I don't recall the doctors name it was a man. He was great, staff is great and I received a great prescription!

I'm writing this as the brother of someone who was genuinely mistreated and misled by Look Eyewear and Eye Care. From the very beginning, she was told she could get a deal on three pairs of glasses and that the lenses would be the same as what she already had -- just "not at that price." That turned out to be completely false. After waiting far too long for her glasses, they finally arrived and were completely wrong. She asked for a brownish tint, and instead received a dark rose color that doesn't work for her at all. Nothing matched what she was promised. The manager's behavior made the situation even worse. Their tone toward her was unkind, dismissive, and unhelpful -- as if their mistake was somehow her fault. Watching my sister be treated that way was unacceptable. They refunded the cost of the glasses and handed the frames back to her, but that "solution" left her exactly where she started: no eyewear, no corrected lenses, and no actual eye care after weeks of waiting. She walked away with nothing but frustration. I would not recommend Look Eyewear and Eye Care to anyone who expects honesty, accuracy, professionalism, or basic courtesy. read more

Saw McDaniel again last week, contact problems which are always readily addressed. But I want to address the review by Brittanie, 2/26. Like you I've been going here for years. You said "she", I'm a patient of Chris McDaniel. But I understand that you feel things have changed. They have. And like you, I don't understand it, can't put a finger on it, can't verify a motive. You said, "seemed quite rigid and strange to not be accommodating". Okay we agree, something's awry. But, from my viewpoint, it's still a fun place with the artful displays, the inspired wall paintings, an optometrist who knows sign language, medical competency, etc. Perhaps you'll rethink leaving. read more

I came to Tulsa for a volleyball tournament with a couple of my kids. One of them forgot to bring their contact lenses. As a fellow optometrist, I reached out to the OD community and Dr. McDaniels responded and graciously helped provide my son with a few days of trials to get us by while we were in town. Front desk receptionist said there is a 15 minute grace period for appointments I made it right at the grace period and she said I have to ask the doctor which not sure why if I was there within their grace period. I asked for her to re-ask the doctor when she came back to tell me I found the seen that day. Front lady without getting info from doctor just said I would have to wait longer because she was with someone else already. Doesn't make sense if I was there within their grace period. I have been with them for many years and referred others to them seemed quite rigid and strange to not be accommodating. They said I signed a contract two years ago about the grace period but there is no further communication in their text reminders etc about their grace period as a reminder but hey even if you get there in time you will be canceled based on my experience. I am switching doctors due to this lack of understanding and customer service. read more

This place is absolutely wonderful. I love my doctors. His staff are so helpful and so kind. They really make you feel at home and take care of you. These are the people you want to take care of your eyes. I have multiple bad problems with my eyes, and they taken care of every single one of my problems. Got an eye exam and reading glasses from Look and was very impressed with the service. Dr. Beartrack has long been a family favorite and has seen everyone in the family. Nice digs, very upscale and trendy. However, missed the boat on my readers. They work worse than the $25 pair from Sam's, but I'll be calling them to see what we can do. I'm profoundly deaf, then actually I was worried if he sucks at the sign, lol. Fact. Until I figured it out, and everything was great. Dr. McDaniel is amiable, and he understands what I talked about my visions' issues, then he explained it to me very deep, and I clearly understand him. His staffs are very lovely and well-respects. His equipment is more comfortable, and it would be better than my previous optometrist's machine uses air puff test something like that, which I HATE! His office and atmosphere are spotless and fresh! Ray-Ban? No problem, they already have one, but they can order them for you! I RECOMMEND YOU TO VISIT THIS OFFICE & GET AN APPOINTMENT ON THE DATE AND DAY. LOOK FORWARD HIS BUSINESS WHEN I COME BACK IN NEXT 2 YEARS. They did my exam, I ordered my glasses, I waited a month to pick them up and the day before they told me they were lost, they re-ordered them and they were lost again, I canceled my order and they sent me my prescription by mail and I was never able to order glasses from any other optics since the prescription was never correct. read more

The atmosphere is very professional but light-hearted. The staff is helpful and Dr. McDaniels is very patient and easy-going. I was nervous going to my first eye appointment, but he made sure to explain everything to me clearly and make sure I was comfortable with each step of the process. They have higher end frames, but also offer plenty of options in the 150-300 range as well. I needed a pair of glasses for the first time, but I love the ones I purchased here. New to Tulsa area and needed a prescription due to my kids breaking my glasses on a long unplanned trip to OK. Found LOOK Eyecare off Google and very satisfied with my appointment. The decor was very modern and refreshing. The Ophth.tech who assisted me, I think her name was Ashely, was very friendly, professional, confident in her knowledge, and very personable and welcoming. The Doctor stated they were having system issues and apologized for having me wait, but really I waited like 5 minutes and it was GREAT. The appointment was on time, the front desk was thorough and quick getting my new patient info down, and my appointment itself was thorough. The Doctor was warm and friendly. Provided me with information as to the concern of my newly developed TULSA eye allergies. LOL All in all, the Doctor obviously knew his stuff and at no point in my appointment was I uncomfortable. I visited last week and I couldn't be happier. The doctor took his time to listen to my concerns adjust and then again readjust my prescription. They have modern tech, which allows for them to view your eye without having to dilate, so you can go solo and not worry about needing a ride. I had some health concerns and he looked up different options for me. Definitely the best care I have received in Tulsa. The atmosphere and employees are kind and friendly. I went there after reading reviews, hoping to get a fair deal on replacement lenses for 2 frames that I have. The lenses were to be progressive, thin plastic, anti-glare and anti-scratch. This was my first time going to Look, and much to my surprise, I found out the optometrist Dr. McDaniels was not there when a woman walked in the room at least 20 minutes into my visit. I had to ask who she was, she told me her name, and she was filling in for McDaniels who was out that week. Simply unprofessional for a new patient to not be notified about something like this ahead of time. Yet, I completed the visit and ordered glasses that I was looking forward to wearing. When I went to pick up my new glasses the next week, I discovered they had ordered the wrong lenses--single vision instead of bifocals. An office girl (office manager?? She didn't introduce herself) came to the front and heavily insinuated that the mistake was my fault, and they could order the correct lenses, but it would cost another $105. I was flabbergasted, to say the least, and the girl was condescending and only gave me a half-hearted apology for the "miscommunication." I demanded my money back. Rightfully so, as the paying customer I expected her to take responsibility for the mistake, sincerely apologize, and maybe even knock $25 off the extra $105 that I was not expecting to pay, and I would have paid the extra, waited at least another week for my glasses, but remained a loyal customer. I certainly hope Dr. McDaniels finds out what truly happened, but I suspect it will be pawned off as my mistake and not theirs. read more

My 11 month old son and I went in to have our eyes checked. I could not have been more pleased. I can't say enough good things about LOOK. Professional and friendly staff. Dr. McDaniels takes his time to make sure everything looks right through my lenses. The selection of frames is extensive, which can sometimes make choosing just one pair a little difficult. It was easy to book an appointment when I needed one. When my child broke his glasses, we were able to get a replacement pair very quickly. And if something isn't quite right, they work with you to correct the problem so you can see clearly. My favorite optometrist ever--and I've needed corrective lenses for more than 40 years. I'm very happy with this practice. read more

In my case, I've had trouble getting to a good prescription for a number of years. Chris patiently listened to my problems, finding the right fit for me on the first try - something no other eye doctor has been able to do. Jennifer Butler is also an amazing optician, always taking her time with each patient and paying special attention to their needs. She makes each minor tweak to frames and lenses to ensure a perfect fit and comfort, all the right recommendations, and is meticulous about following up with a patient on everything from insurance and billing to order status. I've never seen such a great team and would not trust my eye care to another doctor after being treated by Chris and Jennifer. They go above and beyond, treating each patient as an individual and with a special touch. Absolutely unparalleled care, I can't recommend them highly enough.
