I feel that the most important thing in finding a good doctor is finding one who really listens to you and understands whatever problem you are having. They must understand you problem before they can treat you. My favorite is Alexandra Sloan, PA-C. She has seen me through breast cancer, gallbladder, and any number of minor infections and other health related issues. The office is run by a wonderfully organized group of people. So you don't have long waits but you also don't feel rushed. I feel like they have my best interests at heart!

I am very impressed with both the staff at the Dr's office, as well as Dr. Ruggerio himself. I didn't wait for anything more then a few minutes at any point in time, even in the actual waiting room, which is where the majority of patients are kept suffering in my experience. I was called in within ten minutes to a room, and seen almost immediately by Dr. Ruggerio. Not only did he have a very thorough understanding of my RA, he also did an in-depth analysis of my medical history to make some recommendations that would help manage RA better. Unlike some other doctors, he really spent time getting to know my medical history and helping me out. I didn't feel at any point in time like he felt rushed or bored and ready to move on to the next patient. Imagine; a doctor that actually CARES about his patients and not just his pocket. The staff follow up was excellent as well. The nurse sat with me to look up some specialists in the area (I was still travelling to NY to see my rhematologist a few times a year), and called a few days later to check in. They are extremely fast at getting back to you when you call with concerns or are in need of refills, and also fill prescriptions via Blackberry on the spot. Now that's service!
