Although we dined around 3 pm, there were other parties there, our waitress was lively, kind, and attentive, and we quickly received our saucy sandwiches. The lip Smacker was a weekly fave with crisp bacon, smashed fresh beef patties with grilled onions, Swiss cheese and slice of tomato. Topped off with crisp crunchy tots and a nice Pendleton huckleberry wheat beer that hit the spot! Great vibe and local patrons and Phelicia was an awesome hostess! Called in a mobile order for pick up while passing through. Seamless process as it should be got in there is located in a smaller town . Nice bar, aesthetic people seem to be happy there the young woman who took my order and got it ready for me. Was super nice. Let's get to the food. I had a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, mayo, and cheese, and I will say that the burger is great. It's redundant to say that it's hard to mess up a burger however, as many burgers as I've tasted messed up, I have to give credit where credit is due and I would say that I would definitely come back here. The burger patty was seasoned, and the bacon had just enough flavor to perfect what you expect a bacon burger to be so let's give it a 8.3 out of 10 . I normally have great things to say about this place but tonight's experience was very different. I have had their Scottish Eggs many times and they were always good with a hearty wrap of sausage and good ground mustard to go with them. Not tonight. Tonight they were thrown on my table with two over cooked, crunchy and maybe a 1//16th of an inch of sausage and no mustard. Pretty pathetic presentation and taste. My side salad came without cheese, just lettuce and some tomato. It might be a while before we return. So disappointing. read more

Had a mason jar of Shiner beer from the tap, I'm from Texas and shiner is my favorite beer. We were on our way home from Seattle and we usually stop in Penalton or La Grand for lunch but both my husband and I were ready for lunch sooner so thanks to the Yelpers and their great review of the Broken Barrel, we stopped here. Both my husband and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. The meat was fresh and flavorful, served on a ciabatta bun. One of the best burgers I've had. The fries were just the way I like them, thin but not too thin and cooked just right. We will be back the next time we travel through the area. read more

Ashley at the front counter is friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu. Food came out fast hot and delicious. This is a real find traveling on I84 for a little break. Loved it. The only thing they could have to make it better is a larger straw for the milkshake because it is so good you want a hose. Will be making this the new stop when traveling. read more

Very friendly service! Missy was our server and she alone made the experience wonderful.... but the food! I had the grown up grilled cheese and my husband had the barrel club. Both were super yummy, although I was a bit envious of my husband's choice - the honey mustard on the barrel club made it next level! And the tots dipped in their homemade ranch was *chef's kiss. I was served a raw burger there on three different occasions and had to have them made again each time and I mean totally raw and bloody inside! Last night my son ate there against my advice and he got food poisoning! The service can be nonexistent sometimes too where you are just ignored! I came in with a friend from out of town for the Cajun Shrimp Tacos; it wasn't until the third taco he had a strawberry:......... I get it bad day. Went in the other day and all the employees are wearing ridiculous t-shirts like I went to fast food. I won't be back and I assume the market will reflect their decline. I still lobe TBB, but the one thing they do that drives me crazy is that they are stingy with avocado. I mean, really stingy. I ask to add avocado to my grilled cheese sandwich every time, and they barely add any. On a giant sandwich, there were four TINY pieces, and that was more than last time.I will not add it anymore, which is a bummer. Otherwise, I really love this place. read more
