortable with the exams. She explains what is going on with my eyes as she see's it and then offers me multiple suggestions. I am a grown up so I make my decision as an adult would. The clinic has different people to assist you with your Frame purchases and they have always been friendly. The only thing "bad" about this place is the frames are a little high but I am grading the provider not the desk help which is also fantastic. Overall out of 4 eye doctors I have seen in 53 years this is the best place for ME! read more

Exam done and went to order contacts. Told me that a years supply would cost $116 and insurance covered $120. Great! Went back a week after they came in, now the bill is $240 and insurance covers $160 and I owe $80. Told them I needed to do research and would be back. Founds lenses 1/2 price online so decided to only get the amount of lenses insurance would cover. Went back expecting to get $160 worth of lenses, nope! I showed them the estimate receipt they handed me 2 days prior, they walked back somewhere to discuss, come back and says you only can get a 6 month supply with my insurance which is now $120. She looked at me with no explanation whatsoever. I took them and will order the rest online. I will not be returning and will make sure I tell all my friends not to go either. read more

One Star because I can't give it a ZERO. I went in with my fiance to pick up the contact lenses she had purchased. We sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes while 3 or 4 girls carried on a conversation about something that must have been very, very funny. All the while the phones ring and ring and ring. I can only deduce from the amount of laughter that the story they were sharing was just so riveting that they had forgotten they were at work. At one point, upon coming out of the restroom I looked around the corner of the front office wall to see if perhaps there was a clown in the middle of a performance and saw one of the "workers" either asleep or dead on the floor. I asked to speak to the office manager but alas, there is none. Apparently the doctors handle all of the office management, poorly I might add, and were too busy to speak to me. On top of all of that, while I was standing at the front desk I could see one of the "giggle machines" scrolling through Facebook pictures. Here's some helpful advice for the owner(s): 1: Lose the dead weight and hire people who actually care about your patients and their time. Not to mention your bottom line. 2: Hire an office manager. Seriously. This is a no brainer. The doctors should be focusing on the patients. Not the day to day details of the front office. 3: Guest WIFI If you're going to make your patients wait while your employees waste company resources on the internet, at least give your paying customers the same courtesy. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went the end of February 2018 and had an eye exam and bought 1 pair of new glasses 1 pair of Sunglasses and had an old frame add new prescription lenses. I have difficult eyes and am sensitive to everything. I tried to explain that when I first saw the doctor. I paid CASH for all the upgrade for the anti- scratch and glare. I got all my new glasses back and immediately knew they were not right. Had to keep going back and one of the assistants made me feel like it was ME that was the problem. So I stopped going back and went 2 months wearing a prescription too strong. And Her staff said it was probably the way the glasses sit on my nose. I went back the last time and they BENT ALL MY FRAMES!!! I am a single mother on a budget and I paid $970 to this place. I was so frustrated because I knew there was something wrong; so I went to Dr. Zollner and had them re-examine my eyes. ALL THREE were the WRONG prescription. I called Broken Arrow Vision and explained politely they got it wrong and I need it fixed. (living with the wrong prescription or no glasses causes severe headaches). I was told they will fix the glasses ONE AT A TIME . I dropped off one pair on Friday 6/1/18. went in yesterday to see if they had them ready, she said no they are still waiting for the lenses to come in. I, at this point am beyond frustrated and inform the lady they making my life extremely hard right now. I got a call about 30 min after I left their office that they in fact do have the glasses ready but will not do the treatment until I am sure they are right. Okay fine right?!?!? I'll be there when I can get some free time (remember I have to drive back and forth MANY times due to their mistakes) I go in today. Ask about a refund and all I wanted back was the extra exam I had to pay out of pocket. Was told nope, there is no way they can do that for me. Got in my car looked at my glasses and they are bent EVEN MORE... (these were my original glasses that after I had them done at eyemart several years before were a PERFECT FIT) now feel like they are a round fit.. like robocop round. I am wearing contacts so I haven't tried them yet. But basically the staff made me feel like I was in the wrong and they continued to tell me they were all the SAME prescription (they were not) and now they have RUINED my favorite glasses I've had for years. I just gave them $970 and I hope karma does her work here. Because they took my money for nothing and I now will have to pay out of pocket to fix all of my glasses proper. Because I will never go back here. This to me is thievery and just HORRIBLE customer service and they used Dr. Zollners prescription to fix my new glasses. It is 6/7/18 and I am still without proper eye glasses and my eyes in Oklahoma just refuse to have contacts, so I've been miserable with constant headaches since March.
