I was driving to Chicago from Indy every 3 months and finally decided that I had to find someone close by. I needed to get my hair colored and get my clip In extensions matched for my wedding (2.5 weeks after my appointment). Paige has awesome reviews on here and was close to my home so I decided to check her out. She back with me really quickly to set my appointment and asked some detailed questions to make sure she knew exactly what I was wanting. When I got to the salon, she looked at my hair, talked about what I was wanting again and then did something I've never experienced in a salon. She sat down and asked me "what do you like about your hair?". She explained what the color would look like after and how to maintain it. She also have me a price estimate right away and asked if that was going to be ok. While I sipped on my wine (what's better than drinking wine while you get your hair done?), she worked her magic. I am SO in love with my hair and so happy that I found her. I can head off to the DR to get married with total confidence!

I called her and left a voicemail, and she called back and left a voicemail a day later. I called her back a couple days after that and left another voicemail... and didn't hear back for 2 weeks. I had to try 3 more times to finally get a hole of her. Normally by that point I would have given up but I paid for the gift certificate and didn't want to lose it. When I made it to the salon for my finally-schedueled appointment, it was very nice. I wasn't greeted super promptly but within a couple minutes, and I was offeredf a glass of water, wine, or beer. i took the wine (of course). My stylist was running about 10 minutes late but no one bothered to tell me. What saved this review is the awesome job that Rachel did on my hair. It really looks beautiful. Perfectly placed highlights and nice long layers with lots of movement and bounce. The styling lasted all day as well. Each stylist sets their own prices as well, so I don't know what's normal there as far as prices, hours, and services offers. My total was $130 for the highlights and cut, then the $50 off. For the qualiy of the work I think it was a fair price. I may or may not go back depending on how hard it is to get a hold of her again!

New to the area and needed my roots done with gray coverage and a plan for transition back to…read moreblonde. Stylist told me she would do my roots a shade lighter and then tone and blend in, plus cut. On my initial visit the hot water was out and I thought it was a fluke. Six weeks later I go back for a second appointment and tell my stylist that the light color did not blend with the rest of my hair and needed to be fixed. She tells me she'll tone it. She puts color in my hair, set me by the wash station and left me there for an hour while she did somebody else's hair. When she came back, she apologized and said the hot water was out again. So I got another cold hair wash, she dry it, and the color was not blended and I ended up with light roots and dark hair. I ended up having to go to somebody else for a color correct because not only where the root slider than the rest of my hair and not blended, the roots weren't even consistently colored, spots missed, gray not covered. These pictures were taken seven days after the color appointment. I won't be back, I paid $200 for the most experienced colorist on Staff and what I got was bad color with cold water.

I told her I appreciated her opinion, but I was willing to take the risk of some slight breakage, given that I've been highlighting my hair on and off for 20 years. I'm aware of the risks. She continued to refuse, then went on about how horrible my hair was. If you have anything but perfectly thick dark hair, do NOT schedule with Krystal. She was demeaning and rude.
