    Brisket sandwich w/sides
    Guy B.

Quick service Brisket was tender the sandwich had a good sauce on it. I had hoped for some smoke flavor I was disappointed with the sides, all seemed under seasoned. The green beans tasted canned as did the bbq beans, but they had some extra flavoring that helped a bit. Potato salad was best of the sides.....but still lacked. Large portion and a great bun for the sandwich.

I'm definitely coming back. The pulled pork sandwich plate was amazing. The brisket infused beans are my favorite side. The green beans are also amazing. Explosive in flavor yet the perfect amount of lightness that perfectly compliments the rest of the plate. Reaper sauce is amazing. We also had the brisket, ribs and spicy sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. The owner is also extremely kind. He threw in a free coleslaw so we can try it with our brisket we bought by the 1/2 lb. Such an amazing pairing. We will definitely try the brisket sandwich topped with coleslaw as intended next time.

Slow smoked N.Carolina pulled pork, I had never had nachos taste so Southern Food truck makes it fast and convenient, located in a pod so something for everyone across from Post Office, plenty parking for trucks behind bart just across the road.

Pulled pork sandwich without bread. Brisket sandwich with bread on the side plus 3 sides: green beans, baked beans and potato salad

So delicious. We tried the pull pork and brisket. Loved the pulled pork and coleslaw combo... the BBQ sauce has a sweetness to it that I really liked. Definitely would recommend stopping by.

The brisket nacho with the Carolina reaper sauce was delicious. I will definitely return to the establishment in the future.

Good bbq with a limited menu. The reaper Rib sandwich is hot so be careful. My favorite is the brisket. The beans are on point too.

We came here on a Sunday, and they do not do reservations so be prepared to wait some if you have a big party. However, for just 2 of us, we waited about 15minutes. This place is your classic cozy brunch spot. Lots of decor on the wall very much feels like a homey spot. Out wait staff was friendly and accommodating. They even helped us move to a larger table when they realized we ordered more food than would fit comfortably on the first table we were sat at. And on that note, the food portions are HUGE. We both ordered an entree of the Homestead benedict but then ordered the famous apple pancake to split. We definitely would have been fine splitting both dishes as the portions are super generous and we ended up having to box some for later. The apple pancake is massive, sweet and very tasty! It's closer to a cake than a pancake, just in thickness, but if you have a group of folks with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend getting this! Overall, this is a solid spot for brunch in Walla Walla!

I ordered the plate with Brisket, the smoked beans and the rice. Sadly they had no biscuits so they subbed it for the pudding. The brisket wasn't too bad but not amazing, flavor was fine but a lot of dark spots but not a big deal overall. The rice was the first major hit for me, the flavor was fine but the amount of oil made the rice almost a paste and they give you a ton of it, it was a heaping mess on the plate. The beans were not bad, kinda hard and oily which was a bit disgusting following the rice. What really made me drop this review down was the banana pudding! It was the most chemically flavored banana pudding I have ever tasted, I ate 1 bite and questioned it, tried a second and realized how bad it really was. Needless to say, the plate is a bit pricey but they give you okay meat and a huge hulking amount of disgusting sides to off set. I was beyond disappointed and do not recommended this place at all! The only plus is the service was quite nice but they really can't save it from the food!

In my personal experience, the vibe here changes noticeably from the day shift to the night shift. During the day, the atmosphere has felt family‑friendly, but at night the local crowd has felt aligned with an alt‑right vibe, and the bartender's style struck me as a kind of cosplay‑MMA persona. To me, that combination comes off as obnoxious and made me feel uneasy. I personally worry that some people there might not be above things like vandalism, theft, or even violence -- that's just my perception based on how the atmosphere felt to me. I'm not claiming anyone there committed those acts; the only documented issues from that night were my stolen keys and slashed bike tires, which I reported to police. I think this place is fine for monthly theme parties, and it feels family‑friendly during the day. But at night and on normal weekends, I personally feel much safer and have more fun at Beer Parlor or Public House. Food is fine, and most of the staff seems good in my experience. It says "bicycle parking," but I personally would not park my bicycle here after dark. My bike's tires were damaged on a previous visit, and I don't want that to happen again, so that's just my personal caution..

The bar is long, with pictures of all the Pendleton Round-Up lining one wall. The place is a fascinating time capsule. Way in the back, beyond the bar and the pool table, a very small dining room with counter service and several humble booths are tucked away next to the kitchen. It's old, and proud of it. I've only eaten there twice; I once had a great breakfast there many years ago with my son. The portions were generous, the service was excellent, and as American style breakfasts go, it was about as good as they get. It's not "inspired food." It's the standard stuff, and there's something comforting about that. It's Americana at it's best. The second time was my birthday, and again, I was there with my son. It was evening. When we got there, we were the only ones occupying the cafe. It looked exactly as it had 20-plus years ago. My son ordered a hamburger and fries. Again, no trendy toppings or fuss, just very fresh, very well prepared hearty fare...exactly what we were looking for. I had their "famous" fried chicken. it was without hesitation, some of the best I'd ever tasted. It came with jo-jos, a salad, and garlic bread. It was all excellent, and almost too much food.
