E four computers per table section but now it's two per table. I think there is 8 near the adult mystery section. There was two in the teen room, but of course if your not. Teen you can't really be there. They do holds like other libraries but unlike others you don't have to call to pick it up. I travel from my hometown because I've been having issues with pick up. Basically the computer will say I have a hold available for pick up but when I try and schedule a pick up it says I don't. Dah I've complained numerous times but the problem persists so I'll travel by bus to mamaroneck and pick up my items till they decide to allow people in. But I never have problems with mamaroneck. In fact I just attended their first zoom coloring class for an hour. I miss coloring in person but it was fun but they are only doing it once a month.

Upon the town's drastic budget changes and the amount it time for this building to be built you'd…read morelike something wonderful would be inside....but no. - when you enter, you will give your books in but they will not check them in immediately - the librarians are loud and will rush you off to another section - the children's room is covered in fabric which is known to carry germs longer. it also has over 6 foot tall bookcases in a children's room. there is also no bathroom nearby - the bathroom is in the basement. near rooms that are used for nothing. frequently you'll find people hanging out down here for no reason. Lastly, these librarians are not nice. The word "hello" is easy to say but it's not said here. They've replaced the head staff twice and no one is friendly. From a more personal point of view, I think this town tried to make a library that would match NYC standards in a town that doesn't care as much about a library as Rye or Larchmont does. The front steps even manage to flood when it rains. I would like to see this library improve but it would cost the town too much money.

It's a library…read more Can't say how many hours I suffered as a kid in here doing projects. Then again as a teenager looking for books to do projects. Been coming here since the early 1980's and whether I worked at a desk inside or borrowed a book, they always had what I needed - I have to admit that, even though at the time (as a kid) I despised the library. Came here intermittently now and then to look for a book here and there, but did notice this place did give itself a facelift internally more than once over the years. Looks much better in both the adult and the children section than it did when my young(ER) self inhabited here. Been coming here a lot more recently so my son can take books out for his daily reading assignments from school. They have most of what he has been looking for and despite the area being a children's section, it's decently maintained. The kid's area has computers for them to use and even a play area for the toddlers. It's not as quiet as it used to be when I was told to "shhhhhhh" long ago. Times have changed. They have music and dvds (for both child and parent) you can borrow if you choose to - kind of reminds me of the decade ago and beyond movie rental business. Of course the books for both are plentiful. Staff has been friendly and helpful. They do have plenty of parking, but at certain times - especially after the 5pm hour - they have gatherings or classes here and the parking lot becomes massively full. For the parents who like to blame the library for not having a book that the local school assigned to their child - blame the school since they assigned 1 book title for over 30 kids. That's happened before and I usually just save myself the trouble and buy the book. Last year I heard a parent yelling at someone in there for not having the book - not the library's fault if someone else got there first and checked it out. Overall a great library in the area. Certainly worth your time.

I take my granddaughter for story time every Tuesday morning. She is 20 months old and she loves it! The staff aims to please. After enrolling my granddaughter for story time, they called me the night before it was due to start to remind us.

I am the author of three books, and my third book is about the country I come from - Georgia. Because many people confuse Georgia with Russia, or with the state of Georgia, I decided to write a book to help Americans better understand my country, its history, culture, and identity. My book, Georgia after the Collapse of the Soviet Union, is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I know I am not a famous author, but I am trying to find my way. I have held book talks at community colleges, local libraries, and coffee shops. I just returned from Los Angeles, where I had a wonderful conversation with students at Glendale Community College. Usually, the process works like this: I visit libraries, introduce myself to directors, and ask if I may hold a talk there. For example, Amagansett Library had me sign a contract and organized the event professionally. With Warner Library, things were very different. At first, I sent three emails to the library director, Ms. Pacciotti, but never received a response because my emails ended up in spam. Three times I went to the library in person, and she was not there. One of the front desk workers even suggested that I file a complaint. I said no, because I did not want to begin a relationship that way. Finally, on my fourth visit, I was lucky enough to meet Ms. Pacciotti in person. It was kind of her to meet with me without an appointment, and together we scheduled my talk for May 28 at 6 p.m. She asked if I wanted to be paid, and I said no. For me, money is not the most important thing. What matters is connecting with local people, meeting my neighbors, and sharing the history and culture of my country. Two weeks before the event, I emailed her asking whether the library was promoting it. Had flyers been printed and shared? A librarian told me the event was not even on the calendar. So how were local people supposed to know about it if the library was not promoting it? I emailed the director again asking what was going on and why the event was not listed on the website, calendar, or social media pages. This is the AI era. A nice flyer and proper promotion could have been created very easily. She later apologized and sent me a simple flyer, but the event still was not properly listed anywhere on the library's website, and the library did not even order my books. I felt deeply disappointed and sad. When you are a director, I believe it is your responsibility to support your local community. I live right near the library on Woodland Avenue in Tarrytown, and honestly, I did not see much effort from her side. I felt like I was not taken seriously and that my work and passion were dismissed. What hurt me most was that after I expressed my feelings honestly, I was told that I was no longer welcome there. This is not the first closed door I have faced in life, but it still hurts. I truly wanted connection and hoped to build something meaningful with my local community. I do not believe I deserved this kind of treatment. Who is responsible for making sure local institutions treat people with professionalism and respect? Who can I write to about this experience? Please open your hearts and be kind to one another. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and humanity. Spread love, not hate. Sissy

I was able to buy 6 or 7 hard cover children's books for $10. They accept Zelle if you don't have cash! The main library is on the second floor. They have a spacious children's section with some seating. Employees were quick to ask if I needed help. They have a monthly calendar of events with something scheduled just about every day. In order to get a library card, you have to be a resident of the specific town or city where the library is located. So in this case, you have to live in Eastchester to get a card here. However, once you have a library card for a Westchester library, you can use it in any library in the county.

This is an old simple library in Riverdale. They do have events for adults and children. Check on…read morenypl.org. It can use some renovations but it serves it's purpose. I even saw one person teaching online in this open library. There are couches and comfortable chairs here.
