*Update , two months after the first visit I just found out they refilled the wrong generic…read moremedication and it has been detrimental to my health. Not sure what is worse, the office staff or the the attending physicians. They will waste your time, your deductible's, and energy. For simple things that can be diagnosed with a primary care physician FIRST VISIT, Smith came in read a list of medications i am on, then ordered blood test results and left the room, asked if I had any questions while half way out the door... waited two weeks for blood results, would of waited longer if I did not call and ask to have assess to the portal. When i messaged Smith and expressed concern she wrote me back with a "schedule an office visit or may try infectious disease no referral is needed for your plan" (this is taken right from the message in the portal) that sounds extreme since I am working with what I thought was going to be my primary??? I called the office to see another provider, I go in and the new provider "Darnell" did express interest in my concerns however to be safe ordered more blood test and gave a referral to a dermatologist. As I was checking out for that appointment I asked for print outs of the blood work orders and referral, however was told TWICE that it was sent electronically. I went home and made an apt for Quest the next day before work, I even emailed Darnell in the portal to confirm it was sent electronically... I go to the quest apt and they do not have the orders, well one of the quest do, the one I told the front desk THREE TIMES the day before was not the one I went to... they asked to confirm, I told them it was wrong, it was a different location *gave location* was told okay, and moved on. After wasting my time at quest, I call CH to get the orders EMAILED to me, and make another apt over a week later because of the hurricane. When I came in for this last appointment, I waited 40 mins past my appointment time before Darnell came in to the room to pull up my results and read them to me in real time, I already knew what they were when I requested my full visit records to my email , and that's where I finally saw my referral (two weeks later) because I am supposed to magically know where that referral was sent, I have nothing better to do but call around or wait on hold the upwards of 20+ mins the 5-6 times I had to call this location. When I asked what my PRIMARY was going to do for me, she stated "I'M not going to do anything". why do I have a primary ? why does my ins pay do much out for someone to look at blood test results and pass me off ? Maybe I would understand if the staff took the time to explain anything... or at least give the impression they care, and you are not just another number... SAD I read reviews and I was hopeful this would be a great location.

They try to work you in when nothing is "available", and having two locations (the other is in DeLand) helps with this. It I s true that sometimes there is a wait, but it is more than worth it for your health. The waiting is typically due to the fact that patients are listened to, and actually treated like meaningful human beings instead of cattle, like at other insurance-driven medical practices. Patience is a virtue, especially when it is for a great medical team.

While the office itself is fairly large and on both occasions I've seen a few folks waiting, patients are brought back fairly quickly. The nurse I've seen twice is personable yet professional. Dr. Constant is incredibly thorough, organized and has a great "bed-side manner. He made knowledge pertaining to my thyroid highly accessible to me without ever being condescending. While he is working with a patient, he has someone in the exam room transcribing for him. I believe this allows him to spend more time addressing patient concerns as opposed to documenting. I would highly recommend Dr. Constant for care of your endocrine system.

I would have loved to have come in but I never got notified about this place being open. I came back recently due to their REFUSAL to refill my insulin. They refused to fill my insulin to force me to come in when they hadn't attempted to reschedule my appointment when they reopened! When they refused to refill my insulin I went to make an appointment and it was schedule 7 weeks later. I had to buy my insulin on the open market even though I had health insurance. I was most frustrated because if they had simply told me they were open I would have been in. Do they forget that nearly everyone has phones? They certainly knew I had a phone due to their prior pandemic reminders, and their text message asking me to confirm my appointment earlier today. Did something happen to create an atmosphere of apathy here? Is there some new research that says denying diabetics insulin is helpful? Is denying diabetics insulin the most efficient way to contact their patients? If you're a diabetic with a predictable life then this might be the place for you. But if your life is chaotic I would recommend going to doctor who swore an oath to do no harm. They get two stars because they've done good work in the past. I wish they'd return to their previous quality

She told me I had to go online and fill out some forms, send over any labs, and also get any medical notes from my doctor. She told me that they're only a treatment office and they don't diagnose. Then, she told me that if I couldn't get my records from my doctor, they would not schedule me. She refused to have me come over and sign a consent form for my doctors office so they could request the records which is normal practice. Then, I literally said this isn't personal, but if it doctors's office doesn't diagnose and is only willing to see patients if they get all of their own medical records, it doesn't sound like they are really in it for patient health. So, she said to me that I could say back that patients every day do what they need to and bring their medical records in. I'm just surprised that these people are the gate keepers for professional and good medical doctors. I am more than sure that the physicians there do not know that this woman literally stood in the way of me being able to have an appointment with them for them to decide if they wanted to see me or not. Not everyone can get their medical records and that's why doctors offices do coordination of care. It is common practice for a patient of a new provider to sign a consent form so the doctor from the previous practice can get the full medical record. She didn't like talking to me, so then she hung up on me. I hope the doctors or someone in that office read this message. This woman literally made the decision on if those doctors are going to treat me or not. I also have a hard time believing that they don't diagnose. Why are you an endocrinologist if you don't diagnose?

However,…read moremy experience attempting to establish care as a new patient raised significant concerns about the administrative side of the practice. I called the office shortly before closing to ask about the new patient process. After waiting on hold, my call was answered but disconnected while I was introducing myself and explaining that I was a new patient. I called back immediately and remained on hold until the call was routed to the after-hours answering service, who took a message. I then downloaded the new patient paperwork from the website and completed the forms, but the email address listed on the website for submission returned my email as undeliverable on multiple attempts. Based on these interactions, I was unable to establish contact or submit new patient paperwork. While Dr. Pipek may be an excellent physician, my experience with the new patient intake process and front office communication left me with no confidence that I could rely on the administrative staff to provide the level of communication, record handling, and coordination that I expect from a medical provider. These administrative functions are a critical part of patient care.

The ISSUE is this - they have got to have one of THE worst office managers on the planet! They have issues managing their data; we've gone into his office several times and had Dr. Pipek tell us he doesn't have the data from another office, lab, procedure, etc. I mean if it happened once, maybe twice I would say it could be the fault of the other office/lab, etc - however, this has happened multiple times! We've called several times and been on the phone upwards of 20 + minutes trying to get someone to answer the phone and finally just hung up. We've had to call multiple times to have orders faxed over to different labs and offices to have work done, etc. and that rarely happens - we've either had to have the lab/offices contact Dr Pipek's office to get the info. This is just not very professional. I mean it's one thing when the doctor is awesome - but whoever is managing the administration part of his practice is HORRIBLE and makes the experience painful! Additionally, I did call twice to get the office manager on the phone and have yet to have any luck with that endeavor.

He seemed more interested in pushing weight loss medication then what I was there for, I will not return to see him . Still waiting on results of test, 2 weeks later. Not very patient friendly. I will continue to have PCP follow my thyroid levels . Not a good feeling about quality of care.
